It's incredible how the movie has overall better designs and aesthetic over the book. Hell, it's shocking how well Shrek 1 holds up in general, even Toy Story aged liked milk.
Of course, story wise TS1 is still fantastic. But MAN, the animation and character designs really don't hold up when you focus on things that aren't the toys.
