Vikings is terrible and represents everything wrong with shows today, wannabe cool soap opera garbage with le heckin epic moments that never hit and are more cringe than anything. Show which can fundamentally only appeal to underage teenagers who haven't seen true kino like Rome or I Claudius.
The Last Kingdom is a slower better written show that doesn't come across as if it was written by a 15 year old.

Last Kingdom is such a letdown if you read the books. It could have been so much better if they actually embraced the epic story of how England was forged rather than just trying to appeal to le epic viking LARP culture and shoehorning in Black folk and queers. It just feels very dumbed-down to me.
The Last kingdom is much better, and a lot closer to some sense of historical accuracy.
