Punchline i great, and they only reason why these shitposting threads keep happening is because you finally got what you wanted and are now acting contrarian about it

Punchline, she was kind of meant to be a replacement for Harley after they started pushing her towards being an anti-hero to make her more marketable. Whether or not she was a decent replacement… Is very debatable. Doesn’t help that Joker was in full swing towards his unfunny mass murderer persona by the point she was introduced. Still she’s kind of hot so that counts for something.

You would think that the fact that they even need to make a Harley replacement should show that Harley is not supposed to be the heckin wholesome relatable cat lady they’re forcing her to b

Nu-Harley and her variations are popular, but that left a niche open. You can have both. There being new Robins after the first graduated semi-permanently to Nightwing doesn't show Dick Grayson isn't ever 'supposed' to grow up.

      This.

Honestly, Punchline is underrated, her side issues were surprisingly well-written and a timely, interesting story, and I appreciate how someone is willing to write a woman as a crazy manipulative actual villain in the modern day, especially compared to the bullshit they've done with Harley. And her design makes me much, much harder.

Punchline is a big nothing of a character with a generic e-thot design but the fact that people jerk off to her mean she's at least more memorable than, for example, Mosaic.

The writer got arrested for posting child porn on Youtube.

I found out a few years back because I was talking to some people online about Green Lantern, and I was gushing about Mosaic, how it told this really great sci-fi story about a black man and how he fit into the galaxy, and so on and so forth. And people were like, "that sounds great I want to read it! Why doesn't DC keep that in print?" But then somebody explained why it's not kept in print, and that was the end of that.

People just don't want to read a comic written by a convicted pedophile

Is this not the epitome of character bloat? At any point did he consider he might have been getting wienerblocked because his ideas were shit and DC didn't want their characters attached to them?

Books like Batman and Spider-Man have bullshit parameters from their respective editors. And if they were so shit, they wouldn't still be using them.

Here's another thing Cinemaphile is hypocritical about

Why is her motif SO subdued? I already think modern Harley is too far removed from her original namesake aesthetic. But she at least has the two tone thing and playing card symbols most the time. This b***h literally just has light YouTube tutorial face paint and that's it. They wouldn't even let her into a costume party.

Punchline at least got some attention and most people know she’s supposed to be some sort of Harley ripoff. Now here’s a better one, can anyone here actually name a member of the Indigo Tribe or what all their powers are? How about any of the modern Doom Patrol characters like Beast Girl or Space Case? How about Swordmaster? Even though he got a boost in recognition due the controversy no one really knows him. There is so many random ass characters that got made and fell to the wayside, perhaps even moreso then the previous century.
