Multiverse of Madness wasn't the best film, but it was leagues better than the rest of the MCU and it was pretty solid.
It's not even in the same category as Love and Thunder.

GotG3 will be the best of Phase 4 if Gunn can stick the landing, potentially making it the strongest MCU trilogy.

I guess you haven't seen love and Thunder yet. This goes way beyond those

I have seen T&L, it's been out here in Germany since Wednesday. It doesn't go beyond those at all. It is exactly as obnoxious as those two. I knew exaxctly what to expect and thus the blow was softened considerably. Though the constant scaffolding in dialogue for the sub-80 IQ audience is getting.
            >Thor will come to save us!
            >I am counting on it! HA HA HA!
            cut

nothing, they just told deeper stories and people just can't get it, like some fricks think the Eternals was mainly about the celestials

      the formula became too obvious

although i would say MoM wasn't bad at all and when it deviated from the sanitized formula it was pretty fun.

Its just a very simple It's had its time in the sun. People are moving away from the superhero fad onto other movies. The MCU formula has become overplayed, but the thing is, when they diverge from that formula things become catastrophic such as Eternals. So they should just continue to play into the formula with their remaining loyal fans and just wrap things up during the next Phase as viewership slowly dwindles.

I think Dr. Strange and especially Thor were tests to see if the MCU still has legs to stand on. There were excuses with Black Widow because it's hard to get invested in an already dead character and due to COVID and being released on Disney+ instead of in the cinema, there were excuses with Shang Chi and Eternals due to them being more D-List heroes and unknown to the mainstream and the excuse was things will pick up when the major well known heroes get their movies, Spider-Man was always gonna be the outlier due to the old villains cameos and the possibility of Tobey and Andrew, people went to see if they'd show up because they kept it a mystery.

Then came time for Dr. Strange, and to see if the excuse of "Well things will pick up when the more established well known heroes get their movies! We're just in a low point because they're making movies of literal who characters." had merit or not. The first week did great because they were piggybacking off NWH's cameo gimmick, until it turned out that it wasn't another Cameos: The Movie like NWH, and then interest massively dropped off after the first week, and now Thor. Thor's been there since Phase 1, and if his movie isn't doing well then the MCU is truly fricked.

And then of course, plumetting Disney+ ratings, especially when it turned out they don't have as much movie impact as initially promised.

Multiverse of Madness is pure Raimikino you dumb zoomer, you are giving the MCU way too much credit if you think they can top it easily
