Kevin is one of the best characters in any drama. Get through the Matt episode before you decide to drop it, i think thats 4 or 5. Also season 2 is by far the best, dont be afraid when it starts with a black family.

it doesnt get better, the show just stacks more mysteries on top of mysteries and doesnt give answers to any of them

later on in the show the main character literally becomes jesus because he keeps coming back from death. no i am not joking. its awful

I think episode 3 was when I dropped it too. It's that weird mix of having a mystery but just being so fricking boring.

the leftovers was written by damon lindelof. damon lindelof was one of the main writers on lost. the reaction to the ending of lost mindbroke lindelof so much that he deliberately wrote a mystery box show where the entire premise is that none of the mysteries will be explained

add some cheesy christian imagery, melodramtic forced music, and you get the shitovers. its a show for midwits

huh but as it turns out they do completely explain the major mystery of the show

Ah, that explains why Lost just gets worse with every fricking mystery they introduce and why this show's shit.

i dont even remember much of the mysteries in S1
and by the time you reached S2, you should've known already that most characters are just borderline crazy because of the sudden departure

              >i dont even remember much of the S1
You mean the season that they're supposed to hook you with? The reason why OP's asking if he should drop it?

Season 1 starts a bit slow but I thought it was kino until the end. The show gets BLACKED hard right from the beginning of season 2. They executed the show I enjoyed right in front of me then replaced it with cuck shit. It was obviously made right in that woke transitional period where in season 1 it was still acceptable to make a white show but by the time season 2 was being made they had to make it "DIVERSE".

at least they got rid of iron jaw and the niglet in s3, I liked John and Michael alright.

Dropped that shit hard in s2 so I wouldn't know. I found Kevin to be such a kino character in s1 and it made me sick seeing him beaten up and bloodied crying like a b***h about his girlfriends black baby with bull cum all over his disgraced face. His 10/10 white daughter was getting BLACKED too of course. I did see some of watchmen and it seemed like lindelofs sick cuck shit has only intensified. Should have ended leftovers with s1 and not shit all over it.

Is this one of those shows that people say you have to watch 3 to 6 episodes before it gets any good?

Guess what - it's a bad show. You just watch it long enough that it has now become familiar, and that's what draws you in.

A good show will get your curiosity with 1 episode and retain your attention by the 2nd. Especially modern shows that don't even have "pilot" episodes.

Rule of thumb for modern TV:
    - if the first episode is shit and gives you zero reason to watch another, end it, you won't like it
    - if the first episode leaves you feeling AT WORST with a "that's ok" then give it one more episode.
    - If that second second episode doesn't hook you in (just needs one character or storyline to enjoy) then end it right then and there. Otherwise you run the risk of conditioning yourself to a show you find mediocre and are only watching on the promise that it gets better.

Also, don't be afraid to come back. If it doesn't hook you, forget about it and revisit in a year or two. You might then find something you enjoy more about it and then you're in.

Nothing I hate more than people telling you to "keep watching, by the end of the first season it's not bad". Fricking chump a-holes who just gladly waste their time with shit.

You'll also learn not to trust them when they dish out the "OMG YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS" and when you watch it, it's complete trash. People like this do not belong on the planet.
