The trouble with pozzed shows is they don't appeal to anyone.

The trouble with pozzed shows is they don't appeal to anyone. Barry was supposed to be a white guy show wasn't it? So why then did we have all these big acting moments and 'important' storyline of the blonde girlfriend and others. It was almost there as some kind of mandatory quota, completely ruining the flow. Overall the series was bad. It was not written by good writers. There was no overall theme or meaning. It was all Hollywood. There was no point!

I stuck with it hoping it would improve but no.

Also aren't most inkjet printers like 50 bucks where each individual ink is also 50 bucks? Literally makes more sense to buy a new printer every time you need to change ink.

I felt in a similar position to you and not even a /misc/tard. The stuff about his gf felt boring and out of place. It felt weird and out of place to make Hank gay. Barry's plot line begins to just feel boring, by the third season the original shock that made the concept charming had long since faded, and they came up with no effect to counteract this, instead relying on what seemed trendy (I would assume). Basically, first 2 seasons were good, last 2 seasons sucked donkey balls.

Yes. What the writers needed to do was give us a reason for Barry living in the two worlds of acting and assassinating. They needed to tie those world together, to give the conceit a reason other than, its kind of funny or something.

They did the same fricking thing to Last Man On Earth. A really cool concept that turned into a pile of steaming cuckery and girlbossery. That show had so many wasted opportunities, jokes and scenarios.

It’s supposed to be a metaphor for actors like him being typecast as funny homosexuals and how he is trying to break out of that? Idk frick this filth. It reeks of “made by out of touch Hollywood sociopaths” I watched the first episode and was laughing at how the adorable blonde woman was instantly head over heels for this dude

she isn't really head over heels for him she just likes attention that he gives her and basically sees him as a doormat she can use

The feeling is, ok its a white guy show but the writers are going to patronisingly slip in the medicine of a strong woman storyline and a gay and a black, as if we white guys need to learn tolerance and the writers are going to teach it to us. Just a sickening dosage.

His blonde GF was who I meant by that.

Another thing was the weird histrionics going on as if their real life was acting class, the overreactions were jarring, it was like when my family gets together.

his blonde GF isn't a "strong woman" storyline. she's intentionally written as toxic, vapid, and emotionally manipulative. you're not supposed to be rooting for her.

It was a show about a guy quitting being a hitman to be an actor, not just about being a white guy. You need the girlfriend to give him some type of normal life to hope for. The appeal is the comedy/drama mix. They eventually got too into their asses. It should have just ended with him going to jail in season 3.

What season was the episode where Barry has to kill a dude, and both him and his daughter are Jujitsu masters who kick his ass the whole episode? I want to say Season 2.

What exactly are you reacting to dude?

If Hollywood made a movie that was supposed to appeal to a black audience and when you watched it the black dudes were constantly being interrupted to get a lecture from white women, wouldn't you find that strange.

White guys just aren't supposed to exist as a demographic anymore. Any media that's supposed to appeal to white males must be filled with people from other demographics who are there to remind the audience that their opinion matters and theirs doesn't.

The other thing with the woke writing is that a while ago there was subversive writing which challenged the status quo , society, government etc. That was a good time. Now what (tv women) writers are challenging is supposed white male dominance of everything. This is why you get the black guy with white girl, they love sticking it to us, its subversive, cool and edgy to them. To us its repellant.

So I think the woke writing started as good intentions to show tolerance, now its just showing its true colours, sticking it to white guys, for lulz. I saw this in a n eipsode of Chucky I forced myself to watch.

sally was an awesome character and her actor was amazing at depicting this deeply twisted, rattled, victim-becomes-abuser kind of character. bill hader LITERALLY got yoko ono'd, became an alcoholic, got on SSRI's, and lost his mind between season 2 and season 3 and on. he even admits this implicitly in podcasts and interviews. the show took a massive dive in quality after it went from "disturbed ex-military hitter who wants love, companions, and meaning" into "LE EVIL moron". yes i'm debasing it to that strawman level. it was literally that low of a bar by the end. frick you. this show was gas and then it became shit. i stand by that 100%. had nothing to do with race or female characters or whatever else. bill hader just lost the fricking plot and his life is falling apart and it showed in his work. it will forever be a sorry testament to staying true to the art and the consequences of not doing so - just like the last 3 episodes of Mr. Inbetween were contrived dogshit after 3 fricking seasons of magical, heavy, soul-touching depictions of an exaggerated reality a fictional hitman faces. it's actually depressing how similar barry and mr. inbetween are in regards to having such an unbelievably artistic, thoughtful beginning into a lazy, confusing, rushed ending.

you must be moronic to think this is the case. she blatantly manipulates barry and uses him to further her acting career.

the only thing that makes her "moral" is that she's not a full blown assassin. but she's hardly a good person.

I'm talking about the moral opponent in terms of constructing a scene, you ignorant blowfish. A scene is constructed with two characters by opposing their sets of values, where one character is the moral right and the other the moral wrong. This is the basis of every drama. You disingenuous buffoon.
