Doggett was a great character. really interesting development. Scully filling the Mulder role was a little rocky at times, but frankly it made complete sense at that point and would have been weird if she stayed the same after everything that happened. memory could be hazy here, but i really liked doggett beating the shit out of krycek. long time coming
scully taking mulder's role shows how she had really let mulder's tendencies grow on her in spite of herself plus it could also be her way of coping with him being missing. you may not like it, but this is what peak character development looks like.
i mean, at this point she can't really be that skeptical anymore either enough happened thats just not ambiguous anymore. i mean once she had that baby how skeptical could she be about the alien shit anyways?
Reyes played that character like one of those hot crystal magic girls that no one ever told to shut up. which is kind of funny but not really someone who should have had a serious job like that

been a while since i've seen it, i thought she was just getting powers from doing all that stuff and maybe satan or something was giving them to her. i did love that episode though. Satan horror needs to make a comeback that isn't about exorcisms and shit. actually hey maybe you guys know this, there was some 70s movie about a group of people in an RV and they end up in a town or vacation spot with a bunch of devil worshipers and one kills their dog or something.. lingering memory, saw it as a kid and thought it was compelling. some kind of late night horror movie
I liked the episode where Scully was stuck in the small town but other than that Season 8 was so miserable to sit through it made me quit the show. Without the cozy Scully/Mulder dynamic it's just not the same. Doggett is a nice guy and all but just not interesting.
i like lots of season 8.. i think. been a while, but doesn't it have the one of the invisible guy moving around on the wooden board? that shit was creepy as frick. then the man with three eyes buzzsaws his own head
Season 8 is very good. I like Doggett, especially in light of how uninspired season 7 mostly was. Season 9 is awful, though. Annabeth Gish is hot and a perfectly good actress but Reyes is a borderline irredeemable character.
they didn't need to make Reyes some psychic woman and it would have improved a lot. they also shouldn't have killed off the lone gunman because 9 could have brought them to the front. could have had a whole House situation with a team instead of being dead set on a duo dynamic
this didn't filter anyone, troon. YWNBSpecial
That's not the young pope
even back then I knew the people who preferred this duo were coping morons.
all filtered
What's up with Moldy?
No wait
Okay...
What if Scully was the Mulder nao?

I liked it too. I didn’t even mind after scully left.
I really liked Doggett. Mulder can sperg out too much sometimes
I'd take fifty Doggetts over ONE Reyes.

I think i blanked reyes out of my memory
wait a minute thats not my scully

I just want Scully to ride my hog
i think doggett dies in the true series conclusion (comic books) but i'm not sure. Lone Gunman survive so thats cool
If I remember correctly there’s just an explosion and it’s implied he’s in it? Near a train or something it was weird.
If you ever made it past season 1 then you're a fricking pleb.
Yeah Reyes sucked pretty hard but I thought Doggett did a great job of filling in the role of the skeptic that Scully previous played
best xfiles opening ever made
Reminder this show never named the israelite.
There were more metaphors for israelites in that series than David Icke could ever come up with
Satan was a reoccurring villain though.
ehhh... devils/demons were, not really satan. Bruce campbell was a devil and then another devil bested him
What about that one teacher in the Satanic cult episode? She more or less implied she was Satan.

Isn't it pretty much universally liked?
Season 8 and 9? Frick no.
8 is really good for monster of the weeks though. season is a flat out horror show
Oh, nvm, I thought of a different season
