>Every single movie is kino >chuds hate them all despite having not watched them because they were told to
Aster>Eggers>Peele
Egger's best is The Lighthouse, Peele's best is Get Out and Aster's best is Beau Is Afraid
I remember watching lighthouse in theaters and realizing it was pure kino, tried to get some friends to go see it, only two wanted to go and they said it was garbage afterwards. Now that social media has told them its a good movie they all say they love it.
Anybody else have "friends" like this?
They sound insufferable. I watched it 3-4 times in theaters, best movie of 2019 which was a super strong year.
I don't have friends like that but it reminds me of the first time I watched Beau Is Afraid. At the end some guy was talking with his friends about it and they hated it and he loved it, he looked back at me smiling while watching the credits (was high on shrooms) and he was like "that dude loved it too" and we chatted for a bit before he left with his friends. He seemed like a cool guy
I try to share kino with people I think will appreciate it. I've learned that they are cattle and no longer share kino with them
Just my feminist art hoe hate-frick buddy now who i force to watch real kino
Peele's best is NOPE. I am also in a minority who thinks Us is too better than Get Out. Get Out is as plain as a Bri'sh toast sandwich and relies completely on THE MESSAGE™. Us is nonsensical but I dig the idea of an abstract schizo conspiracy thriller and it's much more well directed than Get Out. Nope is good all around, cool use of flashbacks, cool alien concept (maybe stolen from an SCP but he built on it), very good direction, also nice soundtrack, almost close to none race shit except for the throwaway line about muh no one knows the first actor was black (which is also unconfirmed because Mybridge made several horse shorts, plus we don't know the identity of the jokey in the short that was used, he just kinda looks to have a black phenotype from the silhouette).
>Aster>Eggers>Peele
I'd swtich Aster and Eggers but I haven't seen Beau Is Afraid, so I could change my mind. Haven't seen The Lighthouse but it would be really hard to top The Witch in my mind. Everything from the premise and time period to the casting and atmosphere was brilliant.
>Everything from the premise and time period to the casting and atmosphere was brilliant.
The Lighthouse tops the Witch in all those categories but Beau Is Afraid is the best of all their movies tbh senpai
Nobody wants to see a movie who's original working title was "what having a israeli mother does to a homie"
The movie being engaging and uncomfortable does not make it good.

Watched it the week it came out senpai.
You just can't accept nobody wants to watch a three hour attempt to cope with the director's personal neurosis through the lens of schizophrenia.
The Lighthouse > The Northman > The VVitch > Beau Is Afraid > Midsommar > Get Out >>>>> Hereditary > Nope >Us
FTFY
any movie with an unironic ouija board is fricking stupid
I may disagree with the second half but you are correct in putting eggers>other 2. They aren't even in the same league, eggers is so far above ari and black man it isnt even close
To not seem racist
Go to google and look up top 10 (genre) movies of all time
If the article was written in the last few years there will without exception be some black director's film in the 2nd or 3rd slot

He was trying to bang you bro
Don't blame him, I'm a dashing dude
I haven't seen beau is afraid. How woke is it?
>tried to get some friends to go see it
your mistake
opinion of others has no business in your relationship to art.

Get Out is much better because it calls out weirdo white leftists for wanting to peel the skin off of blacks and wear them like a flesh suit

>not "there's something about the Johnsons"
Embarrassing dude.
I liked that a lot too but Beau Is Afraid is influenced by some of my favorites from Bunel and Pasolini to Noe and Packard so that gets my vote
Peele should make a movie called Peel about a white suburban family that peels the skin off of black people for some reason
Left only.

Low IQ
Eggers: art cinema palatable for modern audiences
Peele: unhinged Black hallucinations, a mockery of cinema
Aster: dishonest israelite filmmaker
us is actually terrible, the explanation of the clones is totally moronic, would have been better if it was a mystery
is jordan peele actually included here? he's terrible

not everyone on this board is a chud. There are other people here too
>There are other people here too
troons and future troons
and ghosts of troons past
I haven't seen Nope or Beau is Afraid, but everything else in this image is middling dogshit.
>the holy trinity
>Father, Disgusting piece of shit, and Holy Ghost
I don't like your religion
of anti-cinema
Peele was a one-hit wonder with Get Out. Us and Nope were mid.
no way Us is better than get out its most likely Us>GetOut>>>>Nope
