at least it doesn't have gal gadot
She's still in the movie
What's the current one?
Ezra learns he changed the Burtonverse into the Schumacherverse
Sounds great
no it doesn't.
At least sounds more fun that the other two.
I’m trans btw
i know, that's the target audience for The Flash.
We will never see any of these characters from this failed universe again, so they just decided to go with a gag ending to be funny. They had no idea what to do.
He didn't even shave his goatee for that cameo.
Why would you rub salt in that wound when everyone knows the only thing that drew people in was in the trailers
That explains a lot of things.
Why does his tooth fall?
What the fick
Because it feel out when he was struck by lightning
He just fricking glued it back in there that was never going to hold
Not bad
I would have been worth it if Arnold returned as Mr Freeze.
>THE ICEMAN COMETH
No, just Clooney at the courthouse instead of Keaton or Affleck, it's the same DCEU only stuck with Clooney. There's no real jumping to other universes unlike the CW show
Some dude shows up to give him a Nespresso, then asks what's wrong with you, then grins.
So Barry loses a tooth, randomly. 200M budget, homosexuals and gentlemen. Imagine giving 200M to some random director with 3 movies to his name and expecting him to make the money back lol
>randomly
It's a callback. He lost that tooth when the younger Barry got his powers.
He didn't lose a tooth randomly, he lost it after they recreated the accident

They made the right call. I was expecting Keaton, but they got me with the twist.
Yeah, it also onveyed to me that Affleck is exiting from DCU
Well 2 had to get cut when they dropped Cavill like a bag of rocks.
1 probably had to get cut because executives wanted to leave the door open for this movie to be their spring board into a soft reboot centered around Ezra. Y’know, cause their was talk for years from WB that the Flash tested incredibly well and would be the greatest superhero movie of all time.
3 sucks, but it leaves them with options. Ezra can stay on as flash and create a new universe, or they move on to a new flash and a new dceu all together under the premise of “the multiverse”, or they just drop everything that came before and say “well it all didn’t matter anyway, Gunn’s is the real dceu now”.
1 was going to set up the new universe where Cavill's Superman doesn't exist, Keaton would make cameos in other films as sometimes Batman but mostly as Bruce (this is why they wanted him to cameo in Aquaman 2), but Batgirl would be the primary Bat-character in this universe (the only Batman films starring a Batman you would get, would be the ones from the Matt Reeves universe)
Ending 2 was after Zaslav came on board and fired a lot of the people in charge at WB, and two producers were thinking of dialing back the removal of the Snyderverse. Cavill's Superman would be in place, but Keaton would be Batman... with the twist that Batfleck still exists but is lost in the Multiverse and sending a distress signal to Barry. I assume this got scrapped after Black Adam and James Gunn taking over.
Ending 3 is James Gunn's idea.
That makes more sense
Source on that?
Aquaman 2 was going to have a Keaton cameo. Keaton wasn't sure why they asked him to film something for Aquaman 2 (I forget which interview at the moment). Then they changed their minds because Aquaman 2 might release before Flash, so they tried to get Ben Affleck to redo the cameo, and claim it takes place before The Flash. Then supposedly they changed their minds again and scrapped the cameo altogether. The intent with Keaton was he would be like MCU Nick Fury, a cameo character that would connect the upcoming DCEU films by showing up:

>But wait, there’s more. If a deal makes, Keaton wouldn’t just return for Flash but possibly for several other DC-oriented film projects. Sources tell THR that the role being envisioned for the veteran actor is akin to the role played by Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something of a mentor or guide or even string-puller. Batgirl is one the projects in development that could fall into that category.
You can see as far back as 2018 that there was a push to make the DCEU trinity Supergirl, Batgirl, and Wonder Woman
https://www.cbr.com/dc-new-trinity-wonder-woman-supergirl-batgirl/
Remember that Justice League was just less than a year before this article. WB was clearly wanting to pivot away from Snyderverse and going in what they thought would be a more progressive direction, despite how badly that would've gone.
And you could see people well in 2022 believing that this was the case:

The story had been leaked years ago that in the altered timeline, Cavill's Superman wouldn't exist and that would be permanent in the original version.
We know Keaton was going to make a cameo in the shelved Batgirl film.
>We know Keaton was going to make a cameo in the shelved Batgirl film.
Oh nice, they shelved that idea?
No, he really was in that movie.
He took this pic around the time filming was underway:

And some places showed a photo or two:
https://movieweb.com/batgirl-photo-michael-keaton-barbara/
I know there was also a leaked photo shared after the film was cancelled, but I don't know where it is now.
It's all filmed, but we won't see it unless someone leaks it.
https://thedirect.com/article/batgirl-michael-keaton-cancelled-movie
>"I asked how Keaton is in it at least, and I was told he was good. He's playing Bruce Wayne/Batman age-appropriate, he's got white hair when he's Bruce Wayne. And the kicker here is that his Batman is ‘retired.’ But he obviously pops in to help and advise Barbara Gordon (Leslie Grace). But he's not really that much in it, but he has a presence when he's in it, and it's sort of a pivotal cameo when he pops in and out.”
Keaton in Batgirl was more than a cameo, he was Barbara's mentor and trainer.
See
He's mentor and trainer but he makes short appearances in the film
The Batgirl movie is likely the reason the second ending for Flash kept Keaton in it
Apparently Aquaman is having reshoots again
More ass shots of Mera plz.
I wouldn't be surprised if editorial cut Mera entirely from the movie.
>two producers were thinking of dialing back the removal of the Snyderverse
And who were they?
Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy.
Based Gunn
>their was talk for years from WB that the Flash tested incredibly well and would be the greatest superhero movie of all time.
Were these the same execs that gave BvS a standing ovation? Either they're really out of touch, or they are a couple of yes men. Or both
>3 sucks, but it leaves them with options. The only way I'd want to see ezra again is if he's gone all native in the Schumacherverse and wears a nipple/codpiece/butt exaggerated costume with neon high lights. Contrast that with a more standard Barry who's more conservative and at the end he happily goes back to his new universe since he finally found a place he feels right.
>>2) Calle’s Supergirl, Cavill’s Superman, Gadot’s Wonder Woman & Keaton’s Batman at the courthouse
Make it affleck and drop the stupid time warp shit and this would've been an ok send off to this set of movies, whether you hate them or not.
I haven't seen the movie is Dean Cain in it
No Only characters from movies exists not TV
If I were a WB exec, I would have secretly released all three endings, and had the theaters show them at random. Don't even mention it in the marketing.
Sounds cool, like how the Clue movie has different endings.
Honestly that would actually have made a little more money back
>Original ending already filmed, maybe second ending was as well?
>People unsure which spoilers to trust
>have to go and see the film to see which ending it was
it's stupid enough to work
Clue did it before, and it worked great.
The problem with all of these DC films is there's no excitement, people know what to expect. Everything's already spoiled online, and there's no sense of discovery.
Being a movie about the multiverse, doing this even has a meta quality to it. Gaslight people into thinking the Mandala effect is real. This wouldn't even add much to the cost of distribution, because most theater use digital files now.
The Flash is actually a dating sim
>They are still trying to blame Snyder 7 years later after he left
It's just sad at this point.
They really should have embraced the comic book idea of a "run" for the DCEU.
Let Zack finish his MOS BVS Justice League trilogy. Then have another creative lead come in and do their own take.
As opposed to the countless starts and stops they had.
but it wasn't getting the money that marvel was, and WB/AT&T/HBO/Discovery are moronic.
Well it don't now so idk. I won't even see the one.
Imagine if they actually managed to get Christian Bale for that
Bale is busy preserving the skin on his nutsack.
Why make Keaton’s Batman single?
What do you mean?
They made him a shut in hobo
Old retired badass is a classic trope. I think they were taking cues from Batman Beyond
Why do they hate their fans so much? We should’ve gotten the Trinity together again for one last sendoff. This movie is more like a frick you.
Millenial commies hate goodness, wokeness is an evil, it is evil.
>inb4 contrarian troonie bots show up
This is more openly cynical than anything marvel ever did
>our movie is just a bunch of interchangeable shitty scenes with no meaning, we could have thrown them together any way we wanted to and it would have meant the same thing
I’m sure marvelshit is made the same way, but they’re smart enough to not announce it to the world
Marvel tends to keep to the safe side of things in their movies, but reserving their edgy stuff as projects on D+.
They weren't interchangeable, each ending was changed to set up other movies. Ending 1 was setting up the Fujikaya status quo with a Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman trinity and Batkeaton as a retired mentor.
Ending 2 was setting up the neo Snydeeverse with Cavil being back and Batfleck being left open for crossovers
Ending 3 is purposely setting up nothing because the DCU is starting now .
so they put clooney because keaton as the batman of the dcu was scrapped, but then why clooney when he isn't going to be the batman either?
because it makes it obvious that it's just a gag
Because he needed the money.
One of the big points of time travel is that altering shit causes ripples both back and forward in the timeline. Barry didn't fix things properly, he still altered shit, and this was a way to indicate that his current timeline has more changes than just usable footage to free his dad. That and it was a way to stuff in another cameo. Aquaman scene was basically just a way to say he's planning on staying in this timeline and that besides Clooney just being a swap for Affleck, the universe seems to be largely the same as the one Barry had left at the beginning of the movie.
> Aquaman scene was basically just a way to say he's planning on staying in this timeline and that besides Clooney just being a swap for Affleck, the universe seems to be largely the same as the one Barry had left at the beginning of the movie.
What's the point of it when you are going to reboot the whole thing anyway?
Sounds like they should've just done what
suggested
James Gunn thought it was funny.
I still do not fricking get why Reverse Flash wasnt on this.
Young Barry should've just snapped at current Barry for giving up and deciding to go back to a timeline where his mom is dead.
Young Barry had his mother erased. He should have just done evil right there and lost his mind, ending up being the one who kills her.
Fricking dark flash not only is a confirmed INFINITE JOBBER (since he could not stop Zod), he just dissapears and doesnt matter anymore in the story.
Its obvious, isnt it? Eobard Thrawne needed setup. Eobard came from thr future, and thwt needed establishing. Its one of those things that made sense in a comic book, a TV series, and early planning in a cinematic universe, but not in a story thats seen as "the whimper end of the DCEU"
Dark Flash worked fine as a villain. He was from the comics too, and showed the repercussions of playing with time. Eobard only worked if they could do a proper Flashpoint adaptation. And it was not going to happen
So is Ezra still in the new DCEU (or whatever it's called now) as the Flash?
If Momoa is still it, it means that Aquaman 2 will be in this new timeline, right?
Does this mean that the Justice League is still a thing?
It literally all depends on whether either of the movies does well. The Flash definitely isn't by now, and Aquaman 2 probably won't. The entire enterprise is completely in flux now. Had Flash done incredibly well, they obviously would keep him around (pending any trials not making that impossible, natch). Same for Momoa.
But WB/DC is even more turbulent now than it was even just a year or so ago when the whole Cavil debacle happened. For some reason, they decided to cash in a bunch of rep and trustworthiness on propping up the Flash as the next big super hero movie. Not just a big one, but one you could legitimately say was the best ever. I'm sure many people like it, but that praise looks to be completely insane now. And that disconnect between the push they gave it and what it actually was has PR consequences. If Gunn says something similar about Aquaman 2 or Blue Beetle or even something further out like the next Superman, it's that much harder for people to believe him. All those endorsements for the Flash are already jokes. All of these DC movies doing terribly, and reviewing terribly too, aren't making things better. WB is going to be frantic to figure out what to do. Ezra is almost certainly out now, there's not even anything on the docket he'd be attached to. Aquaman will probably do better, but that's not certain, and Momoa could still be out if it isn't another billion dollar box office stunner. Why keep trailing the leftovers if they're not even gonna make you a lot of money or look good with great critical reviews? Just another headache to keep track of.
Don't forget Gal's WW and Peacemaker.
>Don't forget Gal's WW
Easily the worst actor in the entire JL and they still keep her around.
>they still keep her around.
They aren’t. Gunn scrapped WW3
hahaha no
it's all gone, even Gunn will be gone before the next Batman movie comes out
