I think it would affect their ability to form platonic relationships with those of the same gender, especially at such a young age. Also, I do not feel comfortable leaving children in, for example, gym class changing rooms with other children with the knowledge that two men can kiss and get married.
I'm not saying that gym class going to end up in a kiddie orgy every week, but the possibility of them experimenting behind closed doors before an age that I'd consider ready is something I'd want to avoid. It's easy to minimize the risk for this particular scenario for boys and girls since they have different changing rooms, but when you have the knowledge that two men can do it too there is a fear that either these kids would be stupid and experiment somewhere they shouldn't, or that they'd be even more segregated and separated from their peers to minimize that fear.
At the very least, I think there is a difference between gays in kiddy spaces and gays in an adult-oriented movie, because at least in mature films you can tell kids that it's an adult thing to do.
kids should already know kissing is an adult thing to do, i dont see how knowing about gays will increase experimantation
