The fourth season of Korra dropped the ball hard in general and with character writing in particular and this was the cherry on top. I don't think it was even especially worse than a lot of other stuff in the season but combined with being the note that the entire show ended on and the fact that it amounted to little more than a smug deflection of criticism it ended up greater than the sum of its parts. The reaction on here overall was basically "really, nagger?" and mockery as opposed to rage because what they did was so transparent. Even fucking tumblr had been ragging on the season hard but as soon as it ended the entire show became sacrosanct.
What could make a shitstorm like Korrasami in other shows? I think Cinemaphile is pretty tapped out on the gays(i.e. no one would care), but /a/ is ripe for a shitstorm if Madoka ends with a kiss
I was more focused on the rest of the show turning to shit. I think Adventure time was making the tonal shift at the time, as well, so I was just generally disappointed. Not funny.
I wouldn't call it a shitstorm but it was the cherry on top for everyone saying the entire season was shit and finally getting confirmation that the writers had no clue what they were doing.
There is a reason that if someone says they're an avatar fan, its almost certainly just ATLA
This is basically the moment that created nu-/co/. Before this the idea of complaining about lesbians here would have been absurd, but then we got flooded with contrarians once canon couples started to appear
Not so hilarious once you realized this was ground zero for last minute lesbians in cartoons, aka last minute character assassination.
Even more hilarious

I love when people who never watched the show cry muh character assassination.
>he gets his opinions from a YouTuber
holy shit lmao
watch the show
I saw it, this doesn't ruin the character. She was always quite a bitch, going on dates with the entire avatar team.
What shitstorm?
You had to be there. Although in retrospect it truly was Gundam Witch from Mercury tier

/a/ is already dominated by yurifags, especially madoka threads.
>shitstorm
I honestly don't remember that, the hatred of this series is quite forced.

nu-Cinemaphile was created from people like you
>literal last scene of the entire series
>"this is the moment i dropped the show"
The show was bad anyway. I don't know why it pissed people off, but to be honest, I've always seen more people praising it than complaining about it
