I skip straight through Rick scenes and most amber scenes and a ton of Debby scenes, putting worthless American drama bullshit into a cartoon is a bad idea, that's why I don't watch most of those shitty dramas either.
If older Viltrumites are stronger (on average) why the frick did Amazon make Thula fight Mark instead of Omni-Man? Why even age her up from the comics if they're going to make her weaker? She wasn't even an important character to begin with, it just seems weird.
Despite how woke Amazon has made Invincible, they're afraid to have actual strong (power wise) female characters, Mark overpowering Thula makes no sense at all. Luckily with Anissa they won't be able to neuter her, since she's as strong as Nolan in the comics.
They put Thula in that situation because they wanted to have a more visually distinctive Viltrumite in that episode and introduce her a bit earlier in the story so she'll be slightly less of literally who when she shows up again. They just didn't think through how swapping her into what was originally written to be a faceless jobber role for her first appearance would make her seem a lot weaker than she's supposed to be.
It was lame then as well.
