Rob Bottin would be proud
Onii...chan...
>fathomevents
these frickers are never close to me
Maybe you can ask a local theater to get in contact with them? I don't know how it works, seems that they do these things at a few different theater chains.
I would go and see this, but I already bought tickets for the one they're doing for The Fifth Element
Why not see both?
How was it? I've never been to a drive-in before, does it feel like you're watching on your own or with the crowd?
Saw it at the drive in during their horror marathon last year.
god damn i wish i could go
Well there's still time for you to get a terminal disease and then contact the make-a-wish people. I believe in you anon!
I would love nothing more than to see this in the theater but I can't afford the singles tax
>Only playing at my local regal
Eugh. I'll see if my local momNpop theater will play it
The thing showed at one of my local theaters last month. The benefit of living in a 90% white coastal town.
What thing?
The
Frick me, seats are already filling up..
There are 3 shitty seats left for mine. Guess I'm not going.
Only 3 shitty seats across 3 showings?
No other theaters around?
You know, there's still time to get a hold of a wheelchair...
Why would I go to the theaters when I can watch it from the comfort of my home without having to pay for overpriced theater food?
where's your 7.1 surround setup and 50' screen?
The first good movie that doesn't suck to come to theaters in years.
Thanks for the heads up anon, just got my ticket
Thanks I bought my ticket. I got to see it in theaters a few years ago as well
so what
i've seen it on 35mm before, this is for the birds
based. i never even saw this movie until about 2008, haven't seen it since.
plenty of seats at my local seattle showing
I've never seen it. What am I in for?
A movie you're unlikely to forget. Don't watch any videos about it or otherwise spoil anything for yourself.
You're welcome bros, I make the threads for you.
Oh? When and where? How'd it go?
Since then there have been a couple of 4k releases where they went back and scanned the film and put out some high quality video from what I hear. There was a release last year that was 4k with HDR and all that. I'm hoping this theater showing utilizes those new and improved versions (assuming that it's a digital showing and not film).
MacCready infects all/most of the crew when he uses the scapula to get their blood. He didn't sterilize it after getting each blood sample.
>only in digital format theaters
yeah sorry i can already stream this horseshit quality version without paying extra
The newest bluray release looks amazing
Yeah but a lot of these big commercial theaters are so fricked up and burned out. I have a 4k display at home and it's like 24ish inches. That's more PPI than the frickhuge screen at regal with the blown out speakers. Hot frickin take but 5.1 in my living room or at my desk is a lot better than 7.1 where instead of bass it sounds like a lady rubbing grocery bags together
Sounds like a theater problem. If the theater shows it with proper hardware then even a digital showing can provide a great experience. But it's true that it'll depend on where you see it. Fingers crossed my showing is good.
What makes you think they'll show a 1080p blu-ray instead of the 4k hdr version?
I went to go see Aliens when they re-released it into theaters for it's 30th anniversary. Had a blast seeing it again and it was cool to see the younger crowd get into the action.
Cool thanks for this Iām going to take my girlfriend
16 bucks for a weekday matinee ticket, how bout frickin no
>paying to watch a 1080p Blu-ray in dirty, public room
I already have the 4K HDR version, thanks.
>still no news about a 40th anniversary showing of The Secret of N.I.M.H or Blade Runner
see you guys there!
