>we're going to start out super hero universe with a show about a non-powered government spook that only works as a character after audiences have been introduced to the rogue's galaries of all the characters
How can Superman be a young guy if Waller already has Bloodsport in her custody when he went to prison for shooting Superman?
If you agree The Batman is so successful that it shouldn't be part of a shared universe, shouldn't that be your hint that none of your movies should be a shared universe?
Flash is now the third boxoffice bomb in a row, Blue Beetle will be the next one. Im predicting that Zaslav will put Gunns DC plans on ice and they will just continue with Joker and The Batman sequels.

Well, The Batman kinda broke that streak.
"They" can blame covid for WW84 and SS, but theres no excuse after that.
Non-Batman DC-films just dont make money anymore, SHUT IT DOWN.
If only we were so lucky the whole thing gets axed.
The only film I'm dreading is Booster Gold because I'm afraid of how they'll destroy it. Don't give a flying frick about the others.
>Live Action series Booster
Could be funny >live action series lantern
Eh, feels like the Lantern Corps are inherently too high budget for a TV show. You'd need animation or a movie to pull it off properly.
This looks like a lot of low budget television, Joker and Batman stuff that would happen with or without Gunn, and some movies that are either mostly finished before Gunn or super-unlikely to happen at all.
So basically Max turns into the new CW.
Lanterns is supposed to be Earth based and a detective story. Since they compared it to Season One of True Detective I think it will be the low-key introduction into the New Gods.
Genuine question to WWchads, how come WW and the Amazons are all depicted with such, furious seriousness? Even in JL/JLU, Wonder Woman was pretty no-nonsense, which was fine I mean, but.. I dunno.
I look at Wonder Woman and expect something pulpy and fun: she's wearing the american flag and has a golden lasso of truth. Is WW ever depicted like how I'm describing, or was she always this serious...?
Is Calle gonna stay on as supergirl?
Is Ezra gonna stay on as flash?
Is Batman gonna stay on as Affleck?
Is the new Superman gonna be black?
Is Gadot gonna stay on as WW?
Is Blue Beetle gonna bomb worse than any other superhero movie in modern history?
Will Gunn shit the bed?
Well, I'm looking forward to quite a few of these c:
My question, though: the latest film on the block is gonna be Superman, which is summer 2025, and the only date prior to that which we know of is Aquaman 2, which's this december. What the hell is gonna be coming out in 2024...?
Oh yeah just noticed. Lol, my bad.
Still, that's October 2024... is that really it? Do we know if that animated Batman series is at least finally coming out, next year?
I feel streaming is making this even harder to connect it all. I hope Gunn does well because I like Dc more than marvel, but it’s tough juggling all the parts. Not a condense marvel struggled as soon as they needed to pump out streaming and connect the slate.
I don't know what Gunn was thinking when he watched The Flash and thought it was a good idea to leave Muschietti take TBaTB.
Hopefully he'll change his mind before production start.
the only thing entertaining that will come out of James Gunn’s edgelord pedoverse will be the inevitable cope and seethe from his moron fans when all these movies flop just like TSS
Why are they already planning on more stuff. JUST FOCUS ON SUPERMAN. Then do this: >Batman >Wonder Woman >The Flash >Aquaman >Green Lantern >Martian Manhunter >The Justice League.
That simple. That's literally how it happened in the comics.
Not fatigue. Everybody failed to get a CU going while Disney was still raking it in because nobody could replicate what Paramount and Disney accidentally did.
Zero excitement for anything on that slate (hated The Batman & The Joker, so I cannot even get pumped for the Elseworlds brand). Shitty writers, shitty consultants (how moronic you must be to approve, hire & pay Tom King to be on your team - one of the worst modern DC writers with no understanding of Batman or any other iconic characters?), directors, producers & content makers.
Gunn is a hack (his Suicide Squad was boring, pretentious & worse than the Hot Topic one from 2016), a liar (it's an unforgivable sin to hype up the Flash while knowing that it's a turd & shutting up instead of spewing false praise) & a terrible spokesperson for the brand. Also, his post credits Flash scene idea with Clooney sucked big time & created even more confusion in the Snyderverse realm where it wasn't fricking necessary.
The fact that he allowed the Brave & the Bold to be directed by Mouseketerietti instantly turned it from a project with some glimmer of potential hope into an MCU-level quip of a non-event fart.
This is truly the worst timeline to live in. Frick DC, frick Warner Bros, hope CBM dies in flames - general audience is really catching up to mid content nowadays & it shows in less & less BO returns as well as unforgiving social media reactions. Serves them right for trying to brainwash the fans & the viewers, & thinking that they can get away with it.
I'm an old chum with an old school taste for legitimate stories with morale & life lessons, kiddo. I'm too cynical & unfiltered to be tricked by the questionable taste of today's youth. The Dark Knight was the last great DC film. Period. After that, all that you got was a barrage of style over substance mid popcorn flicks (not films) with decent fanservice moments here & there but nothing that added anything new or groundbreaking to the genre in terms of story, character & narrative progression (key elements of a successful CBM film). I know you will disagree with this but this is my personal take on what's currently going on in the world. I'm weary & devoid of hope for the future of your generation & I cannot offer any solace or alternative that would change things for the better...
>legitimate stories with morale & life lessons, kiddo
So The Batman's ending monologue? >I'm weary & devoid of hope for the future of your generation & I cannot offer any solace or alternative that would change things for the better...
Maybe don't get that worked up over capeshit.
>Cancel a good Swamp Thing show just because a movie is planned like 6 years down the line >Movie will likely be shit and if not it will be cancelled
Bravo
There's no hope for any of these.
It is just a giant clusterfrick and disappointing to even think about.
They should just stop trying to build a cinematic universe. They don't have the patience to do it right and it's too soon anyway after the last failed attempt.
>James Gunn
These movies are all going to have shitty glam rock soundtracks and "quirky" characters that are just mouthpieces for Gunn's political beliefs. No thanks.
You all fricking suck. >"Wahh wahh, why do they keep making Batman and Superman movies nonstop, I want movies based on the more obscure characters for once!" >"WAAAAHH, who cares about all of these?? I just want BATMAN"
go watch Doom Patrol you entitled little shits.
You need to establish your core characters before doing projects with more obscure ones. The Flash proves that no one will see a movie just because they recognize A-listers like The Flash and Batman, because the previous movies have been so poor and mismanged. What shot does Blue Beetle have, even if it's good, if they can't get Batman and Superman right?
Gunn should be using this writers strick as an excuse to buy time, re-examine his plans and have a full reboot. Nothing on his slate is using the old actors or is a sequel to anything from the DCEU anyway.
There's no benefits and it will just drag them down
>let's doompost and wallow in imagined misery: the thread

> Canceling The Flash as soon as the choking video went online (it should never have been a flashpoint adaption regardless)
> Make a Batman Beyond movie with Keaton, Timothée Chalamet as Terry & Charles Dance as Blight.
Cringe. I can't wait for the endless shitposting these movies will encourage.
Here, I've edited the pic to remove what's probably getting cancelled
Academy Award Winner Viola Davis is not getting her show cancelled. It's going to be awesome.
Hopefully they'll just adapt the Janus Directive.
>we're going to start out super hero universe with a show about a non-powered government spook that only works as a character after audiences have been introduced to the rogue's galaries of all the characters
How can Superman be a young guy if Waller already has Bloodsport in her custody when he went to prison for shooting Superman?
The Superman movie is a prequel that takes place years in the past. The Batman movie is present-time.
>more prequel time-frickery
DC just can't stop fricking everything up
>Academy Award Winner Viola Davis is not getting her show cancelled.
WB can barely afford her to begin with
>Academy Award Winner Viola Davis
after The Woman King she ain't shit
>Academy Award Winner Regina King is not getting her show cancelled. It's going to be awesome.
How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?
>haven't seen the Blue Beetle trailer yet
>imitating moments better seen in other Marvel movies
>"Batman's a fascist!"
Yeah, no. That's not a good foot to set off from.
Bold to assume some vindictive WB suit/Zaslav won't kneecap any of those for whatever reason.
I can't wait to watch Universe reset
>some
>Blue Beetle
>AQUAMAN
If you agree The Batman is so successful that it shouldn't be part of a shared universe, shouldn't that be your hint that none of your movies should be a shared universe?
Just make good movies. Frick.
Flash is now the third boxoffice bomb in a row, Blue Beetle will be the next one. Im predicting that Zaslav will put Gunns DC plans on ice and they will just continue with Joker and The Batman sequels.
I genuinely believe Blue Beetle is going to surprise us. Nobody is prepared for the money you can make by producing latino tokusatsu.
He insulted Batman, hispanics love Batman.
Nah, nobody wants that Iron-Spider abomination.
Trailer looks like garbage, no big names attached... wasnt it even origally made for a streaming?
Nah Blue Beetle will bomb worse than Flash then Aquaman will inexplicably make a billion again just like the last time DC looked dead
That hispanics ain't my Beetle.
>I genuinely believe Blue Beetle is going to surprise us.

The Batman isn't DCEU
And it still underperformed under the Marvel movies from that year which is insane.

Found it.

They already made him a black guy in one of the CW shows. How much worse can it get?
>Live Action series Booster
Could be funny
>live action series lantern
Eh, feels like the Lantern Corps are inherently too high budget for a TV show. You'd need animation or a movie to pull it off properly.
they can pull a series for the lanterns if they don't go past 10 episodes per season.
Paradise Lost sounds cool. Is it Lucifer-related?
Amazons, it's a reference to Themyscira. Pre-Wonder Woman Amazons show that Gunn compared to Game of Thrones.
Dead on arrival.
Genuine question to WWchads, how come WW and the Amazons are all depicted with such, furious seriousness? Even in JL/JLU, Wonder Woman was pretty no-nonsense, which was fine I mean, but.. I dunno.

That’s never happening after ww84 tried to be campy
But thats not what I asked, has it been campy and fun in a good way in the past...?
>you really want investors to see you make the same old mistake all over again after making all those new mistakes?
Kiss Lanterns goodbye
As a GLchad, I don’t think I’d want it given Tom King would have a hand in it.

Creature Commandos & Penguin
Im a Batman fan, not a dc fan.
Why the frick is anyone going to care about an Authority movie? Or a Creature Commandos TV series?
Just fricking make Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman. And then bring back DCSHG.
How can Aquaman 2 be post-universe reset?
That doesn’t make sense.
Because parts of this are still being mandated by suits who see money, and don't understand story.
Flash spoilers:
Aquabro is in the post credits scene getting blackout drunk with Barry.
But Brave & the Bold isn't going to be with Clooney. So we fricking know the end of The Flash is not the Gunn-verse.
>But Brave & the Bold isn't going to be with Clooney.
I never said it was. I only pointed out the end credits scene.
>could just announce four projects and get people hyped that way
>nah just vomit 15 suggestions onto a graphic and turn it all into noise
I know this kinda of bloated multiverse roadmap shit is mostly for shareholders, but it's still hilariously awful.
To make this even worse, according to Gunn this is less than half of the slate they have planned for these next 10 years.
But they have a Batman movie... set in a completely different universe...
Post the DCEU version
I feel streaming is making this even harder to connect it all. I hope Gunn does well because I like Dc more than marvel, but it’s tough juggling all the parts. Not a condense marvel struggled as soon as they needed to pump out streaming and connect the slate.
Coincidence, not condense, whoops.
just realized the Brave and the Bold logo is the Batfleck logo
>Andy muschietti directing brave and the bold
It was over before it began.
They'd be crazy to keep him on not only after a megaflop but one that wasn't critically well received
