Meet the Parents is unironically the greatest comedy ever filmed. Specifically, the scene where Robert De Niro says to Ben Stiller's character: "I have nipples, Greg: Can you milk me?" is a scene that belongs in annals alongside the great achievements of Western theatre.
Stiller is funny even if Sandman is funnier. Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, and. Dodgeball are all classics.

It was just a bad script, good actors cant save that. Felt like a bad version of curb your enthusiasm, where everyone was purposefully irritating but there were no funny jokes to keep you invested. Just people getting mad at eachother without a punchline. I went in really wanting to like it because I have anger management issues and love Sandman movies.

I like both of them. Stiller gets an infinite pass for directing Tropic Thunder but Sandler is a bro to his friends (many of whom, Carvey, Spade, Norm and Farley RIP, are among my all-time favorite comedians).
Sandler is a better human being. He actually enjoys sports instead of exercise bulimia. He loves his wife and daughters and actively spends time with them and feeds them.
Stiller just starves his wife. His dramas are cringe. His movies and shows were always carried by funnier costars.

Sandlers pretty much had the longest run of non-stop kinos of any comedy actor that i can think of. back in the 90s i woulda guessed he'd be the one to be a flash in the pan after a few years, and Jim Carrey would be the unstoppable comedic actor of his generation, but instead it was the other way around, people stopped caring about Jim Carrey pretty much after The Cable Guy aside from a few things here and there i guess, Sandler proved to be better at dramatic stuff than Carrey (even though Truman Show was pretty good
