Black Magic M-66. 47 minute OVA, plot reminiscent of The Terminator. Extremely good, I highly recommend it.

Scarjoe being bad casting had nothing to do with her race. Most western kids watching anime automatically believe every character is white to begin with.
What went wrong was that The 1995 Major is a role which requires someone with absolute confidence, yet no arrogance. Scarjoe has submissive and self important streaks to her that people can smell from a mile off.

The Major's shell is literally Caucasian because Shirow has a massive fetish for white women.
I agree. I once got blind drunk, and went to the theater to watch it. I ate a bucket of popcorn, and got really backed up. The next afternoon, I shat copious amounts of bright red blood. It was like a cup or so.
Always thought about this since I first watched the film. I thought that the blonde dude was Lucifer making a pact with the MC to evolve humanity through magick / transhumanism.
>this world is getting so noisy and polluted, I need an off switch for my ears and a filter for my nose and mouth
The human doesn’t need to be fixed, the world needs to be fixed.
I liked the film but no way is it superior. They excised all of the philosophy and cerebral discussion from the plot. They did the same to ender's game.
They also made the Major refuse the Puppetmaster's offer to merge instead of accepting it like in Oshii's movie, completely butchering Motoko's acceptance of change and letting go of that fear of change. One of the best exchanges in the movie:
Motoko: You talk about redefining my identity. I want a guarantee that I can still be myself.
Puppet Master : There isn't one. Why would you wish to? All things change in a dynamic environment. Your effort to remain what you are is what limits you.
But Hollywood writers either thought that Western audience is too dumb for that kind of reflexion, or they were too dumb to appreciate it themselves.
>GITS >Akira >Bladerunner
What other big true Cyberpunk movies are there? It seems like there are so few but all of them are among the best movies ever made
It's worth watching although it's a little moronic at parts
It’s hot dogshit but it’s entertaining enough

This happens a lot with Serial Experiments Lain too, I think that's fine though people can get whatever they want out of a story
It isn't cyberpunk but it's 'nipland is getting scary again' kino. It's honestly great.
I accidently torrented it without nip subs and it was still clear what was going on.
Animation looks really nice here but it still lacks the cyberpunk atmosphere that's present in every frame of the movie, especially in the city backdrop out the window. Can't be easy to pull that off on a TV budget but Trigger did a pretty good job with edgerunners
>satanic
If you watch the film it's ultimately hopeful that the internet (and its vast store of real human memories) will defeat corporate monoculture.
Something resembling humans will inherit the future, not the machine.
I've started a small Oshii kick. I saw GITS 2 Innocence recently and have been thinking about it for two weeks. I guess it just really stuck with me. I recommend it!
I also went and saw Sky Crawlers. It was a little slow at points but over all I enjoyed it, despite it feeling like a hopeless movie. Very melancholic and existential. It looks like no one talks about it and has been forgotten by and large.
I hear that a 4k restoration is being worked on so I feel like there's a good chance of this movie making its way to the indie theater circuit, which is probably the ideal way to see it.
Jin-Roh is written by Oshii but directed by someone else.
Patlabor 2 is directed by Oshii but written by someone else.
Maybe that can help you make a decision.
Ha, this is a funny way of putting it. There are pros and cons to both approaches!
People used to say Avalon was good. I am suspicious about Japanese directed live action. Does it hold up?
Kazunori Ito wrote most of Oshii's stuff since Urusei Yatsura with the notable exception being Angel's Egg. GITS and GITS 2, a lot of the difference is Ito quits collaborating with Oshii between those two films.
If you want to see a good illustration of the opposite, what Ito does when he's not subordinate to Oshii, the TV version of Patlabor is pretty much that. Much lighter stuff.
Jin-Roh is directed by GITS' animation director, who thought GITS was way too high minded and abstract at the expense of characters not really being human.
Patlabor 2 is one of the best political thrillers ever made.
Jin-Roh is good, but it's not as spectacular and nuanced as Palabor 2. (Patlabor 1 is good too. Much brighter and more "fun" than the sequel.)
I watched Pat1 a while back and remember liking it but being unfamiliar with Oshii I wondered why there wasn't more of the spunky redhead with the robot armor and why most of the movie was two fat middle aged detectives investigating a suicide of a civil engineer.
Quite the opposite actually, but if you want to go that road. She is unsure if her soul and memories are actually hers. Considering in the movie they can digitalize someones soul and memories that is a valid concern and I guess you can make a connection between having a cyberbrain (which in GitS most people have) that makes you more efficient, but at the same time you are at danger of losing your soul to some glowie fed or incel Cinemaphile hacker.
But then again that is applicable to today as well and no one cares. All your understanding of love, friendship, family, community etc. Do they come from experience? Or do they come from all the adds, videos, tv shows, movies, stories and books that you have consumed as a kid, while still in development ?
Do yourself a favour and read Shirow’s original manga. It manages to simultaneously have a lighter tone and not be afraid of some humour while frequently going into much greater depth on the implications of a transhumanist society. The 1995 film is good, but it’s typical Mamoru Oshii: relentlessly bleak, morose and political with very little levity to break things up.
>Cinemaphile - never has good threads about live action tv or film >Cinemaphile - never has good threads about anime >Cinemaphile - has consistent high quality threads about anime
What causes this? Regardless of the original post being moronic this is a good thread
During elitist era Cinemaphile, now over a decade ago, Cinemaphile lost the art of taking a shitty troll or just dumb thread and running with it until it became a good thread. Instead what became culturally engrained was shouting the thread down and reporting it until it disappeared.
It’s kind of complicated. Masamune Shirow (not his real name) is one of the most reclusive manga artists in an industry of recluses operating under pen names. Also unlike a lot of other artists he stayed in his native Kobe throughout his career instead of relocating to Tokyo. His studio was destroyed in the Kobe earthquake of 1995, taking a massive amount of his original art and all his notes for future stories (like a conclusion for Appleseed) with it. He never seemed to recover from that and switched gears to producing pornographic art books with heavily computer-assisted art. There’s also some wild unsubstantiated rumours ranging from most of his family dying in the earthquake to he himself dying in the earthquake and all the later digital stuff being his old assistants keeping the brand alive. The one thing that is known for certain is that he was a fine arts painter who pretty much accidentally fell into making manga for a living, so despite being one of the all-time best it was never a primary calling for him.
That reminds me of Tsutomu Nihei's interview where he sounds depressed about editors asking him to make his characters sexy and more colorful. There was another interview where either him or another mangaka had his daughter criticize their working saying they wish they drew Attack on Titan instead or something. That and all the talks about how they don't get paid much thst must be a nightmare industry.
Man, whatever truly happened, losing Shirow Masamune was one of the most terrible things for manga and anime in its history. The guy had a unique drawing style and good sense of humor. He also described lore in such a detailed, almost autistic way. What a tragedy.
I absolutely agree. I’ve gotten into his work in a way I never did before in recent years. You can tell he was an outsider who didn’t come up through the normal channels because his art style, compositions, pacing and writing are completely and utterly different to anyone else at the time. On top of that he supposedly did this all in his spare time because he was holding down a job as a high school teacher for much of his early career.
>read Shirow's works >ocassionally tittilating content makes pp hard as diamonds >''I wish this guy drew more pron, he seems to be good at it'' >all of this happens
Most of us are old and aren’t obsessed with consuming whatever FOTM seasonal shit Japan is currently churning out as a surrogate for having a personality.
In theory the anons here are film forward, not anime forward. Anime is just another medium of visual storytelling/art. If your entire worldview on cinema is based on Jaapanese cartoons you aren't going to have much perspective.
Cinemaphile is full of weirdos who simply CONSOOM it because it's anime
They're obsessed with the medium and always go on about HAVING to watch the latest popular seasonal animes
Here on Cinemaphile we watch what's kino regardless of the medium >you watch anime? >no sir I watch Kino
If this dropped today, this board would flooded with threads saying she looks like a man with boobs. And they'd be right. It's not a bad thing, she looks about how I'd imagine a female soldier to look.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great movie in isolation, one of the absolute best animated films ever made. Unfortunately my appreciation for Shirow has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and I don’t like relentlessly depressed Major as much as chuuni alcoholic floof-haired gremlin Major.
Same. I really love her design and personality in the context of this film. It really wouldn't work well outside of it like in a 40 episode long anime. It would get old and tired as frick if she took herself so seriously all the time and was constantly spouting off philosophical mumbo jumbo.

No way.
I don't exaggerate when I say this movie is the absolute peak of sex appeal.
Motoko is a literal perfect woman and the audience (You) are about to worship her body for 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
I believe its main statement is: >if you throw enough complexity at something, then that thing becomes conscious and self aware
It's clean and matter of factly. Nothing ebil skydaddy about it. You're kind of a pleb.
If anything, it predicted how our current AI is possibly at a point of achieving a similar result. If anything, it could have functioned as a warning if we collectively we didn't want that to happen. But that's not how it went.
Miscast but still better than just about any chink. I give the director a modicum of props for that. I never saw her as one (Shirow drew caucasians most of the time)

I actually didn't mind the casting. Costume director should have given her grey contacts.
All the dialogue and pacing was just complete trash.
Fun blog post:
I went to the opening of this movie and met the director and a few of the American cast and people from Manga Entertainment aka Manga Corps? Fandom was mixed and many of the boomer/genX people really believed in transhumanism and the promise(warning) that the future internet(technology) would bring.
So jealous. I found out about the screening near me (original Manga Ent run) like 3 days after it finished. I've seen it in theaters a few times now, but it's not the same as seeing it on 35mm during that initial run.
>The next coming of the Aryan will not be in biological form.
I think Elon Musk actually phrased it best: "We might be a biological bootloader for AI"
Also, not everybody notices it, but Puppetmaster's and Motoko's bodies are variations of the same model. Same face, different hair color and skin tone.
Electronic Gaming Monthly would always promote anime and dragon ball figures in the back of the magazine in the 90's. The poster for gits was always prominent and it was alluring because of her hair style and naked form.
Oshii's Motoko was already dead inside and had no joy in her life, merging with a free AI and becoming basically a God of the Net sounds like a decent alternative.
The irony is that being emotionally dead inside is the one thing bad actors can actually sell, so yeah it would probably be fine considering Oshii's version of the character just sort of glazes over things with long stares and doesn't talk too much.
There is a soul and we can also be programmed. MK Ultra and North Korea make that evidently clear. The guy who created marketing was literally trying to hypnotise the world into doing their bidding.
It's not that, it's that moronic contrarians (and evangelical christcucks) are so frightened by anything they don't agree with, or understand (or try to understand) that they have to assign it as the product of some unknowable, malevolent cosmic entity as a pure coping mechanism so they can continue to shut their brain off.
>this movie/genre asks big questions about the meaning of life???? >what's this funny feeling in my head?! >eeeeek it must be Satan trying to corrupt me!!!

is cyberpunk dead? i liked conceptually what nihei tried to do with biomega and blame! but i feel like the entire thing died in the late 90s, i guess peaked with the matrix movie.
If you want to be one of the cool kids, you don't even need to worry about questions like that because you already agree with Gibson for calling out cyberpunk being dead thirty years ago.

I agree. I once got blind drunk, and went to the theater to watch it. I ate a bucket of popcorn, and got really backed up. The next afternoon, I shat copious amounts of bright red blood. It was like a cup or so.
I don't eat popcorn anymore.
>I'm going to rip off Neuromancer but make each half of Wintermute into a cute girl
omg such originality, truly anime is a cultural powerhouse
I met Gibson and he's a really nice fella
Fun fact: he wrote Neuromancer on a typewriter and had never touched a computer
That's sick. I also heard he'd never been to Japan.
Always thought about this since I first watched the film. I thought that the blonde dude was Lucifer making a pact with the MC to evolve humanity through magick / transhumanism.
yup, me too. creepy shit
I don't even remember this part of the movie
He probably means the android who gets taken over by the Puppet Master.
they literally depict lucifer in the part where they both get shot
absolute kino
So fricking cool
Better version and akshually has a plot.
You're a funny guy.
>this world is getting so noisy and polluted, I need an off switch for my ears and a filter for my nose and mouth
The human doesn’t need to be fixed, the world needs to be fixed.
>the world needs to be fixed.
We can try.
>Posting this washed out bland slop instead of the original
Ridley's Blade Runner? Haven't got any webms of that unfortunately.
They can both be good at the same time you dumb motherfricker
The world is as it is. It’s our attempts to shape it that bring us suffering. Go for a walk in a forest and tell me I’m wrong
I was talking about the current man-made world.
So was I
Top pic is better, it feels more claustrophobic.
Claustrophobic, uncomfortable and moronic. Why would she sleep on a slab of lights instead of a bed? She's not a robot.
>She's not a robot.
But she is.
She's incredible math
Just incredible math
Agree, superior in every way. Scarlett at the top of her game, made the character more attractive with her compassionate rendering.
But Hollywood writers either thought that Western audience is too dumb for that kind of reflexion, or they were too dumb to appreciate it themselves.
> they were too dumb to appreciate it themselves
This is the woke crowd, you know.
> philosophy and cerebral discussion
Valid point but that stuff flies over the gamers and caped crusaders....you know how easily they get lost.
>Pork in the Shell
Give me your dictionary definition of what you think "Satanic" even means.
>GITS
>Akira
>Bladerunner
What other big true Cyberpunk movies are there? It seems like there are so few but all of them are among the best movies ever made
Johnny Mnemonic
I'd never heard of this. Kino????
It's alright
>Keanu Reeves stars in a cyberpunk story as a character named Johnny about having an important data chip implanted in your head that will kill you if you don't address it in time
Weird to find out there's two of these
>MtF trannies who also misunderstand it
This happens a lot with Serial Experiments Lain too, I think that's fine though people can get whatever they want out of a story
It's worth watching although it's a little moronic at parts
It’s hot dogshit but it’s entertaining enough
I like it :3
It's kino.
It's terrible but it's kino. I reckon you'll enjoy it, even if it doesn't really have the depth of the other cyberpunk stuff you touched on.
You tell me
video game variant of the same concept, released a year or so earlier
full of jank but it had sovl
Thanks for posting this, i thought about this for the longest time but couldnt remember its name.
What about Black Rain? is it any good?
It isn't cyberpunk but it's 'nipland is getting scary again' kino. It's honestly great.
I accidently torrented it without nip subs and it was still clear what was going on.
Alita
Never watched SAC but it looks really ugly
Both series are pretty good, the animation can fluctuate between great to average.
Fantastic soundtrack by Yoko Kanno though.
Love the intro.
Animation looks really nice here but it still lacks the cyberpunk atmosphere that's present in every frame of the movie, especially in the city backdrop out the window. Can't be easy to pull that off on a TV budget but Trigger did a pretty good job with edgerunners
It's gutsman!
I remember her promo was filmed inside Syndicate Wars.
>satanic
If you watch the film it's ultimately hopeful that the internet (and its vast store of real human memories) will defeat corporate monoculture.
Something resembling humans will inherit the future, not the machine.
Going to ignore how fricking moronic op is.
What's next: Patlabor 2 or Jinroh?
Angels Egg
I hear that a 4k restoration is being worked on so I feel like there's a good chance of this movie making its way to the indie theater circuit, which is probably the ideal way to see it.
Ha, this is a funny way of putting it. There are pros and cons to both approaches!
People used to say Avalon was good. I am suspicious about Japanese directed live action. Does it hold up?
I prefer jinroh over patlabor but that's just me. Either way they are both real good.
Jin-Roh is written by Oshii but directed by someone else.
Patlabor 2 is directed by Oshii but written by someone else.
Maybe that can help you make a decision.
Thanks but I've already watched all Patlabor animated media up to WXIII.
Yeah, Noa gets even less screen time in Patlabor 2. Instead it focuses on Captain Gotoh, and Captain Nagumo to a lesser extent.
But it's really good 🙂
Watch the Patlabor OVAs and TV show, they have lots more Noa.
I finally bought the full BluRay boxset of all Patlabor media. It is making me very happy and very nostalgic.
It's total shit, no material was ever elevated more than that piece of shit was by the film
You have zero taste, it's a great manga which oozes with SOUL, kys
No it's shit and the sequel is even worse, you're a homosexual
sssh
you are a humongous trog homosexual
The grimdark version is unironically funnier.
Anime girls were never hotter than when they had 80s/90s hair.
Op you are schizophrenic.
Unironically
>Cinemaphile - never has good threads about live action tv or film
>Cinemaphile - never has good threads about anime
>Cinemaphile - has consistent high quality threads about anime
What causes this? Regardless of the original post being moronic this is a good thread
During elitist era Cinemaphile, now over a decade ago, Cinemaphile lost the art of taking a shitty troll or just dumb thread and running with it until it became a good thread. Instead what became culturally engrained was shouting the thread down and reporting it until it disappeared.
What's better is that the creator now spends his time drawing blacked porn.
seriously? yikes
no they’re just tanned okinawans and horse people
It’s kind of complicated. The one thing that is known for certain is that he was a fine arts painter who pretty much accidentally fell into making manga for a living, so despite being one of the all-time best it was never a primary calling for him.
frick
That is all very depressing. Mangaka seem a little tragic in general.
That reminds me of Tsutomu Nihei's interview where he sounds depressed about editors asking him to make his characters sexy and more colorful. There was another interview where either him or another mangaka had his daughter criticize their working saying they wish they drew Attack on Titan instead or something. That and all the talks about how they don't get paid much thst must be a nightmare industry.
>they wish they drew Attack on Titan instead or something
Grim.
I'm glad that wherever he is now, he at least left a big mark on both mediums, that people still draw fanart in his style to this day
>read Shirow's works
>ocassionally tittilating content makes pp hard as diamonds
>''I wish this guy drew more pron, he seems to be good at it''
>all of this happens
I'm so fricking sorry
He’s into beastiality
The manga artist not Oshii the director of the movie. Never get too deep into philosophy or you'll become an insane sex pervert
What's and okinawan
>What's and okinawan
Okinawa is a far south Japanese island that has a warm climate.
Why are Cinemaphile's anime-related threads usually better than Cinemaphile?
Most of us are old and aren’t obsessed with consuming whatever FOTM seasonal shit Japan is currently churning out as a surrogate for having a personality.
In theory the anons here are film forward, not anime forward. Anime is just another medium of visual storytelling/art. If your entire worldview on cinema is based on Jaapanese cartoons you aren't going to have much perspective.
Cinemaphile is full of weirdos who simply CONSOOM it because it's anime
They're obsessed with the medium and always go on about HAVING to watch the latest popular seasonal animes
Here on Cinemaphile we watch what's kino regardless of the medium
>you watch anime?
>no sir I watch Kino
I like that Motoko looks a little fugly in the movie.
Her slight "thickness" drives me crazy. I am slowly becoming a simp.
Anon, you are gay af
imagine calling someone gay, while actively jerk off to literal cartoons. homosexual
*ing
>t. seething gay homosexual
If this dropped today, this board would flooded with threads saying she looks like a man with boobs. And they'd be right. It's not a bad thing, she looks about how I'd imagine a female soldier to look.
Same. I really love her design and personality in the context of this film. It really wouldn't work well outside of it like in a 40 episode long anime. It would get old and tired as frick if she took herself so seriously all the time and was constantly spouting off philosophical mumbo jumbo.
My fav version of Motoko. In competition with SAC Motoko obviously.
%3D%3D
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great movie in isolation, one of the absolute best animated films ever made. Unfortunately my appreciation for Shirow has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and I don’t like relentlessly depressed Major as much as chuuni alcoholic floof-haired gremlin Major.
No way.
I don't exaggerate when I say this movie is the absolute peak of sex appeal.
Motoko is a literal perfect woman and the audience (You) are about to worship her body for 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
The making of a cyborg really made me appreciate the artistic value of the feminine form
I don't want sex. I want to worship the female body.
I believe its main statement is:
>if you throw enough complexity at something, then that thing becomes conscious and self aware
Sinister is the entire point of cyberpunk.
For
Miscast but still better than just about any chink. I give the director a modicum of props for that. I never saw her as one (Shirow drew caucasians most of the time)
The overall look of the film I didn't mind, but yeah ScarJo was not a good Motoko.
I actually didn't mind the casting. Costume director should have given her grey contacts.
All the dialogue and pacing was just complete trash.
Anyone who complains about demons or Satan is always an 80iq schizophrenic moron
I really like the OST for the English dub of the first Dominion Tank Police series. Never properly released AFAIK.
A shame cause it fits the show really well.
For the longest time i didnt know the ost was different than the original.
Maybe I have a thing for police anime/manga.
>Ghost in the Shell
>Dominion Tank Police
>Patlabor
more like this please
Gasaraki
Hell yeah! Thank you man
I love a good cheesy amv.
Did you meet the original dub voice for motoko, heard she turned into a recluse after the 90s, right before anime and anime conventions exploded.
Kino art. from where is it from?
the ps1 game
Not him but it's from the PS1 GITS game's artbook
Was he one of the first to start using computers to shade his drawings?
Thanks, I have the game, only played a couple of times on the emulator. They definitely knew what they were doing offering cheesecake pics.
>there is oddly something utterly sinister and satanic about this movie
you're joking right?
>Save your tears
>for the day
>when the pain is far behind
>on your feet
>come with me
>we are soldiers stand or die
>Save your fears
>take your place
>save them for the judgement day
>fast and free
>follow me
>time to make the sacrifice
>we rise or fall
It's prophetic.
The next coming of the Aryan will not be in biological form.
That is a genderless lifeform with no race.
You seem to think you present a contradiction.
One of my favourite anime scenes
Based Batou to the rescue.
The lawless zone in innocence is an architectural splendor.
Things are just going to get worse, aren’t they?
>SAAAAR IS SATANIC
Shut the frick up
Hnnnnggggghhh
Great animation.
The soldiers give me serious Ghibli vibes, which I hadn't really considered before.
Yeah kind of.
that file name killed me
Motoko is really lovable because she's so uninhibited.
She does nothing but get naked and fight.
And the fluffy hair. God I love that funny little gremlin bawd
KMFDM 🙂
CHOON LEE
One of the best anime fist fights ever.
Also, probably the best game adaption anime.
It's a fricking great fight scene, and frick Vega always and forever/
Kylie has two hits out right now! Check them out, frickers!!!!!!!!!
I don't mind a bit of Kylie.
ive jerked off to this webm probably 40 times since I was 12
I'm not a footgay, but it's a good scene.
if you know any other vids where people get their faces stomped in lmk
are there any episodes where you can see her robo-pussy?
Literally the first (or maybe the second) chapter of the manga, my plebian zoomer friend.
Electronic Gaming Monthly would always promote anime and dragon ball figures in the back of the magazine in the 90's. The poster for gits was always prominent and it was alluring because of her hair style and naked form.
Oh no not Saaaaataaaaan
Great, now I have the kino choir music going through my head.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHH-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
EEEEEHHH-EEEH-EEHH-EH-AH!
the surrender of her identity to an intrusive psychotic AI that desired to merge with her was really creepy
Oshii's Motoko was already dead inside and had no joy in her life, merging with a free AI and becoming basically a God of the Net sounds like a decent alternative.
pretty much, she wasn't living, the puppet master ironically enough cut her strings.
What if Motoko really is a robot, and her emulation of sexual reproduction in digitial form is actually becoming more like a human?
They'll never show Motoko's true nature.
>muh satanic!
Look at the dead israelite on the cross that you worship, mongrel if you want satanic.
You subhumans are fricking in the head.
it’s her eyes
A young Daddario could have pulled it off, Oshii's Major and her have the same crazy eyes.
And she's a crap actor so you could sell her as an arnie type stacie playing an emotionally distant robot. Not bad anon.
The irony is that being emotionally dead inside is the one thing bad actors can actually sell, so yeah it would probably be fine considering Oshii's version of the character just sort of glazes over things with long stares and doesn't talk too much.
Religion cucks are so scared that there is no soul and we can all be programmed
There is a soul and we can also be programmed. MK Ultra and North Korea make that evidently clear. The guy who created marketing was literally trying to hypnotise the world into doing their bidding.
I think even inanimate things have souls.
>hard atheist takes the polar opposite argument with as much arrogant presumptive conviction as a stereotypical evangelist
wowie kazowie
It's not that, it's that moronic contrarians (and evangelical christcucks) are so frightened by anything they don't agree with, or understand (or try to understand) that they have to assign it as the product of some unknowable, malevolent cosmic entity as a pure coping mechanism so they can continue to shut their brain off.
>this movie/genre asks big questions about the meaning of life????
>what's this funny feeling in my head?!
>eeeeek it must be Satan trying to corrupt me!!!
You sound like a stupid person trying to be smart. It’s a pretty boring read
">You disagree with me, you sound so stupid and boring and i dont cate LALALALALALA"
lol
I never said i agreed or disagreed with you i just said you’re boring. You’re exact thought has been posted a million times on this board alone. You’re such a spaz you cant even greentext correctly. That’s all
I'm sorry you're bored, I'll try to keep my thoughts limited to more exciting and fresh discussion subjects like "why I hate israelites and the nigra in tv" and "is this a humiliation ritual?"
Why do so many troons want to be Motoko?
Probably because full-body prosthetics like the Major would be a dream come true for them.
Because
Because they want the trans part of transhumanism.
Satan was the good guy. He gave us knowledge and freedom. God massacred the entire human race. (to say nothing of the animals)
is cyberpunk dead? i liked conceptually what nihei tried to do with biomega and blame! but i feel like the entire thing died in the late 90s, i guess peaked with the matrix movie.
All of it's central tenets are plainly accepted now.
If you want to be one of the cool kids, you don't even need to worry about questions like that because you already agree with Gibson for calling out cyberpunk being dead thirty years ago.
what is the next cool genre? it's kinda hard to find the underground on the internet these days because everything is so mainstream and in your face.
I don't know but it's nothing with punk in its name.
nothingpunk
Robot parts homie
before this thread dies, is avalon worth a watch?
It's okay. If you like Mamoru Oshii, give it a shot.
Not his best work.
thanks, I will put it aside until I've seen all his animated movies
imo a lot of japanese live action... action movies are just kind of cringe
If you can do camp, Zeiram is pretty fun.
heh, I toku stuff is usually fun at least.
That reminds me, the animated Zeiram is great.
Best anime thread in a while.
