Great animation wasted on a Walmart ad

The absolute state of this board.
It's a well-made ad but the fact that so many of you think this is some kind of miracle is fricking moronic. Chuck Jones is a god- true. The Grinch is fantastically animated short. But 70% of established animation companies could easily do this animation style. We don't make animation look like this anymore because it can look so much fricking better.
      >You don't understand- animation of this skill level is a rarity these days.
Animation on this level is done with every fricking ad. You're just creaming your pants because they replicated the look of this particular era's limited technology. I pray you live to be old enough to see kids in the 2030's calling Jimmy Neutron and Donkey Kong Country "truly soulful 3d animation that they don't make anymore".

Actually pretty good animation for the most part
But why waste it on an ad for an absolute shit tier company

How in the goddamned frick do goons think animation companies survive? Do you think they ask their animators to work at McDonald's while they're making movie or shows? Tell me.

The animation looks it was assisted using AI and I'm not even fricking around this time.

Because in your quest to become an animation "expert" without ever bothering to actually fricking try creating within the medium you've come to decide that 'old classics' will always be superior to 'modern shlock' even when the tools and techniques that have developed in modern times are SUPERIOR IN ALMOST EVERY WAY.
          >No computer can ever beat the SOUL of a 2d animator
b***h THEY MADE THIS COMMERCIAL ON A COMPUTER. ONLY A FRICKING MONKEY WOULD GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ANIMATE AN ENTIRE COMMERCIAL ON PAPER. STOP LARPING LIKE YOU'RE SOME BABY BOOMER BORN IN THE WRONG ERA.

budget. Networks want bang for their buck so they pinch every penny which forces studios to cut corners. It's not for lack of skill, but people can't work on a pro bono basis.

Walmart likely decided to ball out on budget for this advertisement. They needed something that would turn heads and help sway people from just ordering everything on Amazon. Looks like it's working. People are talking about this ad quite a bit in almost every social media sphere I've seen so far, though it's hard to gauge whether they'll get a worthwhile ROI

Spooky the animation is rather nice. But why is the Grinch not a board member of welfaremart fricking over the Who's by raising prices to insane levels even tho the commadaies market is perfectly fine. They're just being greedy claiming covid jacked up prices to insane levels. Even tho CostCo is still the same pays twice what welfaremart does and is 3X the qaulity for 10-40% more in price.

The grinch would be buying up all the stores in Whoville and shutting them down for welfaremart, and when Whoville isn't making insane profits shut the store down because there is one 10mi's away. Completely killing the town as all the stores are gone and 100+ people just got fired, as he collects the tears to turn into lube to jerk off with all the illegal CCTV cameras he set up in whoville.

Srsly this isn't cool Dr Seuss would never ever fricking allow welfaremark to use his shit. No matter how nice the animation is. Frick I hate welfaremart such a fricking trash store. And the shit they make their slaves do fricking dancing goyims every morning worshiping the store for giving them a job that pays shit refuses to give fulltime and etc.

I was at walmart the other day and read it. Honestly it's not a bad story. It's about The Grinch trying to show that he's no longer evil and part of Whoville so he joins a contest to make the best decorated Christmas tree thinking that if he wins that will prove to The Who's that he's changed, only for him to lose to Cindy. Thinking this is proof that The Who's hate him, Cidny calls out to The Grinch and he realizes that it's not about being the best or the most important, but about being together and celebrating everyone's acomplishments. I thought
