Judge had to use white trash as the example of low IQ reproduction otherwise that segment could not be made but the actual future of the country was presented as extremely brown and hip hop influenced

I teach in an urban school and you have no idea how fricked we are. the next gen in school right now aren't very bright and are barely literate.

you're going to have a brown underclass speckled with white trash. that aren't very intelligent or very educated. literally doomed to low wage forever. then you have a class of people who are intelligent and educated and ruling them. they'll be mostly white with some non whites.

things are more fricked then you can imagine

It came out during the Bush era when the president was understood to be both a white man and a moron. He would regularly say the dumbest shit imaginable and half the country found it endearing. In case you thought it was saying “Only poor people are stupid and only stupid people are poor”, Bush was born in New Haven Connecticut and went to Yale. He’s as blue blooded and silver-spoon-mouthed as they come and his legacy is he was a useful idiot for Cheney

You made the assertion that the movie was pro-eugenics when it’s clearly anti celebrating stupidity. I offered a counterpoint explaining the historical context of when it came out and you countered with an ad hominem argument which means you lost the debate.

Why is the opening scene literally about how "Smart Rich people" cant get kids and " stupid white trash" breed like rabbits.
There is a reason why people like Musk see it that way too.

          Anonymous

          Cause it is like that.
Historically, educated people used contraceptives during sex, whilst uneducated people didn't.
There's also the white collar vs blue collar work distinction. Having 10 children to work with you on the farm/workshop/etc is profitable. Having 10 kids on desk jobs isn't, cause they can't work there until they either get fully educated or pass whatever requirement.
Educated people also tend to be more aware of social whatevers, meaning they fall prey WAY easier to the "world is shit why would I have kids" brainrot.

I mean, you can extract meaning from any context if you dig hard enough. You could fairly argue that Sanic is an anti-industry game, cause it's animals fighting a machine empire with le obese evil man on top.
Or argue that Among Us is a story about a close to extinction ayylien species trying to keep hidden from a xenophobic industrious species (the astronauts).
Or argue that Tom Cruise's Oblivion is an antitheistic story, cause Sally clearly takes a "I AM YOUR GOD" role, while the overall objective of the resistance is to nuke it, killing it.
I could go on, but the point is that you can extract meaning from anything if you read into it hard enough.
It can be read as a eugenicist movie, in the same way it can be read as an exaltation of the regular Joe, cause the protagonist was, literally, the average man, and was the smartest man post idiocracy.

If public speaking is your metric of intelligence then sure i guess. Im not even a bush stan we disagree more than we agree on actual policy. But seeing someone trip over their words in a high pressure public speaking situation and then laughing that you must be smarter is moronic

                Anonymous

                >trip over their words in a high pressure public speaking situation
you're being dishonest by characterizing his stupidity as just misspeaking under pressure or whatever. not knowing the difference between medicare and medicaid is not just "tripping over his words," not knowing the difference between sunni and shia muslims while fighting a war in the middle east is not just a verbal mistake. the misspeaking got most of the attention because it's funnier but he was also routinely displaying confusion and ignorance on the very subjects he was supposed to be making decisions about. numerous people who worked with him have commented that he was terrible with facts, had a bad memory, no patience for detail and generally didn't even try to understand anything in depth. that's an actual idiot, not a smart guy that misspeaks sometimes. sure, maybe the public used his gaffes to make themselves feel better but that is not incompatible with him being actually too stupid for the position he held.

The opposite is actually true. Everyone that worked with him, even across the aisle has acknowledged hes highly intelligent. There was even a very famous article published called “George Bush is Smarter Than You” that went “viral” at the time. The author made his rounds on talk shows and they all just made jokes about him misspeaking

never, because they were never not obnoxious, disgusting, and disturbing. the sooner you realize you've been fed a false history about pretty much everything, the better. the notion that gay people used to just be normal people looking for acceptance is a crock of shit, they have literally always been degenerate freaks. the ones who pretend to be normal are just another part of the propaganda campaign.

pride parades pre-2011 were basically what you thought in your head when you think "pride parade" not really the Folsom Street Fair, but basically an open air gay bar with the small catch that Miller (who used to be who sponsored pride parades in the 90s-00s) gave out fricking free beer all day, without carding people, which fricking kicked ass, then occupy happened and its a corporate gayfest that redditors bring their children to like fricking morons and its all sponsored by bank of america and budlight doesnt give out any fricking beer, even that shitty "$10 rebate" they had for a case of beer has an app you need to download and a million fricking hoops just to get it
