>The studio also quietly hired Eric Pearson to polish the script for Fantastic Four, which will shoot this summer in London. Pearson is a company stalwart who worked on Thor: Ragnarok and Black Widow and has a reputation for taking projects over the finish line. The stakes for that movie are high, as the studio is still searching for characters and actors who can carry its universe forward after the exits of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.
Their dumbest move post-Endgame was to not make Benedict the next RDJ.

    >Marvel also hired Joanna Calo, the showrunner of acclaimed FX series The Bear, to work on the script for Thunderbolts, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The film will begin shooting in March in Atlanta. Her hiring adds a flair of prestige to the project, which stars Florence Pugh and — according to a source who has read previous drafts of the script — centers on villains and antiheroes going on a mission that was supposed to end with their deaths.

Yeah man, knock-off Suicide Squad will save Marvel

It's also weird 'cause that's not who they are in the comics. It wasn't a "Suicide Squad" knockoff.

Far as I know Thunderbolts was supposed to be villains pretending to be heroes but they weren't forced to, but eventually some of them actually start liking being a hero more and get redeemed, and the team is headed by Baron Zemo.

You have a trillion films where the good guy wins and all the recent ones are flopping one after another but the anti-hero suicide mission is played out? People like you are who get hired because you're so fricking moronic.

It's genuinely hilarious because you know they're going to be safe as shit with the format too, you're supposed to come out of the show liking all the characters and their wholesome development. Just watch.

Tried to find it again. Couldn't, but it was one of the rumor sites, so it is not possibly all that credible. Latest rumors are Strange won't even be in Avengers 5.

No such thing. Marvel fricked up by focusing on chimps and c**ts. Superheroes are best when they are about straight white men. Black Panther and Captain Marvel were massive mistakes.

There's no such thing as superhero fatigue, it's just the case that movies aren't a relevant artform anymore now that people prefer scrolling through social media or watching Youtube all day. The MCU's only real innovation during the early days when movies just started having to compete with Internet exclusive entertainment is that it was an episodic franchise of franchise that treated itself like a television series. Incidentally television is more relevant than film now because of the simple fact that there are more hours in a television program than a movie, and when people do sit down to watch something that isn't mindless crap on Youtube or Tiktok they prefer to watch something that they can get absorbed in and bingewatch/marathon.

Crassus also was slain, either by one of his own men to prevent his capture alive, or by the enemy because he was badly wounded. This was his end. And the Parthians, as some say, poured molten gold into his mouth in mockery; for though a man of vast wealth, he had set so great store by money as to pity those who could not support an enrolled legion from their own means, regarding them as poor men.

    >The Super Bowl trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine became the most watched trailer of all time, with 365 million views in 24 hours. Yes, Disney’s math includes the 123 million people who tuned in for the game, which included just 30 seconds of the trailer, but Super Bowl fudging or not, the clip’s reach was an encouraging number for a studio whose last movie, The Marvels, became the lowest-grossing in the MCU’s 33-film run, hitting just $206 million globally.

I knew those trailer hype stories were bullshit.

      >Yes, they did lie their ass off to claim the "THE MOST WATCHED TRAILER OF ALL TIME" by including 123 million people who totally specifically wanted to watch a small part of the trailer during the fricking Super Bowl... but does it really matter?
At that point might as well send a Disney employee to other large stadium events, play the 10 second teaser trailer on their phone and wave it around and count those legimate views, wouldn't be any less sad. They are definitely not going to improve or make their movies more appealing to people by lying to themselves about the numbers they are getting. I think, that a huge part of marketing these days became just pretending something is already popular in the hopes that people watch it because of fomo really backfired on them, because they are now often just buying into their own bullshit, where they create thinks practically for their themselves while the actual real people who need to show up to buy and watch things fall out of the equation without them realizing.

    >muh superhero fatigue!
I'm starting to hear normies parrot this talking point now. Where the frick do they hear this shit? It's incredible how quickly they internalize complete horse shit based on vibes without any evidence at all. Batman, Spider-Man and Guardians all performed solidly, and the reason is obvious: none of them was a complete Black personfest or a trojan horse for sexless, feminist talking points. Every cowardly liberal knows this. They know they don't want to go watch a dull two hours of propaganda about how we should all relinquish our humanity and sexuality and embrace everything being a big fat grey blob. They're just too chickenshit to say it.
