2. The only thing the police has is a testimony of a known drug smuggler who was promised he'd get reduced term if he ratted out his customers.
3. There isn't even any evidence that he knowingly did drugs. Voicemails and texts suggest that he was actually a victim of a gang who surreptitiously video'd him insufflating what he believed to be a prescription sleeping pill (sussy but not illegal) then blackmailed him for hundreds of thousands of dollars by threatening to release the video to media.
4. All drug tests the police did on him came back negative.
5. Police admin became frustrated by not being able to get enough incriminating evidence on him to go to trial. This is the point where someone within the police started illegally leaking sealed testimonies to the media.
6. Lee likely committed suicide because he realized he has to be publicly humiliated completely for someone high up in the police bureaucracy to get his satisfaction.
