I think it makes sense and is deserved, outside of generally being a really popular series there was also the live action Netflix adaptation that came out recently which was well received.
I'd still reckon Snoopy is more identifiable. Po maybe if he was in his original outfit. There's no way my parents would know who Luffy is for example.
