I saw it in the theater. I loved it. I've watched it several time since. I love the setting, I love the music, I love how they speak with intelligence like white people should.
    Black people talk like this:
    ooga booga monkey want banana.

      What did we think?

I love it. It's a fall movie that I watch every year. I love the setting and vibe, I love the characters, and the directing is pretty damn good.

lol. The dialogue was particularly stiff and stupid and exactly how someone who knows nothing about the past would assume people spoke.

    Two things :

I hate tard characters and from what I remember Brody played a tard so you have to continuously bear with his tardouts and sniveling

Shymalan or whatever his name is again has to show up with his amateur acting to mug for the camera diminishing the impact of the reveal

Okay, butthole. This board has something called spoiler tags and the expectation is that you USE THEM. I'm sick of clueless newbies wandering into threads and ruining movies because they don't understand board culture.

This really freaks me out. It freaked me out the first time I saw it. This movie really freaks me the frick out. I think it's because it's in the woods and I grew up by the woods and I often grew paranoid something would peer at me from my windows on the ground floor or that something would come inside through the basement. I love the concept of the movie but this shit is creepy

I'm fine with that but I feel they reveal that fact sooner than they should have.

If the last shot of the movie was a monster or someone in one of the monster suits looking down at the dead guy in the hole, the Village would have been well received. Instead the movie just sucks because the fake monster guy dies and then there's like 30 more minutes of bullshit where she leaves the nature reserve. It's completely underwhelming and makes the whole movie experience feel like garbage

Hollywood feared an Indian gentleman taking over their racket. 95% of Mr. Night's work is kino, but Hollywood critics give him the bad reviews so he cannot gain power.

Could this work, bros? Why don’t we all come together, find a nice field somewhere guarded by a thick forest, and start a 1700’s village. Of course… we need to find girlfriends first so we can repopulate the village, but after that it’ll be easy. Anyone know how to make buildings? Hunt? Forage? Cook? Sew? My job will be kino critic. I will rate and discuss movies that I bring with me to the village along with a laptop.
