>And currently, there are no reasons for fungi to evolve to be able to withstand higher temperatures. But what if that were to change? What if… for instance, the world were to get slightly warmer? Well, now there is reason to evolve.

John Hannah would have been a decent Oppenheimer lookswise
Was he israeli?
why would a parasitic fungus of insects skip every other higher-order animal (other mammals, reptiles, birds) and evolve straight to infecting humans, via contaminated wheat products, because the air is hotter?
why does there need to be a why?
Why did monkeys evolve to humans?
they didn’t, apes did
And fungus didnt
The air being hotter only allows the fungus to survive in humans, it isn't meant to explain why it skipped other animals.
Because it worked. You're dum
Wait. The fictional TV show has a fictional and unrealistic premise? Get outta here!
>Finally, a smart show for smart viewers, adapted from a smart game for even smarter gamers
>Until a logical inconsistency crops up and then I WILL CHOKE ON wiener TO DEFEND THIS PRODUCT TO MY DYING BREATH AAARGHHLAAARRGGHGHLGHLL IT'S JUST A SHOW NOMF GLOMPF MMM wiener JUST TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF MNMGGHNN
Shut up, chud. Turn brain off and enjoy.
Because they have to push their climate agenda bigot. It can't simply be related to GMOs or pollution of our soil.
It's funny how this scene made zoomers shit and piss themselves with awe
>if it works on a hivemind species it'll work on all species
cordyceps already infects non-hivemind insects
They’re still insects. They’re basically biological robots for all intents and purposes, they’re hatched with all their behaviors programmed in.
AAAH, THE MUSHROOM OF CAPUA
wienerINARSE
haven't thought of this show for a while. is it fair to say it's the best video game adaptation to date? I just read it's nominated for a frickton of awards.
Mortal Kombat (1995) is still better.
It might be, but most games aren't there to tell stories. TLoU is a miniseries at it's core with gameplay sections.
This lanky Scottish nerd hit on my gf when we were both 19-20 and he was 50 or something, kek.
I always assumed he was gay.
that was bullshit tho. Cordyceps would need far more to make a jump to humans. Probably millions of years of coevolving with our species to be able to do shit it does with ants
The Last of Us never delved much into sense of fungus, it's all about old bitter guy who lost his daughter thawing his heart when dealing with a girl he has to take care of, at first for a job, then because he wants to. It's a great story diluted by all the tumors that grew on it.
>In a west end town, in a dead end world!
>there are no reasons for fungi to evolve to be able to withstand higher temperatures
But humans can already get fungal infections (e.g. ringworm)
>NOOOOOOOO! SOMETHINGS OPPOSING MY ALT RIGHT PROPAGANDA AAAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS LITERALLY WHITE HOLOCAUST
recently watched S1 (yea I'm late), that paco or whatever his name was didn't do a very good job. not saying the girl did much better, but some of his lines fell flat as shit. the queer episode (3) wasn't bad, I fast forwarded through the gay sex, I can handle kissing but no more. overall, probably a 7/10
