Loved this short. It has a funny twist. The build-up was so intense I kinda wished the whole thing was dramatic though.

Well let's talk about the short. I think it has amazing passing. It's really scary and the ending despite the comedic elements still hits hard. I love the animation style and the main character's accent. I love his nose. The dog looks really cool too. I honestly think Max could make a really good full-length horror movie if given the opportunity.

max has no interest in doing fully original things anymore. which is a shame because he's obviously learned a lot over the last 15 years or however long its been since funny game man show ended.

A full-length film is 90 minutes long. Also, Brain Dump was a show with a similar run time to WGJ4K's. I think it would be cool to see Max direct live-action sometime. I would also like to see him make comics again. He made this one comic about Apple Jack that was fricking crazy and amazing. It starts off slow and then goes fricking crazy. I would highly recommend it.

Animating on his level as a one-man band just isn't sustainable and for some reason, people don't want to pay for animation but they will pay for comics and video games. I think that will be the future of entertainment just based on human psychology and what we are willing to pay for.

He has flirted with the idea of making a video game. And I think that would be a great idea. Some narrative-based game with his quality of animation would hit so fricking hard it would be amazing and people would actually pay for it.

JohnnyUtah and Spazkid from newgrounds have been working on a game with tom fulp for nearly a decade now and there's still no real public word on when we can expect to see anything. Putting in that level of quality to a long term project is far more work than anybody ever realizes until they've already been working on it for twice as long as they expected to.

I understand your point. But what they are working on is more complex than let's say a Graphic novel which is what Max has flirted about making. Or maybe a horror game. What those guys are making is REALLY ambitious.

It was made during a time when normies were first starting to get in on the whole degenerate furry joke. Although I'm more inclined to believe that max just really liked the setting there, and didn't know how to actually end it, so he just ended it in a silly way that anybody on the internet could get a chuckle at.

Am I crazy for thinking WGJ4K was a pile of shit? Everyone always praises it as his best work or whatever but its barely above the quality of what its making fun of.

To me it's less about what it actually was and more about what it could have been. He made it as his last attempt at an original series, and then immediately went in to pony cartoons and other parodies. I understand his reasoning, and that definitely gained him a ton more attention, but seeing what he can do now, I would like to see him going back towards something more original. Hell, Goofball the ghost originally came from fishworth. Maybe he could have tried to do some animations using the fishworth characters. They'd be good as a pitch if he were to ever try to get picked up by a network again.

Wasnt his last attempt that Fish kids cartoon he tried pushing to networks?
