It's always something to blame, trolls and review bombing. Never anything about how it apparently fricking sucks and people didn't flock to the box office to see it.
Sometimes people don't like things, and they have that freedom. Where's this whole thing coming from where you talk shit to people and fan bases while attempting to silence others that don't like it. Saying you don't like something isn't "trolling" or review bombing. Maybe what was released was of low quality and they need to look at themselves for the reaction and low sales over it. Or maybe admit that people are getting beyond sick and tired of Marvel.
The problem is without showing the budget ($213-242m btw) they're largely meaningless without comparing them to other movies in which case anything that doesn't do a $1B+ is a flop
But yeah if this keeps going they'll just barely break even or maybe even lose money which is gonna be one step closer to the capeshit bubble bursting
For reference, if you look at the image here of Captain Marvel's Box office, it cost Disney $160 million, and made $153 million in USA cinemas on the opening weekend, This new movie cost $215 million and has only made $46 million in USA cinemas on opening weekend. They spent 30% more money for less than 1/3 of the sales.
By 16 days Captain Marvel had passed $400 million domestic box office. This new movie is sitting at $76 million after 16 days. It's making less than 25% what Captain Marvel did. It's a disaster.
One thing you have to remember is that the Cinemas take half the box office money for themselves. So if a movie makes $1 billion in Cinemas the movie company only gets half that. The Marvels has only made $188 million worldwide. On a budget of $215 million that means Disney need another $242 million in box office returns just to break even. They aren't even at the halfway mark of recouping their budget and the movie is into it's third week! This movie will lose Disney hundreds of millions of dollars.

The budget is actually $270 million.
Also tack on at least another $100 million for marketing(its probably more but lets be generous) and you're look at a nearly $400 million budget and they haven't even brought in half of that. One of the biggest box office bombs of recent memory.
i tried to go see this movie on opening night with my girlfriend, her girlfriend and their shared boyfriend and the alt-right had placed a giant inflatable Donald Trump head blocking the entrance and no matter how polite we asked they would not allow us to scoot past it
needless to say we did not see the movie, my shared girlfriend was livid and banished me to live in the shed for 3 months since im white
>the marvel trolls have picked a new target >the marvel trolls have picked the new marvel thing to troll
that's like saying a man counting picked 6 to say after 5
Anyone ever get tired of hearing about review bombing when shills do the opposite? Any big release will have tonnes of "first time" reviewers on sites like IMDB giving it perfect scores. Am I supposed to believe Marvel slop #34 is what encouraged someone to write their first review?
It's always something to blame, trolls and review bombing. Never anything about how it apparently fricking sucks and people didn't flock to the box office to see it.
those gosh darn racists are at it again
oh my science!
deploy the pre-written outrage tweet chains and articles!!
this is their tactic to take away the IMDB scores. just like how disney got the message boards shut down, they want reviews down too.
Interesting. Seems like Amazon won't take Disney money to bump up the score like in RT...
Are you chuds illiterate? The OP article is about Captain Marvel, which was a massive financial success.
This is what I mean, people should be allowed to not like things. If a company sees to much b***hing and negativity about their product then they need to look at themselves and what they're producing. Having sites force censorship to protect a product, even when it's generally accepted as being a pile of shit, is something that's going to hurt the entertainment industry more.

why are you replying to me saying this? i’m literally saying disney is trying to silence people from criticizing them. i don’t watch marvel.

Black person they currently made 95~ million dollars on it, while the budget was 250+ million.
These numbers are absolutely abysmal.

I can't believe russian trolls and right wing trump nazi supporters have literally blocked people from entering cinemas and watching the movie.

People do not care about it enough to review bomb.
Exactly, imagine getting paid to shit on a product your company has made.

>The Marvels Review Bombed
Remove "Review" from this sentence and yeah.
>>The Marvels Review Bombed
