>Iron Man (2008)
>Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
>Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
All the rest is either okay-ish, mediocre or straight up garbage. Agreed?
>Iron Man (2008)
>Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
>Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
All the rest is either okay-ish, mediocre or straight up garbage. Agreed?
>DANCE OFF ME AND YOU
>good
No
That was funny.
Iron Man 3 is far and away the best MCU movie.
Guardians 3 is better than Guardians 1
Infinity War is shit.
My list would be:
Iron Man 3
Iron Man
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3
Captain America The First Avenger
None of them are great, Iron Man 3 comes the closest. Best movie based on a Marvel film is Spider-Man 2. The entire Raimi trilogy is above any other capeshit.
>Iron Man 3
>best
>let alone good
>ruins Manadarin
No.
>Iron Man 3
Yes
>Best
Easily
>Let alone good
Very good
>Ruins Mandarin
A non character that nobody ever cared about. It creates a modern version, while also deconstructing it and commenting on the whole idea of the character.
Iron Man 3 is #3 on my --movies that can burn in hell for eternity they are so fricking bad-- list. #1 is TLJ and #2 is X3.
X3 is better than the first two. Awful movie, but it's the least ashamed of those 3 to be an X-Men movie.
TLJ is genuinely terribly written and the movie that ultimately killed any chance of being good that NuWars had. So many homosexuals complain about the wrong things, though. Its ideas are fine, but its execution is akin to a moron pissing and shitting their pants.
Iron Man 3 is very good and the best MCU movie.
>Iron Man 3 is very good and the best MCU movie.
I actually didn't mind this one when I saw it years ago, but the ending where Iron Man gets saved by his girlfriend is fricking horrendous. If you're going to bait and switch for a weaker villain then at least have the decency to not make him job to a fricking secretary. The best MCU is and will always be IM1, Winter Soldier is a close second
#1 IM isn’t an MCU movie #2 IM3 is cancer incarnate.
It had a post credits scene that alluded to Avengers in it. It was still MCU, just not Disney MCU
>IM3 is cancer incarnate
IM3 had the worst kind of villain.
>THE HERO WAS SORTA RUDE TO ME ONE TIME SO I WILL BECOME A VILLAIN
This shit is always moronic.
>le evil white giy in a suit
Holy yawn. And the final kick in the balls was when he just got knocked out by Gwenith Paltrow in the end then iron man blew up all his suits for no reason.
I gotta say, and this was a gripe back when I cared about the lore of these things or had any expectations there’d be any consistency, it pissed me off how anyone can just put on an IM suit and use it and how he has remote controlled suits (in that case, why would he EVER be in one ever again and not in some bunker somewhere with infinite suit drones) AND how he removed the reactor from his chest which was the only reason he could have the suit anyway and how that reactor could be so small because it was connected to his heart. I was so pissed as an autistic teenager that they literally threw everything I considered cool about IM right into the fricking garbage that I never watched marvel again. Completely ruined the whole universe. IM3 is like “hyper space ramming” stretched out into a feature film. Fricking trash.
IM 3 is in my top three most hated of all time because it was an insult to the fans of the genre. The entire premise was "comics are stupid and for kids I'm not really serious about any of this" Shand Black. If he felt that way e should have never taken the job in the first place. But he's a fricking hack so of course he took the job and the money. Staggeringly dishonest advertising as well. With a twist so bad they had to retcon it on the Thor 2 dvd. IM3 had what was probably the greatest movie trailer of all time. And all of it was a "ha ha! I was just pretending! because superhero comics are a fricking joke ha ha!"
That movie deserves to be in the bottom of a landfill.
X3 is Troma Toxic Avenger tier. Magneto noping out and leaving Mystique the minute she loses her powers I almost wanted to walk out. Then cucking and killing Cyclops off screen. Then having Wolverine do everything in the story Cyclops was supposed to do even though Logan and Gene have no history was moronic and made no sense. All because Huge Ackman was a bigger star. Then all of the cringe shit with Juggernaut and the rest of the nonsense at the end. X3 is beyond terrible. Just an irredeemably bad movie.
Funny you should mention Troma since Gunn had his start there.
There's an alternate reality where he's probably still making low budget Troma films using watermelons as exploding heads
>good ones
Spider Man (2002)
Hulk (2003)
Spider Man 2 (2004)
Iron Man (2008)
* quipping RDJ is what destroyed Marvel
>Spider Man (2002)
>Hulk (2003)
>Spider Man 2 (2004)
thats not MCU
>MCU
list the movies and series that are official "MCU"
we await this laughable offering (Power Man, Daredevil, January Jones, Black Shitdow, Black Panther, those shitty Ed Norton Hulk films)
>those shitty Ed Norton Hulk films
there is only one of those you goofball
The movies that were made by paramount/disney from 2008 onwards. This isn't some secret.
No. The MCU is technically any movie with the Marvel red band at the start. So this can include Blade.
>The movies that were made by paramount/disney
what about Axel Braun productions?
>thats not MCU
it is after deadpool vs wolverine
it's all part of MCU now
>destroyed
And created in the first place
The screwball dialogue is what makes Iron Man work. But it's another classic case of the studio seeing that and then making every character a shitty knock-off of that archetype.
If every character in Star Wars acted like Han Solo, that would've sucked too.
>The screwball dialogue is what makes Iron Man work
works when HE's the only one quipping.
By Avengers time, EVERY character was redditsnarking even the Norse God
>>Hulk (2003)
Man 2 (2004)
>thats not MCU
Those are Marvel characters
frick your franchise tribalism, consoomergoy
Well if we are talking ALL marvel movies ever made then I'd say Spider-Man 1 and 2 are waaaaaaaaay better than the rest. Leagues above them all.
This Is my list as well. I love Hulk 2003. It was serious in a good way.
guardians are pure cringe
I have no idea how the first Avengers movie was so successful. Besides Iron Man, the previous movies all had very middling receptions, and Avengers itself was kind of bland. Was it all RDJ and Hiddleston?
>Was it all RDJ and Hiddleston?
Basically.
Two words: Puny. God.
It was unironically Iron Man and Captain America's dynamic, which formed the emotional center (if you could even say it has one) of the MCU until it ended with Endgame. That's when the MCU died
Wrong. Winter Soldier is the only one that isn't shit.
/thread
It's easily the best MCU movie and it isn't even close.
It's just iron man if you want to talk about "good" movies. Doctor strange is at least interesting. Everything else is various levels of garbage.
Winter Soldier is also good and Thor 1 is underrated. Avengers 1 was good but it's legacy is hopelessly tainted on two fronts. How shit the overall series has become and Joss When being outed as an butthole.
i like all with the downey guy, his acting is enjoyable to watch., the characters also more interesting. like batman but not for kids. that scene where he accidentally fricking roasts some village of hajis is based and generation kill pilled
Nah only the second captain america and infinity war were any good, everything else was pure slop
you absolute homosexual you forgot captain america the first avenger and captain america winter soldier
I come from a time where being hype for superhero movies was organic and novelty, I’m talking before Disney bought marvel and me and my brother were hype for a live action Iron Man movie. So that said a few of these are my guilty pleasure.
>IM1
>Avengers 1
>Avengers 2
>Winter Soldier
>Civil War
>Dr. Strange
>Infinity War
My own personal headcannon. I don’t consider any of the other movies to even exist. That said IM1 is really the only genuine movie and the others are all slop. Of all the MCU ones Dr. Strange is probably the one that most resembles a real movie
>Avengers 2
Age of Ultron was not good.
It was ok. #1 it’s not pozzed in any way. #2 it’s the only movie where the Avengers are all teamed up and fighting a bad guy. None of these pieces of shit are good. Like I said they’re a guilty pleasure. It was cool when Captain America was boxing with Ultron on the back of a moving truck. Not even that cool just kind of cool. As I said IM1 is the only actual movie of any of these. And I guess I’ll say you kind of need to see Age of Ultron to know who half the characters are in the latter movies.
lmao
yes it was
AoU was the first Marvel movie where I found the CGI jarringly bad. Terrible waste of both James Spader and the Ultron character as well, alongside some exceptionally strange character development (Hulk and Black Widow bonding over being infertile???).
Also, definitive "actually good" list:
>Iron Man
>Winter Soldier
>Ant-Man
Iron Man is an actual good movie that stands entirely on its own without the MCU. Winter Soldier and Ant-Man are just a comic-book flavored spy thriller and heist/comedy respectively, but are both genuinely well done. Without Rudd, Ant-Man would not be anywhere on this list, but the guy can carry a comedy. I was tempted to make another tier that just had "Iron Man" in it but I don't need to jack the movie off that much.
Runners up ("Good" compared to other MCU movies):
>Thor
>Captain America
>The Incredible Hulk
Thor 1 makes an effort at genuinely doing a Thor origin story and hits most of its beats. Captain America didn't hit its stride until the sequel but 1 is still solid, carried entirely on the back of Chris Evans somehow being one of the best incarnations of the character in any medium. The Incredible Hulk is kind of cheating, but Ed Norton and Tim Roth both kill it.
Essentially, the criteria to be on either of these things is "be a basically competent film" and "don't spend fully half of your screentime setting up sequels".
>Dr. Strange finds out about magic through some random basketball spic
>The Ancient One is a bald white woman in her late 40s
>The movie barely even tries to justify Baron Mordo's autism, and his subsequent heel turn feels unearned because of that
>that over the top cartoony cgi car crash
>bland antagonist
>bland love interest
Dr Strange sucked ass, it's only saving grace was the scene with Dormammu
It was the same exact script as Iron Man and then they reused it again in Ant Man. The Dr. Strange character has so much potential but his movies are just mid. He was great in Infinity War though. Pretty much all MCU characters are their best versions when directed by the Russo Brothers. Spider Man, Thor, Black Panther in Civil War....all the best versions are by the Russo Bros except probably Hulk.
Which reminds me the Russo Bros need to come back. They've been nothing but hacks ever since they left and the MCU has been shit ever since they left.
>that cringe pandering segment where all the female characters attack simultaneously
They left right when all the MCU woke mandates started going full steam ahead, if they have any brains then they won't come back
yeah you are probably right. The MCU ship has sailed. Its just weird how since leaving everything the Russo Bros have done has been flop after flop. Gray Man flopped. Their spy show on Amazon flopped. I think its because all of their stuff still has that 'marvel' quip tone. They NEED to get away from that.
Exactly, CA2 was good because they kept the quips to a minimum. They stared adding in more quips when they made Civil War and the movie obviously suffers because of it
>does anyone have orange slices
Deadpoos 3 will be a hit. But then it will be right back into the toilet. That entire movie division has absolutely zero clue or ability to change course and improve anything. The only reason Deadpool will work is because Ryan Reynolds is an outsider doing his own thing and his character is literally nothing but memes anyway. But the rest of the MCU studio is hopeless.
most importantly
>wasted mads
i think we can all agree that thor 2 is the worst mcu flick
No you’re a moron. I hated Thor 2 but the Thor and Loki teamed up doing stuff was the best part of any of the Thor garbage combined. I think Thor 3 was so bad I never went to see another marvel movie in a theater again.
I almost fell asleep watching Thor 2, Thor 3 atleast had enough cringe to keep me awake
I don't get guardians of the galaxy except for the song choice final scene
They're all shit. Kys.
Black Panther is atleasy as good as Guardians, not incels here would admit it
Black Panther's biggest issue is that in the last 30 minutes it has to be an MCU movie and it throws away all of its interesting story/plot threads to just become terrible CG and uninteresting fights.
Hence "at least as good as Guardians'", which goes full moron at the end, too
>Black Panther's biggest issue is that in the last 30 minutes it has to be an MCU movie and it throws away all of its interesting story/plot threads to just become terrible CG and uninteresting fights.
This was the EXACT same problem with Black Widow. A kino premise just ruined because they HAD to go full marvel mode at the end.
No it’s not. It’s one of the bottom of the barrel worst ones along with the thors and eternals and ms marvel. Not even taking into account the anti-white/racism/hatred part of it
lol nope, everything through infinity war is kino ya dumb b***h
>Gunn
>Russos
>good
Only good post triple-A director marvel movie is the first Ant-Man
Winter Soldier clears Guardians easily
Inifnity War was pretty dull.
Ant-Man isn't everyone's thing, but the first one was very well done. I'd put that in its place.
Iron Man is ok but Winter Soldier was peak and everything went to shit right after
Guardians ruined everything.
As well as Feige running out of material to steal from the Ultimate Avengers cartoons.
Iron Man
Avengers 1
Winter Soldier was decent but not as good as the above
Others aren't worth mentioning
that's fair, the other iron man's are alright as well
Infinity War was really kino, kind of came out of nowhere after years of slop.
Iron man movies
Captain America Movies
GotG movies
Avengers movies
You can easily discard the rest of the MCU
Speaking of the MCU, was it ever explained how Hulk ended up on that alien planet? We missed out on a kino scene where the Avengers decide he's too dangerous so they trick him into climbing inside a rocket and blast him into space like in the comics
Watch the animated movie called Planet Hulk. It's an adaptation of the comic storyline that preceded World War Hulk, elements of which were used in the MCU
The truth is that there was a whole trilogy of movies they could've done with the Hulk that would've been really good, but Universal had the distribution rights or something and they didn't want to play ball with each other.
That whole Hulk run is the only Marvel slop I've enjoyed since Raimi's Spiderman trilogy
IIRC it happened at the end of Age of Ultron, he basically got stuck on that ship.
Raimi’s trilogy is retroactively MCU canon so Spider-Man 2 is the best MCU movie
I'm ready to let it go. But before that's, it's time for one last ride.
He wants to do it himself so I really doubt Feige will say no. But we'll see.
No.
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 3
GoTG trilogy is pretty decent too
There are no "good ones". It's all dogshit.
Depends on what you're looking for. If it's something Oscar worthy, then yes it will suck. If it's simple entertainment then there's enough material to scratch the itch for a while until it gets progressively weaker.
Listen I wanna like them because I have no problem at all with fun action blockbuster entertainment but they're all just too tainted with Kevin Feige's awful influence to truly be cool and exciting. To put it simply they're just too reddit.
Spider-man Homecoming
Spider-man Far From Home
Spider-man No Way Home
proof you did not see these three movies.
All them are parodies making fun of source material.
>more films in the higher 3 than in the lower 3
you fricking homosexuals, i swear to god
Why would you even bother watching all that post-endgame slop
Good MCU movies
>Iron Man (2008)
>Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
>Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
>Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Good MCU TV Shows
>Daredevil (2015-18)
Good Non-MCU Movies
>Spider-Man (2002)
>Spider-Man 2 (2004)
>X-Men: First Class (2011)
>X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
>Logan (2017)
I think winter soldier is legitimately a decent movie wether you enjoy capeshit or not. Its the stand out film of the marvel slop
