She needs a HUGE push if she's going to become a thing, but OP suggesting she shows up first in two different movies that realistically not very many are going to watch it doesn't look to good for her. A redesign on top of a push could go along way. Spider-women are more unsuccessful the further away their designs are from spider-man. It's why spider-girl and gwen are the only ones that succeeded. Half masks and hair sticking out doesn't work.

MayDay is the definitive spider-girl bar none. Until silk can get an ongoing that hits 100 along with the acclaim she got, she is just there.

Even if they tried to do Miles, they would need to reconsile with him being compared directly to their own cartoon version, which at this point is defacto.
