Started playing a marathon of old Adult Swim shows and this started playing. I was watching the channel back in middle school too when shows like Sealab were airing.
Anyone think it was a good show? Cause I'm kinda interested in looking it up now.

The animation wasn't that bad actually but other than that it came across like your typical family sitcom. Surprised it aired on Adult Swim of all places.
I avoided watching it as a child because it was an adaptation of one of the least funny Sunday paper comics.

Oh yeah, I forgot it was a comic first. Man, that was a weird era of cartoons where they were adapting all the Sunday funnies. Was that because of Garfield or was there some other hit I forgot about?
I think Dilbert was the biggest one aimed at adult audiences at that time. But its a tried and true tradition. The Addams Family all the way back in the 60s was from a comic strip. I knew the Dilbert strip was huge, but I guess I thought the show was a flop or something. That would definitely explain it.
I watched like 3 episodes and its mid, passable.
Would never go out of my way to watch it but wouldnt mind if it comes on for an ep on the TV

Adult Swim is owned by WB, who also owned the WB network. They tried to make an 'animation domination' rival, but it didn't do too well and all the shows got pushed to AS in reruns. Oblongs came from that block too. God The Devil and Bob, and I think one or two others. Maybe the clerks cartoon?
Yeah, Mission Hill too. I'm glad Adult Swim managed to at least get the full season to air. I loved the show when it aired on WB. So disappointed when it got cancelled.
Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure Dilbert also got a cartoon adaptation on UPN around the same year.
I remember for a time they were pushing this show on AS but I remember nothing about it.
I feel like I remember this show and family guy airing around the same time and thinking it wasnt as funny. the newspaper comic is mid as well

I watched it on Adult Swim but that was a long time ago and I was young. I really like it but all I can remember now is the opening theme.
I remember seeing the comic as a kid then saw a few episodes of this on as when it first originally aired there. It was a terrible comic made into a terrible and edgier show, not really worth discussing.

I fricking love Saul of the Molemen. I do not like Heart She Holler and I'm sad it was made by the Xavier guys.
Loved the heart she holler, but it was incredibly off putting for a few episodes. I kept watching for kristen schaal and was not disappointed. Shame they replaced her. The videotape dad was such a moronic and surreal concept, it really grew on me. Oswald was annoying through and through, though.

I used to watch this show on Adult Swim. I kind of want to watch it again, but I think it might make me depressed that I'll never have a perfect sitcom life 🙁
Its decent. Mission Hill is the superior canadian cartoon that adult swim bought the rights to at the same time. The 9/11 episode is a work of art and has aged like fine wine, especially after covid and ape out riots. Not to mention
