No, the ending was fantastic. The fight scenes were exceptional. The culmination of Zuko's ark, his fight betelween his sister, Aang's showdown with the firelord. It still gives me goosebumps. The animation and music are great. And the way Aang defeats the firelord, b***h all you want. It was great.
You have to at least admit that the last battle with the Firelord was weak from the asspull power Aang got. Instead of the Firelord getting killed, like he deserved, Aang used his power that he got at the last minute from a floating turtle island in the ocean. I get that Aang is a monk and just a kid but that was some bullshit. When he stopped that final attack I just knew that it was some corny "All life is sacred" shit. Also Nickelodeon probably didnt want to show a guy getting killed which is just stupid anyways. Its an evil guy getting killed, why not show it? The ending didnt suck, the fight didnt suck, it was only the last moments of the fight that suck.
Its a great show. Im just saying that the last fight was ruined due to that lame final attack.
No. Im not perpetually stuck in the mindset of an edgy teenager. I understand that the best ending doesnt involve death. Youll understand when youre older kid.
Its not "edgy" to have evil characters killed. In the world of Avatar it would justice for the Firelord to die, just as the other avatars said. Thats the resposiblity of being the avatar.

tbh they (sort of) showed Kyoshi killing Chin the Conquerer.
it's a bigger punishment for a b***h to have all of his magic powers taken away permanently while he watches a peaceloving gay like Aang who undoes everything he was fighting for and establishes world peace among the nations.
i agree the deus ex machina is still pretty lame tho. i wish there was more of a setup for the lion turtle instead of just a picture in Wan Shi Tong's library shown on-screen for 2 seconds.
They should have done the Wan origin story in ATLA instead of Korra. That way we see the Lion Turtles gave humans the ability to bend so it would make sense they would also have the ability to take it away while still making it a surprise that they could pass that ability on to the Avatar.
There's a nice "ask, and ye shall receive" element to it. Aang is troubled by the apparent necessity of killing the Fire Lord for the entire episode. He isn't flippant about it or willing to play it by ear. It's not a joke to him. The emergence of the Lion Turtle was something nobody saw coming, and only impacted the Avatar during his time of spiritual tribulation. He meditates and consults with his past lives and wracks his mind for any other solution besides murder, and constantly comes up short. But he never gives up, which is why he bothers to ask the Lion Turtle what he should do. The Lion Turtle itself is a mysterious and apparently ancient creature that is also of two worlds like the Avatar. It represents the apex of spiritual growth and the benevolence of the universe. Only through deep meditation and righteous determination is Aang able to connect with this creature, and ultimately find another way. That he learns how to bend the spirit is the logical conclusion of his development as the Avatar and his maturation as a monk. Two worlds in harmony. It's beautiful and poetic.
No it isn't. He pussied out, again, because he's a selfish b***h and got rewarded for it. He showed he hadn't grown or learned anything at all. Everything you wrote is just delusional cope.
PS. Katara utterly ruined the Zuko vs Azula finale and anyone who argues otherwise should be beaten with tire irons.
Nice way of putting it. However, Aang didnt really learn anything. The power to remove bending is a great power and the avatar should have it if anyone, but we have seen in the show many people who eventhought they cant bend could be threats. Maybe not to the whole world, but a threat to peace still. If Aang had killed the Firelord he would have learned that such an act should only be saved for the most evil of people, the most final resort. It would have brought him closer to his past selves in this understanding and a greater conmection to his role as the protector of the world. Hesitation to kill made the Fire Nation in to a monster it was. Instead it gives him an out to remain the peaceful child he is. Through out the show Aang's biggest problems was him accepting his role, perhaps this would have made him understand.
I want to agree with you but the turtle and the answer it gives are just far too convenient and far too LATE in the story for it to feel rewarding, it needed far more buildup, instead it felt like Aang gets to skip out on making a hard decision because the right answer falls right in his lap, even if that decision is objectively perfect for him
>Aang is troubled by the apparent necessity of killing the Fire Lord for the entire episode.
Something he didnt worry about with any other enemy. >The Lion Turtle itself is a mysterious and apparently ancient creature that is also of two worlds like the Avatar.
it's quite literally an asspulled plot device which comes out of nowhere. Worst part is, as lame as the lion turtle is, no one would have complained if it had just the bare minimum of build up like idk, this mysthical creature Aang mentions when reading an scroll.
Also those laser beams are pretty moronic too what the frick was that.

i feel like i wasn't as pissed off at the ending as everyone else because i didn't like Aang. he's the protag and gets special protag privileges, which made him boring to me lol.
Last Airbender is good lot issues fans ignore. I feel like if the right show runner came around and a network that lets a series stretch it's legs it could easily be topped.
I don't think anything better will come out of US animation any soon. Both the corporate world and the cultural zeitgeist are not in the right place for this.
Yeah, no other show can match it at being the worst piece of crap ever made
Your Black person is showing anon.
Black folk like this show anon, I have seen black people go autistic with this show and how its better than 99% of anime
Ah I see, you're just a butthurt weeb
No, I dont like this show just saying Black folk like this show, hell barely watch any anime I only watch cartoons like AT RS and Tawog
That's really sad.
The ending was weet ik

>Zuko's ark
am currently uncontrollably imagining Prince Zuko on Noah's ark filled with turtleducks.
You know who else had an ark? Zuko.

I don't think it was possible to be any different as a Nick show. It's already a miracle it got to be made and be as good as it is in the first place.
Its a great show. Im just saying that the last fight was ruined due to that lame final attack.

An acceptable monkey's paw given the circumstances
If youve ever killed a man, even if you were justified, youd understand that the beat possible ending involves mercy.

Exactly. Well put.
It wont be enough for these butt fricking monkeys, but its a good explanation.

The one who hasn't learned is you, anon. You are too spiteful to learn.
Aang learned how to become moronic in a couple episodes
That guy probably forgot Aang is also vegetarian.
Digits of truth.
Aang at the beginning of the series
>I don't wanna do my job so I'm gonna let everyone die first
Aang at the end of the series
>I don't wanna do my job so I'm gonna let everyone die first
Aang does his job and saves everyone in the Earth Kingdom from getting roasted alive. DYEWTS?

>weebs be like: yo dragon ballz and naruto is better than this show
Unironically true, even though Naruto is shit
/co greatest show is a psuedo anime

do you think me browsing Reddit is some kind of epic own?
this. is you.
Learn to type.
Yes, Avatar is Reddit incarnate
you should consider going back.
Yes, it makes you 100x more pathetic and moronic.
And not a single argument was made. What a gay.
>Learn to type.
Season 3 sucked.
The finale was just one bit of bullshit after another. Totally ruined the entire experience.
i feel like i wasn't as pissed off at the ending as everyone else because i didn't like Aang. he's the protag and gets special protag privileges, which made him boring to me lol.
Why did Avatar flop while Ben 10 succeeded?
goat is a moronic slang term. peak is superior because you don't need to explain it and it isn't an acronym.
OK.
Avatar The Last Airbender is peak.
peak shit
>mogs atla and has a better and not cheap ending
Aang had a good run tbh
Holy shit, Cinemaphile really is filled with autistic Black folks if you think that puke pile was better.
Last Airbender is good lot issues fans ignore. I feel like if the right show runner came around and a network that lets a series stretch it's legs it could easily be topped.

Anime is better lol
Better at being shit.
