>Meet Anna Ameyama. The newest member of the Marvel Entertainment LLC universe will make her debut Aug. 8 on Marvel Unlimited as the star of T.E.S.T. Kitchen. Along with all the requisite comic book action, each installment will include a recipe.

Infinity Comics titles break into the top 10 of most read issues on Marvel Unlimited, which has over 30,000 comics, on a daily basis.

Expand beyond capes, obviously trying to attract the webtoon and manga audience since those mediums have works where the mundane can be made popular, cooking is a quintessential genre in manga and webtoons.
Yes but people read Marvel because of superheroes, not cooking and slice of life.
Marvel back in the 60s made a lot of Slife-of-life and romance comics before they hit big with FF and Spider-man

Problem is not enough people are reading that, if everything was fine and dandy Marvel wouldn’t be signaling to other audiences.
Dungeon Meshi got some pretty good mileage out of cooking in a fantasy setting, maybe this can do the same with doing it in a Superheroic one.

I am genuinily interested. The art is web comic level, but the idea would make a nice, heartwarming slice of life if handled correctly. So I guess the will frick it up bigly.

while it is a good thing that Marvel is at least aiming for a new audience with this slice-of-life webtoon the Marvel infinity service is still complete shit and I do not think will attract the audience this comic would naturally gather if it was on somewhere like Jump +.

All of this is news to me.
Marvel actually has a lot of cookbooks but this is the first time I have seen it chopped up and delivered 1 recipe at a time.
At this point I would say Cebulski needs to be fired but now I see the opposite must be done. Marvel must shutter its whole comics division and lock him in the empty office. Let him claw his way through the doors to get out.
