That whole run was meant to undermine Frank's role as Punisher and ultimately remove Frank-Punisher from appearing in comics (presumably to be replaced by a less problematic version). His dead wife ends up condemning him and like I said, he gets Poochied (sent to another plane of existence) and even while there he rejects his previous identity as the Punisher. I think they will do the bare minimum with Frank to hold on to the copyright but he's for all intents and purposes dead as a Marvel character.
