Mad Men easily. The first season is fine and the second season leans a little too hard on Draper being Confucius in a 3 piece, but after it’s so incredible. The last part of the last season I didn’t give a shit about anything except what Don was doing and it paid off fully, I love the ending
The Wire was great but felt like a chore to get through at times. Breaking Bad had a lot of cringe moments the more I look back on it. Besides how they split the final season I really enjoyed Mad Men so that's my pick.
Breaking bad> Sopranos> Madmen

I dont like breaking bad. I've always thought there was something lame about it. It reminds me of Sons of Anarchy in that it's basically a Soap Opera, and instead of 'we need to stop brown from getting the guns to black' you have characters talking to each other like anime villains.
I also like Cranston and am happy for his success, but I don't find him compelling in BB in the least. I don't find him scary, I don't find him intimidating, and the whole show is basically capeshit.
The Shield is a much, much better show. BB is sort of a capeshit soap opera that somehow got this bizarre mainstream push as the second coming of high fidelity entertainment.
Do you even know what capeshit is?
I have seen morons call lotr capeshit but this is a new level moronismo even for Cinemaphile
The Wire > Mad Men but it's reasonably close.
Breaking Bad is like a 4/10. Somewhat watchable but a slog at times and straight up moronic at others.
Its not
8 series of the same thing happening, with a plot of no more substance than a gta mission.
uhoh - he's about to be found out - phew! that was close.
leys cook hahaha cook we say cook because we're cool and in the know, we don't say make drugs we say cook, ohhh wow it's blue look how blue it is >you levelled up, unlocked slightly better equipment
You haven't even watched the show OR you watched it while browsing Cinemaphile on your phone
moron
no, there's a reason why it was so popular among the masses. people are generally stupid and eat anything they are given.
Yes everyone is stupid and moronic unlike the prestigious gays who cruise through these halls

didn't like it either. nearly as repetitive as dexter, whiney main characters, not one person on it is likeable, and it is worse than most superhero stuff and feels like a guy playing with dolls and talking through them to each other.
Yeah I always felt like Breaking Bad was Sons of Anarchy tier so it';s very funny when I see people shit on SOA but think BB is the greatest thing ever, like, homie it's the same thing just with a different coat of paint.
I could only stand dexter for 2 seasons, but at least it was fun and had a hook, so those 2 seasons were great.
SOA was fun for a season while you wonder if it's going to stick to what its pieces are or if it will come together as something greater than itself. Turns out it is what it is.
Modern audiences have so much access to high quality entertainment that they are both getting more cultured and exploited. In the 90s, there was a big push for 'will they, won't they' where two leads are suggestibly close to pairing off. It's a tease for the audience, but it keeps their attention.
The modern will they, won't they is if a show sticks to it's script or if it reaches an escape velocity to become something better than it's initial pieces. The Sopranos is a show that could have easily just been a fascinating black comedy, but some of the acting is phenomenal when it gets serious and touches real subjects. The Wire is absolutely Greek in its character structures, but also absolutely Baltimore in its authenticity--it's sort of god hooks on top of hooks on top of hooks.
I don't think I hate BB. I just think it's boring compared to what has come before. It's uninspired.
What I do hate is this modern media culture that crowns a new king even if it makes no sense.

>that it's basically a Soap Opera
Yeah I had the same feeling, somehow towards the end I liked the show more, maybe because there was less of that cringe marvel dialogue but it's been a while since I've watched it.
Show like The Wire and The Sopranos aren't perfect but at least they take themselves seriously.
Yeah I always felt like Breaking Bad was Sons of Anarchy tier so it';s very funny when I see people shit on SOA but think BB is the greatest thing ever, like, homie it's the same thing just with a different coat of paint.
Breaking Bad if we're being honest. Yea it's the reddit choice blah blah blah but it was the most consistent in terms of quality and didn't outstay its presence
God damn that's a hard choice. probably BB though. The Wire has some copaganda that hasn't aged well and Mad Men just isn't that accessible to a lot of people
The Wire is an absolute masterpiece of television drama: The writing, the acting, the sheer amount of characters to love and hate.
Anyone who says otherwise is not being honest with themselves
The shield. Yeah, frick your list. I'm rewatching Breaking Bad right now and it's not nearly as good as as shows like Sopranos, The Shield, Deadwood or Rome. I'm on season 5 and the first few episodes are better than all the other seasons, which isn't saying much. Skyler is the worst character I've ever seen in a tv show and I just want to skip every scene she's in.
Rome
Rome is not one of the choices.
Probably Rome.
Rome is not one of the choices.
Kids Next Door
I would have accepted Kids in the Hall but that's 90s
For me, It's HBO's Rome.
I, Sneedius
Black person,white,mexico what you said
Breaking Bad is not even in the same league as the other two.

2 of those are arguably more 2010s shows than 2000s and in any case, it's The Sopranos, followed closely by Mad Men
>Draper being Confucius in a 3 piece
kek, that's good
BB is honestly very good, you don't have to hate on it just because it's popular. whatever it is, it's certainly not "dogshit"
>2 of those are arguably more 2010s shows than 2000s
nah
Don doesn't wear 3pieces, it's Roger who does
Mad Men's ending sucks.
Why?
They're all great shows, and it's a really tough choice, but I think I'm going to have to go with Rome.
The Wire was great but felt like a chore to get through at times. Breaking Bad had a lot of cringe moments the more I look back on it. Besides how they split the final season I really enjoyed Mad Men so that's my pick.
God, remember real TV?
The Sopranos. None of the rest even come close. Breaking Bad is honestly a dogshit show and shouldn’t even be up for consideration.
sopranos is at least one or two tiers beneath everything else in OP. it's good, great even, but it just doesn't have that edge
Sopranos came out in 1999, it's a nineties show.

The Wire and it's not close.
Lost or Rome
Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
Lost
Insomniac with Dave Attell
God damn that's a hard choice. probably BB though. The Wire has some copaganda that hasn't aged well and Mad Men just isn't that accessible to a lot of people
>Mad Men just isn't that accessible to a lot of people
>implying this is a bad thing
Breaking Bad was the most entertaining in a low-brow kind of way. The Wire was the most important, but Mad Men is overall the better show.
Wire and Sopranos are the only shows I've ever liked enough to watch more than once.
all midwit slop for redditors
What?
Breaking Bad.
Only watched Season 1 of The Wire - but don't remember anything about it.
If Rome was one of the choices it would Madmen
Mad Men >>>>>>>>>> BB > Wire
Why?
The Wire is an absolute masterpiece of television drama: The writing, the acting, the sheer amount of characters to love and hate.
Anyone who says otherwise is not being honest with themselves
The Sopranos > The Wire > Mad Men = Breaking Bad > Deadwood
They’re all masterpieces.
Why does everyone keep bringing up the Sopranos? I watched a few episodes and it seemed unremarkable
That’s because you’re a mouth breathing r*dditor now go back and stay there
The Wire is overrated.
It's impossible for me to tell who's trolling here and who's sincere but just cataclysmically stupid
Of this three, Mad Men easily. None of these I would qualify for the best show of the 2000s though.
The shield. Yeah, frick your list. I'm rewatching Breaking Bad right now and it's not nearly as good as as shows like Sopranos, The Shield, Deadwood or Rome. You're pretty dumb, aren't you?
Never seen Mad Men but Breaking Bad doesn’t hold up as well in rewatches as The Wire. Better Call Saul makes it worth watching though
Mad Men was very clearly better than Breaking Bad (I haven't seen The Wire). BB is mindless slop, MM is for people who have an IQ above 100.
