THE FLASH WILL MAKE LESS THAN BLACK ADAM ON IT'S OPENING WEEKEND

HOLY FRICK

Of course they're counting this a 4 day weekend to look less embarassing but there's a chance the BO will continue to fall and it'll still be in the mid 60s even when counting Juneteenth.

morbius posting was clearly weaponized as a shill campaign. it actually gave them free ads by the "journalists" who made articles about it but they didn't considered people don't want to waste their time and money watching a bad movie.

This has been a bad summer for the box office in general. The only saving grace so far is Spider-Verse and enough then it's not amazing (I'm actually surprised myself, I thought it could easily hit over $700M). As of now, the only movies that can prop up the numbers are Mission Impossible and Barbie.
tl;dr Hollywood is having a bad summer and the ride only seems to be getting worse.

You're right, my bad. GotG 3 released so early into the summer that I forgot about it. That and 3's making less than 2, despite inflation and an increased budget so it's harder to call it a true success.

The only real massive success is Mario. Fans fell over themselves to say how amazing Spiderverse box office is compared to its budget but other animated films with the same budget have made over a billion.

It's kinda of weird seeing Dwayne hit Rock Bottom now. He got big, his head got too big, he bullied his way into WB thinking he could take over, pissed people off, misled the stock market of WB's value what with flubbed Black Adam ticket sales, and now he's running back to Vin Diesel for Fast & Furious work.

Black Adam only did as well as it did because the audience liked Dwayne. Ezra has nothing but bad press.

Neat detail I noticed. The DC films in modern settings take place in real time Flashpoint Barry has MK9 on his desktop, which was released in 2011, and Man of Steel occurs in 2013. Our Barry mentions Zod has appeared earlier than expected (2011) and Flashpoint Barry is only 18, meaning the film takes place in 2011. The Flashpoint storyline was published in 2011. I know this is a numbers thread but I think it's a detail worth pointing out.

Well I just saw the movie and I need to let out my emotions so you frickfaces will have to listen.

First off, I'll start with the positives. The section of the movie with Keaton Batman and Kara and Zod was great. If the movie was a lot of that and a lot less of Miller Flash being an annoying, charismaless homosexual. The idea was generally good concept. Flash becomes his own villain trying to fix shit that he can't possibly fix. The ending bit with his mom was actual emotional, maybe I am just a homosexual who misses his mom and dad but it got me a bit.Main Miller Flash during the second half was generally the closest to Barry Allen, other than that he was like some weird Thawne autist throughout the entire movie. Seeing the other universes were neat, I suppose.

I swear the first 15 minutes with the babies almost had me walk out of the theater, shit was unbearable and unfunny, I wanted to die. The movie kept doing shit that kind of lead to other questions in my mind. Like for instances, Flash can't move people a long distance without hurting them and yet they get to Wayne manor rather quickly despite the seeming time crunch with Zod looming. Miller just isn't Barry Allen, there is no way around it.
