>high speed chase >bullet hell shootout >no shakeycam
frick action scenes used to be so good. this one is pretty silly but it's still better than almost anything getting made today.
I didn't like it when it came out because the whole point of the show was the ensemble crew using their skillsets to pull off a crazy as operation, Ethan Hunt just went superman and did every role himself. The second one was alright but I was into John Woo at the time. They make good superspy flicks but they were horrible Mission: Impossible flicks.
I never saw them as a kid. Decided to watch the first 3 last year.
1 is OK for 90s movie, but it's funny when they talk about the internet. You could get a away with a lot in the 90s.
2 is bad
3 is fine, but the one I remember the least.
OFFICIAL RANKINGS
1=4>6=5>7>3>>>>2
1 is almost perfect. 4 brought the franchise back from the grave. 6 is elevated by Henry Cavill and has better breathtaking moments than 5. 7 is still good, just obviously affected by Covid protocols. 3 is hard-carried by PSH. 2 is straight trash, John Woo hackery.
2 is dumb fun. The rest are shit
>The original is the only good one
tell me one instance where this isn't ture.
Teenage mutant ninja turtles.
1 sucked, Secret of the ooze was kino
touche
Bad opinion and I love SOTO
the first one was also good tho
Spider-man 2 >>> Spider-man 1 > Spider-man 3
Aliens
Pleb opinion
Blade Runner

MI:2 improved on the first immeasurably.
based
why does he shoot at it again one last time after the car explodes and it's rolling over in front of him? what is that last bullet supposed to do?
I hate his stupid haircut so much
delet.
Worst possible opinion of all, can only assume fake and gay bait post

Perfect example of how shitty John woo movies are. Action over everything else.
The first four are great movies. The rest are trash.

Rogue Nation, Fallout, and Dead Reckoning are fricking terrible. Cope and seethe troony
>Rogue Nation, Fallout, and Dead Reckoning are fricking terrible. Cope and seethe troony
Fallout is a contender with best in the entire series.
It's definitely not. Only a Sneederjeet obsessed with Henry Cavill would say this.
Perfection

>purposely clips stuff from the last 10 minutes of the movie
is china paying you to shill for woo films now?
I love MI4.
I liked them all tbqh.
that looks really fun
They were all a fun watch except for the first one, which was actually quite dark and chilling at times.
>which was actually quite dark and chilling at times
lol wut its a spy movie i played the n64 game
the original is great, two or three can be considered good
no real poster likes them all
Agreed, but MI2 is fun for the style and action.
*reloads fists*
Also it's the only one that embraces the noir spy and cold war conspiracy aesthetic.
The MI:1 plot literally filtered millions, so it was necessary to dumbed down with each iteration.
The first movie stands alone as a great spy thriller.
Sir Tom looks best with long hair.
I am no Tom cruise my friend
Not many people are.
>when im done with a long day of samegayging on Cinemaphile
>samegayging
If only.
you can tell that chink just loved this gimmick soooo much
This was the haircut I asked for in 7th grade

That and the recent one. goober.
yes by far
The original is kino. The others are flicks.
Movie underrated as hell
I tried watching the Amazon version and it just wasn't as good.
The other day I randomly remembered how when this movie came out, the music video for the MI theme song was getting played on MTV almost constantly.

It's time for bed, gramps.
TOAST
McQuarrie was a mistake
the torture scene in 3 always makes me laugh, they are trying so hard to make it serious but it's so fricking bad, in a funny way
How is it bad?
I miss the restraint that movies had
a guy on a rope would be a gripping action scene
They're all good. Even 2
I never saw them as a kid. Decided to watch the first 3 last year.

i was planning on watching this today and heres a thread about it.......
You’re not that special
i forgot ving rames was even in this. also mixed up a lot of the plots from MI1 and MI2 in my head. thanks for reading.
>The original is the only good one
The 1960s TV show?
Literally the only bad one is 3
The first one's elevator death scene gave me nightmares when it came out when I was a kid.
The most recent one was terrible like 1 long action sequence with zero thrills
>depalma
garbage
