None of these cinematic universes or video game adaptations or capeshit or anything are any good. Unironically the kinds of "indie" movies nominated for best picture are the only kinds of movies occasionally worth watching these days. Video game movies are going to be no better than capeshit, it just seems that way right now because of the novelty. It's all just "WOOOAAAH COOL I KNOW THAT CHARACTER FROM SOMETHING ELSE BLAARRGHSG"
