When Wyms laid out the pictures of Shane and his family and left Vic in the interrogation room alone I thought he was going to let out the scream from the opening/closing. Thought the same thing again when he was in the office at the end.
it's even better because Vic only uses racism to establish dominance and troll others when it'd benefit him the most. He only makes funny remarks to Aceveda when he wants to take the latter down a peg.
Ironically by the end of the show Aceveda was the least hostile person to Vic at least relatively to everyone else, who either wanted to him jailed or dead.
the actor playing Shane in the Shield is the main reason I watched Fallout tv show.
He was also the only reason anyone watched Justified.
Yeah, they weren't friends by any means, but they grew to understand each other and had a working relationship. I remember Claudette seeing this start to develop and she knew it was trouble.
Wasn't she the acting Police Chief when Vic got flipped and Ronnie arrested? There's no way The Barn stays open after being exposed and Claudette's head would be first on the chopping block.
>>He was also the only reason anyone watched Justified.
PISS IN MY ASS AND FRICK MY DAUGHTER IF IT ISNT GOSH DARNED RAYLAND MOTEHRFRICKING TIT JUGGLING GIVENS
It’s kino but I really hate the someone-stands-in-the-center-of-the-barn-and-yells scenes. Same with Claudette saying “son”, makes the first season a little cringe.
I've read one interview in which one of the show's creators says that he wanted the last scene of the show to be a panning shot of Dutch's apartment, which was full of corpses or kidnapped women.
Thank god they decided against that.
I watched SoA just recently after The Shield and seeing Dutch become basically the serial killer psycho detective he was supposed to be in the Shield was pretty funny

I loved the Shield but the Wire is really trying my patience. anon, how is Sons of Anarchy? I saw it has Lem, does it also have Dutch? Is it a better time investment?

Sonys of Anarchy is pretty great, but it can get somewhat repetitive "gang problem of the week", like theres literally a template for it. If you know the Suits "throws a file on the table" meme its like that.
Very little modern politics since its an old show. Similar to how the Shield is full of blacks but theres no BLM/racism shit. Walton Goggins does play a troony hooker and there is an arc about being a transwoman but he is an amazing character. Actually literally everyone from the strike team is in SoA as different characterse, even Ronnie. Kind of funny I didnt notice until now.
The final season is a bit controversial, I think for the most part it is well written but it is very frustrating how it ended that way. The final episode is pretty iconic though and very nice send off.
>But as far as effort goes, I don't know what's between zero and the city mandate minimum, but from now on, let's call that "the Billings"
I work for the local council and needless to say the Billings is a great philosophy, they call it quiet quitting now but we all know the truth.
The women in my office really think they are doing god's work doing over time for no pay and taking paperwork home to finish, pointless paperwork that no one will ever see but still. They get nothing done but are so busy its quite odd.
I liked the first couple of seasons of Bosch, him vs the serial killer guy, I dropped it right after though, cant remember but if you want a pretty fun cop vs psycho arc its worth it
You see those expressions? Thats the full emotional range displayed through the entire series. Like watching bricks dry.
The story lines are the best part held back by stiff acting and tired cliche police stereotypes.
It’s kind of funny that as soon as he finally left the station and everyone saw him as the corrupt piece of shit he is, the general mood of the place lifted:
> Dutch makes peace with billings and will mostly date that lawyer chick. > acevada will go on to be mayor > Claudette seems content with the way things ended and accepts her body is failing her > all the uniforms seem happy with Tina as they celebrate her passing her probationary period. > Danny doesn’t have to worry about vic pursuing her child > corrine is seperated from vic so she’s safe with the kids.
>>> corrine is seperated from vic so she’s safe with the kids.
Now she gets to raise two autismos alone. i wonder if Mattie grew up to browse Cinemaphile
Do you think Claudette is ready to settle down with the guy, that she seduced, from the first season, so he would confess? The guy who was saving his semen, and Dutch spilled it all over his suit
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esther_Mbabazi >When Esther was about eight years, her father died in a plane crash when the aircraft he was travelling in overshot the runway while landing in neighboring Democratic Republic of the Congo.
My problem with shows like this is that they eventually lose this type of fun. A lot of the appeal of the show was a tight nit crew of broskis frickign around. The last few seasons were just a constant ratcheting of insane plot lines.
I watched the whole show based on Cinemaphile recommendation but it wasn't particularly good. It was okay with some pretty funny moments and cool characters but mostly just a cool time capsule of early to mid 2000s in a dramatized LA.
RIP Ronnie, i hope he got off with a good lawyer.
crime is a poor/ethnic people problem
dunno what watching some shit TV show with a bunch of white meatheads storming in as if I'm supposed to be personally invested in the ultimate outcome is meant to do..
>JUST ANOTHER DAAAAAAYYYYYYY
>steel drums and electronic piano plays
>DDDAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY
>coldplay plays as Vic and co brutalise suspects
>somehow it fits
Whenever I have to hear Coldplay I'm filled with the urge to commit violence, so in a way it makes sense
they aren't thaaaat bad, they are just incredibly generic and boring and mediocre
I watched the precious gemstones for him and he was pretty good
When Wyms laid out the pictures of Shane and his family and left Vic in the interrogation room alone I thought he was going to let out the scream from the opening/closing. Thought the same thing again when he was in the office at the end.
>Vic screaming "JUST ANOTHER DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY"
I'm kinda mad that the show's final episode was a quiet credits drop instead of cutting instantly to DAAAAYYYYY
>AI DIOS MIO I'M BURNING
>*police squad room errupts with laughter*
it was too kino, nothing like it will ever be made ever again
it's even better because Vic only uses racism to establish dominance and troll others when it'd benefit him the most. He only makes funny remarks to Aceveda when he wants to take the latter down a peg.

good - the shield was crap, the wire too
it's baffling how people keep deluding themselves into thinking these shows were kino.
why do you think the shield was bad
trolling or not, frick right off with that
>openly talking shit to boss in front of the entire office
No wonder Aceveda hated Vic
Ironically by the end of the show Aceveda was the least hostile person to Vic at least relatively to everyone else, who either wanted to him jailed or dead.

>at the end of the day you're still just a smoothskin
>WITH A VAULT DWELLING SMOOTHSKIN SON
Is that one any good? I haven't played the series at all so I have zero knowledge about the lore and shit
It's okay, not worth it in your case though
It’s kino but I really hate the someone-stands-in-the-center-of-the-barn-and-yells scenes. Same with Claudette saying “son”, makes the first season a little cringe.
i hate niggs but I liked caludette's character
Claudette and Dutch were great
My only complaint about Dutch was that they shot their load with him way too early and he didn't have much to do later on.
I always thought Dutch interrogating (and breaking) Vic was going to be the endgame.
There were plans to have his cat encounter evolve into full scale serial killing.
I've read one interview in which one of the show's creators says that he wanted the last scene of the show to be a panning shot of Dutch's apartment, which was full of corpses or kidnapped women.
Thank god they decided against that.
But Kurt was sold his dream biker gig by FX

SUCK IT!
thank god
we don't need any more media lifting ZOG homosexual pigs nuts
>the killer in me is the killer in (You)
Love that scene
Let’s see that mouth!
Good show. Takedown by Tantric is a good song
Agreed.
There's been 6,000,000 propaganda pieces demeaning, dehumanising bald men since this mediocre show aired.
why do you think it's mediocre
why was this guy so obsessed with piss? was it one of kurt sutter's barely disguised fetishes?
Once a manlet pisses inside your wife, your life's over man
Great character or greatest character?
If Billings isn't your favourite character, I doubt you got what the show was trying to say.
Yeah I didn’t get him at first until the lawsuit and Dutch partnership.
The vending machine arc was pure kino
>But as far as effort goes, I don't know what's between zero and the city mandate minimum, but from now on, let's call that "the Billings"
I work for the local council and needless to say the Billings is a great philosophy, they call it quiet quitting now but we all know the truth.
all public servants have this "ideology", no matter the country
The women in my office really think they are doing god's work doing over time for no pay and taking paperwork home to finish, pointless paperwork that no one will ever see but still. They get nothing done but are so busy its quite odd.
must be an exception because every single female public wokrer i've met is doing a perfect "the billings"
>someone saved my Billings reaction image
based beyond belief
And so forth
copacetic
The same character showed up on SWAT.
Shield sisters should I watch Bosch?
Nah, watch Southland.
Member that episode of Bosch werr Billings was framed for a muder by replacing the inner lining of his gun
Yeah, skip Botsch. SouthLAnd actually was decent, had a small Shield vibe, due to the ensemble cast of great actors.
that was the first show i dropped because of a gay subplot
As you should have. That storyline was misplaced.
he wasn't gay! He was on the Downlow!!!!
he was on the Downlow with other men!
No you don't get it - it's on the DOWN LOW! They aren't GAY! It's on the DOWN LOW !!! ITS ABOUT BEING BLACK!
I liked the first couple of seasons of Bosch, him vs the serial killer guy, I dropped it right after though, cant remember but if you want a pretty fun cop vs psycho arc its worth it

It was a message on toxic masculinity
>>> corrine is seperated from vic so she’s safe with the kids.

The oldest one at least was pretty normal last time we see him.
he was hidding his power level
Do you think Claudette is ready to settle down with the guy, that she seduced, from the first season, so he would confess? The guy who was saving his semen, and Dutch spilled it all over his suit
vic is a cuck, come at me bros

I always wondered what the words were.
I like how he called out the mexicans for what they are
>I'm sorry buddy
Choose wisely...
>made by a moron who never seen the wire
what was her problem?
American Phil Mitchell. If he was British, he'd be stuck in Eastenders.
Honestly, he reminds me more of Ross kemp.
The Shield is overrated af The Wire is sooo much better.
>Cletus Van Dam.
