The "Inside Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network Studios, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe" panel at Annecy is planned to begin soon. A number of new shows or content of previously announced upcoming shows are planned to be revealed. Someone on social media might cover what is shown, and we may or may not get public releases of the trailers at the panel.

Why doesn't WB have its own cartoon channel? why do they keep dumping their shows on CN which clearly doesn't deserve any of those shows?
Because KidsWB wouldn’t attract kids to it
I miss kidswb
Cable is dying.
Imagine buying a speedboat just so you can climb aboard the tip of a capsized boat, right before it sinks.
>Why doesn't WB have its own cartoon channel
HBO max
Because they own cartoon network
Panel is ongoing
That new CN logo fills me with primal rage.
it's awful it hurts my eyes, whoever made that must have failed graphic design class

I want news on Tiny Toons
>Bugs, Daffy, and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang will be back in a Broadway-set “Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical,” the first-ever Looney Tunes Original animated movie musical, which is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and will debut on Hbo Max and Cartoon Network
https://variety.com/2022/film/global/hbo-max-cartoon-network-bye-bye-bunny-1235294862/
Meh
It sounds good
Best news so far
Looney Toons is so fricking boring.
>Looney Toons is so fricking boring.
Which is why that franchise is dying fast no matter what WB comes up for it.
Looney Tunes is brilliant, as well-animated short films that don't really have a plot but are just a series of visually creative gags. Take away the good animation, stretch the runtime to TV episode or movie length, and try to shove a plot in there, and unsurprisingly you have something that isn't the Looney Tunes at all anymore.
Is this the Pete Browngardt one or a new fresh LT cartoon that’s like the originals?
it's a new one. The Pete Browngardt cartoon is getting its own separate movie
What happened to the "no guns" rule?
Existed for half a year at most
Even LTC brought them back
They realized how dumb it was?
Awesome.
That rule isn't applied when the character getting shot is off-screen. Also Daffy is throwing newspapers.
Cool
>it's a new one. The Pete Browngardt cartoon is getting its own separate movie
Frick it Looney Tunes is dead I have no desire to watch a new Looney Tunes PERIOD, King Tweety and Space Jam 2 are bad enough shitty movies such as they are true disaster movies.
I gotta be honest, I am very, very burnt out on Daffy and Porky cartoons. Very much blaming those new Looney Tunes Cartoons for that, fricking oversaturated them.
It should be noted that the artists bring almost every major character back (except for Sylvester Jr. and the Goofy Gophers) and they are not responsible for how the shorts are ordered, so it's mostly WB's fault that season 4 was all Bugs, Daffy and Porky.
Neat
News on Superman, Batman and Tiny Toons?
Cancelled, unfortunately.
Sauce?
The Batmobile educational show comes out in fall
No word on the others seemingly, Batman and Superman are too far out and Tiny Toons will probably be in one of the upcoming cons
Bullshitter as usual
Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe is doing a stop-motion Wacky Races show
Wackychads win again
Is the most recent wacky show good?
It's kino, give it a watch
>an average day in in la.jpg
Nice
Dumb as frick.
Wtf? This sounds like it could actually be cool. The wacky racers are great.
we already have a wacky racers reboot series, there no need for a shitty stop-motion version of it.
So your complaint comes down to "there is already a show with these characters"?
nah the 2017 show was cheap Flash shit, give me claymation kino
STOP-MOTIONCHADS!
WACKYCHADS!
THIS IS /OUR/ TIME!
Will it have Penelope Pitstop?
Oh that’s really good
nice
>stop motion
Holy based. A reboot with potential for SOVL? In 2022? Impossible.
Will they get Aardman to work on it?
Shaggy is now black
I CANT FIND MY GLASSES N SHEEEEEEIT
What
We'll see on this one. Seems like it's trying too hard to be different and edgy for the sake of it. Race changes are fine, but just other info I've heard gives me the impression that this will be kind of a mess of a show.
>they made the harebrained good-for-nothing stoner a black guy
Kinda based, ngl
Bonjour guys, frenchgay living in Annecy here. Anyone else there?
Surely you go to the festival every year?
Usually yes, but most of the fun stuff is for students or professionals. Outsiders like me only have access to a few movies and public interviews. I got to see Promare, Last Man, Sword of the Stranger, the Stag King for their world premieres and that's cool.
Feels lame to hear even somebody who lives in Annecy (extremely jealous, must be beautiful) has limited access to what the festival has to offer. If they want to be an exclusive industry club though, that’s their choice.
I could actually buy a pass for 30€ for all the screenings, or 90€ for all the interviews, showcases and panels.
But unless you have a week off, you can't enjoy everything so it sucks.
At least Iget to enjoy the open-air screenings (I'll take my daughter to Encanto friday and Paw Patrol Saturday)
The MIFA (Marché International) is for pros only, and some spicy stuff happens there. It's mostly for students to make themselves known and try to grab someone's attention (a friend of mine started working for Marc du Pontavice, a well nown producer, and another was talking with Guillermo Del Toro)
Is this getting streamed or something?
nope. it already finished hours ago
Why do they have three studios that do the same thing?
CN Studios only does original stuff
WB Animation only does stuff based on pre-existing Warner IPs
Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe does a mix of those two but with people in Europe instead of the U.S.
they each have their niche
Any Ben 10 news?
No
what?
This is about the Gumball movie.
here's the full Variety article will all the info about the panel

>Bugs wants to retire.
Oh good, more deconstructionism. I can't wait to see the trans allegories these moronic israelite zoomer writers wring out of 90 minte Bugs Bunny movie. Hey, I but there's a subtext of colonialism!
Take your meds.
>Bugs wants to retire from his role
>another animated IP show with a meta plot
Eeh I will wait
>META HUMOR? IN A LOONEY TUNES CARTOON, NOOO
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x17d5ko
>thinking it will not be another CnD case
>"Adventure Time" audiences have aged up over time and so has "Fionna and Cake," which will be the first "Adventure Time" series made for a young adult audience
TV-14 rating let's frickin goooo
>no mention of Tiny Toons Looniversity or My Adventures with Superman
we lost bros
Damn, I hope the Gumball movie is worth the wait. It's taken long enough.
>- Currently working on the scripts for the last couple of episodes this season.
>- First voice recording will begin very soon.
>- Timm and Tucker have been casting the voices for the last couple of months.
>- Brubaker reached out to Timm for freelancing opportunities and was surprised when he suggested the gig of head writer on Caped Crusader. Although Brubaker still had to interview and Timm needed to jump through some hoops to land him the gig.
>- It will be a PG show (Family audience). Slightly more adult than what was done before and very much a new take on Batman in the late 40's/early 50's era.
>- The show will be getting animation samples from studios vying for the job soon and that side of it will be full steam ahead in a couple of months.
>- Timm, Tucker and ''some other writer'' came up with the pitch for the show 2/3 years ago and they loosely followed that idea with Brubaker, ultimately building a ''new thing'' with them.
>- It will remind you a lot of ''the other show'' (B:TAS) but will also shock you in the ways it is different.
>- Greg Rucka is the writer of episode 2, which will be the first Renee Montoya episode.
>- Ed Brubaker has written episode 4, which has ''Gotham Central'' moments focusing more on Gordon and the cops than Batman himself (although he stresses the show is not inspired by that run of comics).
>- Scripts are roughly 30-34 pages (I don't know if that is slightly longer than the average 20 minute cartoon).
is there any truth to the rumors that it'll be CG?
>JJ Abrams
no thanks
he's just the producer, you idiot.
>New Hanna-Barbera logo looks swagtastic
>New W-B Animation logo looks decent
>New cartoon network logo...
Something just looks really off about it.
The black and white in the Cartoon Network logo are inverted. It looks fricking wrong.
It's funny how cartoons are getting leaked left and right and we still don't know shit about Tiny Toons outside a few production images and that the production is troubled
First episode was still being worked on in January (6 months ago), if it takes a year to make a batch of episodes then there probably won't be a release until 2023.
>Tiny Toons Academy
That's a first
No, it's really so bad we have no idea what they name of the show is. Tiny Toons Looniversity was what was officially announced, in the leaked storyboard it's simply referred to as Tiny Toons, and now it might be called Tiny Toons Academy
The anon provided a leak of King Tweety as proof. Other "info" was Famicom
>and that the production is troubled
That was just classic f a m i c o m drivel based on his penchant for misinterpreting twitter posts.
Damn, no info about the Superman anime. Guess we gotta wait until DC Fandome.
Any interesting news?
Yeah
Thanks
