Pixar were never anything amazing. Killing 2D animation for soulless C.G is a sin they will always have to bear. Prince of Egypt is the best work of western animation and mogs all pixar.
It was ogre in 2006. They coasted on for a few years with the good ideas and projects that were already in motion before it happened but that's the line, anything that started production after 2006 will suck because it's Disney wearing Pixar's skin, not Pixar.
For me it's:
Wall-E > Finding Nemo > Toy Story > Monsters Inc. > Ratatouille > Up > The Incredibles > The Good Dinosaur > Toy Story 3 > A Bug's Life > Finding Dory > Toy Story 2 > Brave > Monsters U > Cars
sequels should be illegal. instead of shit like toy story 4 and cars 3 we could've had 5 more original movies. I'll make a confession for something like lightyear, that may be in same IP but at least tries to do it's own different thing. but shit like "whatever name 6" has to fricking end. even if it's just making studios come up with bullshitty names instead of just tacking numbers on
if you cannot come up with even the slightest bit of creativity to cobble up a distinct title and not "movie number 23456", you shouldn't be doing that thing at all
>all these zoomers defending the newer Pixar movies
Pixar really had something special going until Cars. Very wholesome and very soulful. I'm not say they're all bad movies from then on, but it's just not the same feeling at all. Anyone under the age of 25 is never going to understand what I mean.
Eh, there's probably been a slow general decline, but Coco and Soul are among their better movies and Inside Out is probably my all time favorite of their. Even their worst movies aren't "bad", but the biggest problem is that they start with an interesting concept like what if dinosaurs never went extinct or what if fantasy creatures lived in a modern world and don't take it far enough. Also their more recent movies aren't bad, but they need to get away from the CalArts stuff that literally EVERYONE is doing nowadays even though the movies themselves aren't terrible.
Another things is that it's okay to have stories that touch upon mature or adult themes, but remember that it's still a kid's movie or maybe better yet start making stuff that's actually meant for adults. Like with Elemental make it clear that it's a cartoony movie meant more for adults and imply that the characters sleep together or something and have a real actual adult relationship.

Soul and Turning Red are actually good.
Yeah I liked Soul
Yep, Coco and Soul are both extremely good movies. Turning Red was lame however.
Cars doesn't belong in the Golden Age, I know its from that era but its not as good the others.
Elemental was good you pleb
Soul is good
Its funny how coco is way better than the trash that is cars. I can only give to cars that it had a lot of memes made out of it.
Coco, Soul, and Turning Red were good, though. Lightyear was decent
You lost all credibility when you said Lightyear was decent. I did like Soul and Turning Red though.
>growing pains are better than the golden age
Huh
The only two good Pixar films are The Incredibles and Wall-E. I don't really care that much about children's cartoons.
You have to concede that Finding Nemo was top quality even if you don't like it
Yes, I think OP's pic is mostly correct and all golden age Pixar movies are quality. Ratatouille is better though.
The Golden Age of Pixar ends after the opening montage of Up

I havent seen a Pixar movie since Finding Nemo
There's no decline. You just got old and bitter.
Brave is a BAD pixar movie, just terrible.
bugs life should be higher
Switch Soul with Onward and you got yourself a good tier list.
Soul is the best Pixar movie.

Wall-E > Finding Nemo > Toy Story > Monsters Inc. > Ratatouille > Up > The Incredibles > The Good Dinosaur > Toy Story 3 > A Bug's Life > Finding Dory > Toy Story 2 > Brave > Monsters U > Cars
Haven't seen the rest.
It's so good
>The Decline
>Toy Story 3
Black person (I agree with 4's position though)

monsters university was a better movie than monsters inc.

The only really good movies here are Toy Story 2, The Incredibles, Nemo, and Ratatouille.
