Whenever i see this stupid breastsass comic, i think of the one ep of south park where they made cartmans ass look like a pair of breasts for some higher grade boys
>Artist draws a fetish you have >They love to make more joke stuff than sexual stuff >Fetish base is so autistic they send death threats when their commissions aren't put priority one for a flavor of the month isn't done for the 90th time >Artist goes offline.
Every fricking time. Every fricking time. EVERY FRICKING TIME.
>They love to make more joke stuff than sexual stuff
Why is this so common?
Are people so afraid of actually liking something they have to do it ironically?
I even have a horny friend who passes up on romantic or lustful art if it's not a dumb joke.
Most artists who I've seen tend to do jokey fetish stuff do it as a coping mechanism to keep themselves from over reacting to anyone discovering their stuff and going full sperg.
Though the kind of dudes you are mentioning I know of as well and have no idea why they do it.
>The art itself isn't particularly great but the concepts and characters are interesting
That never happens. Even webcomics with good premises ditch them on page 5. >gradually becoming influenced by fetishes
Why aren't you giving up here? Why is this STAGE TWO? >patreon >peak
Artists peak before they get a patreon. >no-one pays for a good webcomic so it devolves into sex because sex pays
Did you try paying your artist for SFW content?
Pick one 2: >only one artist draws something you like, might not even be fetish tier, you just can't get it elsewhere >artist shoves multiple fetishes into each piece, and it's always the same ones >artist became progressively worse at drawing as the years went by
From the start his comic was so unfocused that going into porn was the natural direction for him.
This anon's plight is more sympathetic.
>They love to make more joke stuff than sexual stuff

I think it's easier to do lighthearted stuff if your main work is short comics, and even moreso when it's fetish art. Real sexual tension has to be built up with a narrative, if all you're doing are one page cartoons then falling back on humor is probably just a natural instinct.
On the one hand, I'm glad orangekisses is in a better place mentally and doesn't have to deal with that psycho e-stalker... on the other hand, she was fricking AMAZING at drawing beefy Amazon bawds

It's just some butthole pretending they're better than everyone else. Dipshits like that are a dime-a-dozen
You forgot they have to keep giving anon free entertainment while also taking a metric frickton of venomous abuse under the guise of "criticism" with a smile on their face.
I and many others will continue to shit on you at every opportunity. We will drive you to near-suicide. You won't have a good night's sleep ever again. You will be reminded of what a hackfraud you are and how low you've fallen.
Black person I am south American, who gives a shit about being praised, who gives a frick about this troony mental care shit, I just need American money so my family won't starve under a banana dictatorship.
because the HR department in South American drug trades aren't as nice when they give you the "pink slip". Especially when they call you in for a meeting with machetes.
This, based.
Money is money, homies here clutching their pearls at porn when they know they would never shell out a fricking dime for any SFW art can go frick a rake.
I like how you used the tamest possible image you could of his newer stuff (there was clothed images of his hyper vag girls you should have used that to really sell it. Stage five is just another booby Tuesday or titty Friday or whatever those autistic fricks have going each week.
God, I hate this shit
and not only does Twitter's design encourage this shit, there's also no neat grid view for posts like on Tumblr, so you have to scroll through text post after text post of political rants to find the occasional image
So, basically what happened to Stephanie Cherrywell?
>Started drawing Webcomics in high school. Crappy at first, but gradually got better and better throughout the 2000s, Meurtitos becoming one of the top webcomics online briefly. >Sure, she always included some candy for her personal love of plump girls(especially in GPCB), but the comedy always came first. >Got progressively better and better, switching to full color and even scoring several professional graphic novel deals >They sell terribly >Barely any money is coming in from ads >Can't support herself >Steph ends up giving up her dreams of webcomics and graphic novels and becomes a full time fatporn artist to make a living
Not enough young adults buying graphic novels in 2010/2011 I guess. Shame too, while they’re both extremely rare I’ve heard both Peppermint Penwell and Widgey Q Butterfluff are hilarious
Sounds like a western problem.
Maybe if Americans weren't such prudes you'd be able to go from doing silly webcomics to doing porn to being a published creator.
More like >Artist makes a SFW comic >Nobody fricking supports them >Bills to pay >Turn to fetish commissions because it actually pays >Original audience gets butthurt despite never functionally supporting the artist BEFORE they had to resort to fetish shit
You have no room to complain you panhandling homosexual.
Yeah but then you'd have to somehow build a huge audience before it could reasonably pay off.
which ends up creating the problem to begin with. You'd very much be working for free until one day a frick ton of people decide, "you know what, maybe this is worth paying for."
In this day and age I think it's too late to make money off of passion alone, you need some kind of hook to get people to stay now. Back then, there werent many passion projects to begin with, now every one and their mother has a side project.
Scam artist- just like the movie The Music Man but with degenerates and israeli-raised subhumans who pay to see large booba. Charge a fortune for crappy art, become popular, get into drama and then disappear forever.
Why do burgers have such a fricked up relationship to porn? It's like they have only two mode where they either pretend like it's the worst thing in the world or have a meltdown and go full on 40s-cartoon-caracter-sees-a-hot-woman.
Because it's all israeli made here in the US and they're constantly pushing the envelope into weirder shit. For example fricking your step sister fantasies are now 98% of all pornography. Nobody asked for this but now no one has any choice.
I'll never understand why westerners are always so angry at porn artists, one of the most enjoyable manga I've read in recent years was drawn and (mostly) written by a porn artist, and it's got excellent action, great characters, an interesting premise, and great art.
That manga should have been called Satos Wild Ride. Didn't give a shit about the protagonists. Sato the pacman playing, psychopathic, immortal sadist was the star of the show. It was always "what the frick this guy doin"
Sato is a great antagonist, but I also liked Nagai and a few of the other side characters.
It's just that they're all completely overshadowed by how much of an absolute fricking madman Sato is.
White people have been mindbroken by porn in multiple ways, so even just hearing that something they like was made by someone who made porn makes them lose their shit.
>eastvswest
Conservatives, especially the religious, and feminists don't like it.
Japan has one of these groups, hence why they're so angry at porn they still censor it.
Everywhere has porn artists in the industry. You're just selectively blind.
>Everywhere has porn artists in the industry.
America does not have open porn artists who do their professional work under the same name they used for their porn in the industry.
Japan does.
That is the difference.
I can go read a SFW manga from guys like haguhagu or tadataki kawasaki or 774nanashi and go search their names on sadpanda and find hardcore e-girl porn.
>Because you can't work under pseudonyms in the western comic and animation industry.
Lolwut?
That's not fricking true, fricking Youtubers like FGTeev have published comics under their youtube handles.
Protestantism made everyone too damn virtuous. We are taking about a country created by people who demolish the original Shakespeare theater, even the ones who don't call themselves religious still operate under this moralistic thinking where everything have to up hold to standards.
>Create artist handle to draw extreme shit >Turns out that coonsuming extreme shit and producing extreme shit are totally different >Don't want to spend hours drawing gaping e-girls >Draw pretty tame stuff >Job pays well enough to where i'm not suffering for money >Don't draw for months on end because i'm lazy or have no inspiration >tfw stuck in a cycle of doing nothing or sketching for 5 minutes and then not drawing again for a month
I'll give it to coomer artists, i wish i was as productive as they are but when you're hungry you'll do anything.
I know the pain of this motivation loop. Except in my case I draw exclusively for my own enjoyment, so I don't feel any sort of external pressure to work. Just the crushing disappointment in my own lack of drive.

Why is there no cure for this?
I drew progressively more explicit stuff to the point it's grotesque. I can't tell if I'm depressed or jaded, but most stuff I draw now is either weird or cruel. I'm having a hard time going back to saner stuff so I don't upload much anymore (there's no way I'm sharing that filth). It's always been a hobby so it's not a big deal if I don't upload anything. Regardless, porn definitely broke something in my head.
There's a connection going on when you actually put your hands in something. You can passively consume any type of media, but when you produce it you have to be active and pay attention. You start with a tiny doodle and think "oh, this would be hot" and refine... "what about this" add it... "and what if they..." and before you notice, you cranked the perversity tenfold to the point it's beyond obscene. You managed to follow through because you leveled with each step but if you were to show it to someone else, it'd be a steep mountain to climb.
I'm still trying to give it a rest and go back but holy shit... it's like people quitting coffee after severe addiction: you never feel as good as you did before. I should probably not even attempt to draw anything even remotely sexy and focus on the drawing instead.

You aint kidding, coomer artists are fricking built different. Hell artists that can consistently produce shit weekly are straight up monsters.
I just can't do it. I'd love to draw more, but shit dude, I want to consoom too. I cant consoom if im busy making content for other consoomers.
weird, I don't remember posting this. But jokes aside, I do feel you bro. It takes a while to build up to do extreme shit. Whenever I take a brake to cooldown I come back to do pin-ups and vainilla and I have to build up my degeneracy all over again
I'm not above looking at or even saving pornographic art, but I will never, ever support a pornographic artist. I hate them and want them all to starve. I'm not particularly fond of non-pornographic artists, either.
>webcomic has a decent following >For a treat every so often the artist draws some cheesecake
Path 1: >Takes the furry pill >Original web comic is cancelled, their output is nothing but gayshit furshit
Path 2: >Takes the politic pill >Original web comic is cancelled, their output is 100 tweets per day.
I hate this is more common than one could imagine.
>furry pill
Wouldn't this be inevitable though if your comic has anthropomorphic shit in it though? >politic pill
This one's worse and I'm pissed that there are so many that fall into this camp now. It's even worse when it's both pills too.
Reinbach is both a) a halfway decent artist and b) aware of his own audience. He draws the things he's good at and the things that people like. The result is a porn artist who makes good porn for people that are willing to pay for it AND has enough wits about him to not radically deviate and draw bizarre shit on a whim that would alienate his paying audience. An artist with business sense.
The only webcomics I’ve read is: >Camp Sherwood >Solo Leveling >Omniscient Readers Viewpoint
-and out of these three, only one is really a porn comic. Your mistake is expecting a freelancer to have enough support drawing SFW stuff compared to what NSFW artists get. you either die as a safe artist, or become desperate enough and turn into a politics/smut artist.
There's no shortage of artists that manage to do both pretty well. Many of them are Japanese (Ever hear of Ghost in the Shell? Hellsing?), but there's a few Westerners too (Fred Perry is based on a regular basis).
VanHeist's problem was twofold. He was one of those artists that was doing great telling a disjointed story, then decided to "retell" it "properly" and immediately lost momentum because that's just not fun. He's also a fatgay, which is vomit-inducing. Two big flaws, but uncommmon ones.
>Many of them are Japanese (Ever hear of Ghost in the Shell? Hellsing?)
This reminds me of a Japanese unbirth vore porn comic that's getting an official manga, which I find hilarious.
don't know much about webcomics and shit but I've been enjoying the latest pages in tmutb. lovable comic, i bet that if more comics were like this your industry would have far more readers.
I just looked up that comic and horny really isn't a good description, this is straight up porn otherwise I would recommend Cassiopeia Quinn since it's a pretty good callback to 70s space sci-fi that just so happens to be horny sometimes.
hard disagree and is funny since the comic barely has any sex scene for a porn comic and nothing too explicit except for the last 3 pages.
i like it for developing the relationship between the two main characters in a really wholesome way and often acknowledging and showing the sexual attraction between the characters
I feel like there are about three ways that stories tend to deal with sex, and (well, maybe not after this latest scene) that comic managed to navigate around all of them.
One is to hide from it: the general-audiences route, fade-to-black and all that. (Which isn't all prudishness, though, but really is efficient storytelling. How can the details of a sex scene where nothing is going wrong convey story-relevant information that couldn't be inferred from the mere idea that the sex happens? It's tougher than you might think!)
Another is to dwell on it: the porn route, where the foremost constraint on the work is the audience's masturbation sessions, so plot and characters must take a backseat to delivering the mandatory explicitness on regular intervals (looking at you, Brad and Leslie)
A third is to spoil it: the High Art route, where sex can be portrayed as explicitly and crudely as you please so long as the sex portrayed is somehow bad, so you can rest assured that riffraff aren't reading for the wrong reasons.
Monster Under the Bed didn't have the shame of the general-audiences route, the mercenary feel of the porn-comic route, or the insecure self-consciousness/self-sabotaging of the High Art route. The simple straightforwardness is refreshing.
Hello it's me anon from yesterday, I read the whole thing while in bed and honestly the most suprising thing to me is how a comic that started in 2014 can have 260 pages, it's not even bad though for me anything pornographic is a guilty pleasure so I probably won't read it again until I see it being mentioned, sorta like that one comic about the guy who's moronic and daydreams of colours and has a doppelganger and haven't updated in over two years last I checked; anyway I still disagree that it would be a good industry model particularly because of how people nowadays think of visuals in comics, the art style is reminiscend of early 2010s but people would say a "pretty (web)comic" is something that either looks clean or looks like Unsounded, the writing is like an actual porn comic script was giving to someone who tried to streetch it into being interesting - and props to it for being interesting enough, as for being pornographic I definitely would've jacked to it if it wasn't incomplete.
Lemme see.. >Val Salia(Out of Placers)
Mix of 3 and 4, heading into 4 territory. Was a great fish out of water type story, right up until it had the yinglets fricking each other and humans as well, all on-page. Now it's not a webcomic you wanna read at work. Or recommend to people you know. And he swore he would keep the fetish shit out in the beginning. >Aaron Neathery(Endtown)
Firmly in 4, only not so much sex. Just a whole lot of build-up that keeps avoiding a payoff. >Scott Ramsoomair(VG Cats)
Was in 5, and failed out since people just stopped caring. >Morbi(Poppy O'possum)
Went 4 and tried to turn into a novel at the same time. Failed so hard he didn't even reach 5, and quit outright.

Wut? That's a pretty weird way to look at it. Val has been one of the most respectable webcomic creators I've ever seen. From the outset he told everyone the comic would have olgalf style sex gags. And even then it's never actually gone full nsfw and what sex jokes are there are few and far between.
Yeah I'm not sure what that anons on about. In the 7 years the comics been going this is the single most explicit page and in the 2 years since it came out nothing has ever even come close. I don't even think val has ever actually done explicit porn. Even his lewd side comic about skyrim covers the inappropriate bits up.
>Went 4 and tried to turn into a novel at the same time.
Reminds me how Paranatural tried to turn into a novel while also going in and out of hiatus. I should be glad they didn't try to make coomer Patreon art too
>bills to pay
First world artists selling themselves to porn because they would rather pretend they're doing what they used to like than get a dayjob, just embrace the suck, literally no fanbase gets mad at the author when they are transparent about going from 3 pages a week to 1 page a month because they had to move to another state and get a new job to stay fed, what people will complain about though is selling oneself to drawing weird fetishes because it gets money thus alienating what following one had.
It's really more about convincing people to pay for your shit than making good shit, believe it or not selling weird specific porn is just like selling crack, the fricks willing to pay for it don't have a functional brann and thus you just need people to know you exist at all as long as you can provice a product that is at least mediocre.
If you already have a halfway decent fanbase, yes. If you don't, then R34 or fetish stuff will give you a huge boost to start off with. Just riding whatever's popular at the time is an easy way to get a following quickly.
For me if there are no drawn genitals then it's not porn.
There's borderline porn, stuff like Parallel Paradise which is literally as close as you can get to being porn while still being published in a non-porn magazine, but it's not quite on the level of real porn.
I think for America it's "softcore" and "hardcore" porn.

The only requirement is if it was created to make people jerk off to it. It doesn't matter if you see genitals or not.
If that were indeed your goal with this post, then it would be considered a pornographic sentence. (pornographic novels do exist) However you're obviously just making shit up to make a point or something, which negates your proclaimed intentions.
>artist draws porn you like >they no longer can create that same porn because of fear of losing Patreon bucks
Why the frick is Patreon and credit card companies run by prude boomers?
>tfw I really like to draw fetish porn but also want to make young adult material so I can't pick an audience
I just want to make my comic about a smelly hairy girl being an exhibitionist while also making a fantasy adventure about a group of teen friends. I hate this shitty stigma
It's not patreon's fault. The owner has gone on record that he personally doesn't give a shit about whether or not people draw NSFW art. They're being hogtied by the credit card companies.
If they don't purge the more "objectionable" NSFW stuff, then companies won't do business with Patreon. They had to make the tough call, otherwise they'd end up punishing all the video essay people and podcasters that make up like 90% of their revenue.
It's a shit situation, but it's the credit card companies that are being b***hes about this. Patreon is just as much a victim in this case.
Nearly all credit card companies, as well as some digital payment services like Stripe and Paypal, see adult content as a liability.
In some cases, some of the card companies allow it, but in order to use their services for it, they charge you a higher rate to use their service. So in Patreon's case, it's either take a bigger cut out of EVERYONE on the platform's income, or just drop the weirder NSFW artists.
>some of the card companies allow it, but in order to use their services for it, they charge you a higher rate to use their service
which ones? i'm interested
Isn't that why OnlyFans for a second was legitimately considering dropping all its NSFW content? I'd sure hate to be in that situation. Either drop all nsfw and lose a significant amount of your revenue to satisfy your funders and credit card companies, or stick with it and foot the bill yourself only to have the place go to shit because nobody wants to pay raised prices.
In part, but it was also because they were wanting to go 'respectable', despite the undeniable fact that that's exactly what dooms platforms with a healthy NSFW count (just look at Tumblr, going from being worth $1.1 billion, to just over 3 million)
They don't do it for kicks, they're trying to minimise their compliance costs. Facilitating any sort of sex business, even if it's perfectly legal, gets you all sorts of unwanted attention from the anti-money laundering authorities and human trafficking "rescue" groups. And that's just in a non-cucked country, the US has all of those FOSTA/SESTA anti-sex work laws too, so overall it's in every bank and payment processor's financial interest to steer clear of porn.

>and human trafficking "rescue" groups
if they cared so much about human trafficking they would be advocating for more security in the border since an open border just facilitate the traffic of thousands of people every year.
shit more than 7 women are disappearing in my shithole country every day and those anti sex work groups do jack shit about it.

Border security isn't going to stop that since most forced sex work isn't jumping borders. There's plenty of degenerates in the local markets to make money.

Fricking why??? So many of these stupid fricking artists are only on Twitter. How about you dumb fricks get a real gallery site so I can look at your shit without digging through 1000 shitty tweets and retweets
Porn is inherently a vapid medium as it is exclusively for the purpose of masturbation, which is an equally vapid and ultimately shallow practice that's mostly indulged in either as a coping mechanism for your life being shit or as a bad habit that you pick up as a kid out of curiosity and ride into adulthood because your brain hadn't fully developed yet and you got addicted to it. Any and all value from even the best piece of smut is immediately lost after you come to it.
Porn artists are by proxy doomed to irrelevance, meaningless little cogs in a machine that gets bigger and more productive every year. Even people like Zone and Shadman are on the way out with zero real legacy, because the sum total of their accomplishments was getting your dick wet. You guys must understand how easy that is to do.
I'm not gonna be a prude and say that there's something fundamentally wrong with smut, I'm drawing it privately right now, but if most of your content consists of porn then you've likely drawn nothing of value.
>inherently a vapid medium as it is exclusively for the purpose of
Art is bad when it's for sensory indulgence? So you don't like any art? >artists are by proxy doomed to irrelevance, meaningless little cogs in a machine that gets bigger and more productive every year. >are on the way out with zero real legacy
Yeah sounds like art. In fact most professions don't even elevate you to celebrity status whilst you're doing them, let alone after. >You guys must understand how easy that is to do.
Not very. It's easier to serve people in a shop than learn to draw, let alone in a way that provokes base instincts. >I'm not gonna be a prude and say that there's something fundamentally wrong with smut,
Everything you've said is prudish. Smut artists should be drawing things other than smut because it helps them grow as an artist, not because of some metaphysical """value""" of which you have not named, cannot provide and do not believe in as you're too busy believing you're shameful for drawing porn.
>Art is bad when it's for sensory indulgence? So you don't like any art?
Implying that the purpose of all art is to stimulate basic sexual arousal is reductive and insulting.
>It's easier to serve people in a shop than learn to draw, let alone in a way that provokes base instincts.
You misread my point, which is that it's very easy both to jerk off and to find something to jerk off to. When the market is oversaturated, the product doesn't stand out all that much.
>Yeah sounds like art. In fact most professions don't even elevate you to celebrity status whilst you're doing them, let alone after.
This doesn't change the fact that porn artists will not and have not been remembered fondly by anyone that isn't a coomer on Cinemaphile whose highlight in life was pulling it to Frankie getting back-blasted as a kid. There is at least the possibility of leaving an impression on people if you were to draw or write something of actual artistic value, because-
>not because of some metaphysical """value""" of which you have not named, cannot provide and do not believe in
A piece of art is valuable if it manages to provoke a strong emotional reaction within someone. It's that simple. Whether it makes you cry, or laugh your ass off, or it shocks you, or the experience was so impressive that you just don't even know how to parse through it for a while; that's the entire point to making a movie, or drawing something, or writing.
There is inherently nothing within porn that garners a strong emotional reaction, because it is by design made to stimulate one's sex drive and nothing else. 99% of porn on the internet as is is disgusting, poorly drawn (when it's not shitty CG crap) juvenile garbage, and most of the 1% remaining is competently drawn brainless schlock consisting of a popular character is getting reamed with a stupid look on their face.
>tries to defend art as worthwhile >uses anime image
I would forgive anyone for stopping here and discarding your opinion but let me explain why.
Your argument is that sensory indulgence is permitted, provided it is not related to lust, and pretend that because your genitals warm up, you forget the experience, unlike anything emotional or I assume intellectually stimulating. This is bizarre.
You also argue that market saturation doesn't help to be memorable. I will simply refer to your image, pop music, television dramas, most books and the MCU.
And finally you argue that porn itself suffers quality control, the lack of being adult, and abusing fan favourites. Do I need to refer once again to your image of choice?
I do agree that stupid face, if it's the one I'm thinking of, is terrible and has no relation to coitus, and it ruins porn for me.
Just because you think copulation isn't a part of your being, that you think populism is a measure of an art's worth, and that you think poor quality art is contemptible, doesn't mean porn is bad. You just have problems you haven't reconciled inside your own head.
>most of argument revolves around saying dragon ball is bad like this has anything to do with what was being said
The image is irrelevant to any point I was making, I don't consider Dragon Ball to be the apex of artistic expression. I just like Cell's smug face. Fixating on it is also a bizarre thing to do.
>you think populism is a measure of an art's worth
You misread what I said again, I said that a piece of art is valuable if it provokes a strong emotional reaction within SOMEONE. Anyone. The majority's thoughts on something are only useful to gauge some measure of objectivity of it, generally via their shared likes or dislikes about it, and even this isn't always practical to do.
>Just because you think copulation isn't a part of your being
Having sex with someone and touching yourself to a depiction of sex are completely different.
>you think poor quality art is contemptible
I don't think poor quality art is contemptible, because one can find understanding in its faults; I think meaningless art is contemptible. Most porn pieces have no point to make or thing to say, because that's not the point of porn. It's second-rate by design.
Is there anything more entitled and judgmental waste of human skin than some random jerk on 4chins? Literally who cares what the guy draws to make money. He's just one mediocre artist in an ocean of talentlessness.
The problem is when you don't START doing porn. If you start as a porn artist you can coom whenever you want and keep your head (and seminal vesicles) clean when it's time to work on your webcomic.
After reading such a beautiful and concise takedown I actually kinda feel bad for him now.
But soon... soon it's the EnnuiGo guy's time.
Coom spells doom.
What I'm gathering is that coomers are more likely to pay for the content/art they want while fart huffers want everything for free. Things might be a little different if the fart huffers cared enough to outbid the coomers or at the very least attempt to help put food on the table for the artists.
Because when you have very few people who do the thing you like, you're probably more willing to pay for it unlike regular vanilla normies who have billions of people of varying quality and styles who put their shit out for less than pennies. Thats the basic concept at least.
So its either stop being a degenerate coomer, or pay up to get your fix anyway you can.
This is because there's a million vanilla artitts drawing generic pin-ups online. Just having ANY specific niche gets you more attention and potentially more money.
OP, I don't know how to respond to you since you didn't actually make an argument. What's the problem with an artist pivoting to porn to make money? Is it wrong to say "If you hire me to do this, I will do it"? Is E-Begging more honorable?
Why do Cinemaphile and /aco/ hate their porn artists so much? I've never seen the same kind of hate on Cinemaphile or /h/ for the dudes who draw doujins
Envy. Cinemaphile despises people who can draw for being constant reminders of their own lack of talent or discipline so they lash out. Moralhomosexualry is just one of the many forms it takes.
>read fetish webcomic >art's a little weird at first but it hits the right buttons so no big >backlash to an out-of-place non-con scenario creates opportunity for character development that makes the story all the better >then it veers a little too hard into plot territory even for your "plot with porn" liking and swamps itself with worldbuilding infodump upon worldbuilding infodump >returns to fetishy goodness after the anime bullshit arc is done >teases a new plotline only to meander to the point of forgetting about it multiple times >previously hanging plot thread returns and becomes the new focus of the story >luckily it's more fetish stuff so that's all well and good >except you decided to restart reading the comic so you could fully appreciate the course it's taken all over again, warts and all >tumblr porn ban and wish-washiness towards reposting on the author's part make it impossible to continue on top of your intrinsic procrastination >not to mention new comics being Patreon-exclusive >author's other comics are either too fast-paced, too vague in what's going on, or go literally nowhere after a single strip >pic related would be (and is) so much better without the John Oliver-level explaining of the joke above the panels >author ODing on meds in a 40% suicide attempt and a request to the only other person you know who reads it to stop sharing new material with you in an effort to stay spoiler-free leaves its present fate a complete unknown >real shame, a BDSM webcomic about latex-wearing lesbians sounds like fun
Life's tough for a Collar6 fan like me.
T
>porn artist you like starts to almost exclusively draw a fetish you don't have
Feet chads win again
Whenever i see this stupid breastsass comic, i think of the one ep of south park where they made cartmans ass look like a pair of breasts for some higher grade boys
>Artist draws a fetish you have
>They love to make more joke stuff than sexual stuff
>Fetish base is so autistic they send death threats when their commissions aren't put priority one for a flavor of the month isn't done for the 90th time
>Artist goes offline.
Why is this STAGE TWO?
>patreon
>peak
Artists peak before they get a patreon.
>no-one pays for a good webcomic so it devolves into sex because sex pays
Did you try paying your artist for SFW content?
Pick one 2:
>only one artist draws something you like, might not even be fetish tier, you just can't get it elsewhere
>artist shoves multiple fetishes into each piece, and it's always the same ones
>artist became progressively worse at drawing as the years went by
>tfw BzehBurger used to have a bunch of hot OC characters
>now they only draw Arthur porn
>
RavenRavenRaven for me.
sorry but i'm not into giantess
acquire it, then
Futabros
From the start his comic was so unfocused that going into porn was the natural direction for him.
This anon's plight is more sympathetic.
I think it's easier to do lighthearted stuff if your main work is short comics, and even moreso when it's fetish art. Real sexual tension has to be built up with a narrative, if all you're doing are one page cartoons then falling back on humor is probably just a natural instinct.
Sparrow used to be a favorite of mine before he segued entirely into mega-deformation.
Occasionally he'll draw a respectable non-stretchy gang-bang or bondage scenario, and it's nostalgic.
On the one hand, I'm glad orangekisses is in a better place mentally and doesn't have to deal with that psycho e-stalker... on the other hand, she was fricking AMAZING at drawing beefy Amazon bawds
It's just some butthole pretending they're better than everyone else. Dipshits like that are a dime-a-dozen
>go to porn artist's twitter
>they post more reaction images than their own art
>go to some fricking booru instead
>it's outdated
f u c k
Markydaysaid for me. He got really popular with his skyrim parody comic, but then changed his art to something ugly and made a lot more gay porn.
They wanted to drop the series for their mid at best porn comic and rushed an ending, dropping a lot of plot threads to do so.
> find and follow good artist for cute artstyle
> slowly degenerates to fatgayging
why bros...?
who is this, for research
It is always sad.
>Noooo you can't just use your skill to make money, you have to keep giving me free entertainment!!
Problem?
You forgot they have to keep giving anon free entertainment while also taking a metric frickton of venomous abuse under the guise of "criticism" with a smile on their face.
I and many others will continue to shit on you at every opportunity. We will drive you to near-suicide. You won't have a good night's sleep ever again. You will be reminded of what a hackfraud you are and how low you've fallen.
So, as you say... Problem? :3c
Black person I am south American, who gives a shit about being praised, who gives a frick about this troony mental care shit, I just need American money so my family won't starve under a banana dictatorship.
Why not just grow and sell drugs?
because the HR department in South American drug trades aren't as nice when they give you the "pink slip". Especially when they call you in for a meeting with machetes.
Yes that sounds like the cia.
American money is getting banana'd too
This, based.
Money is money, homies here clutching their pearls at porn when they know they would never shell out a fricking dime for any SFW art can go frick a rake.
At least YOUR dictatorship has banana.
The things you like are boring normie shit that no one wants to pay to see, come back when your opinion is actually worth a damn.
God you're pathetic.
>We will drive you to near-suicide.
Sure you do, kid.
Man I haven't seen a serious 'anonymous is legion' post in... oh, over five years now.
You must be 18 years or older to post here, kiddo
t
qrd?
Lurk
gay, but ok fine
He is a porn artist who also does real porn.
That better be a boy in that picture anon.
The artist or the character? Either way they both are.
That particular character is probably a hermaphrodite. He also draw several traps though.
What the frick is wrong with her eyes?
>her
Contact lenses. Like it should had been obvious.
Ikemeru a cutie. Would smash.
>Porn artist that draw your niche fetish rather spend his time shit posting then drawing.
This. Why do people who don't even speak english have to think they're funny?
shad aka why most porn artists from his era should kill themselves NOW
Everything went downhill when he did the reboot and never had a website.
Am i really the only one willing to play the game? Okay fine then. "Theres no visible difference between stage 2 and stage 4 on that chart"
I like how you used the tamest possible image you could of his newer stuff (there was clothed images of his hyper vag girls you should have used that to really sell it. Stage five is just another booby Tuesday or titty Friday or whatever those autistic fricks have going each week.
>hyper vag
Sauce?
Hyper pussy is underrated and needs to reach the same heights as futa art
You left out
>Politispergs so much that he kills a majority of his audience
God, I hate this shit
and not only does Twitter's design encourage this shit, there's also no neat grid view for posts like on Tumblr, so you have to scroll through text post after text post of political rants to find the occasional image
Which then reminds me that the artist b***hing about people wanting free shit from them is a socialist.
Holy shit this I hate that so much
>p82cum
So, basically what happened to Stephanie Cherrywell?
>Started drawing Webcomics in high school. Crappy at first, but gradually got better and better throughout the 2000s, Meurtitos becoming one of the top webcomics online briefly.
>Sure, she always included some candy for her personal love of plump girls(especially in GPCB), but the comedy always came first.
>Got progressively better and better, switching to full color and even scoring several professional graphic novel deals
>They sell terribly
>Barely any money is coming in from ads
>Can't support herself
>Steph ends up giving up her dreams of webcomics and graphic novels and becomes a full time fatporn artist to make a living
>Steph ends up giving up her dreams of webcomics and graphic novels and becomes a full time fatporn artist to make a living
what?
You act like she isn't doing exactly what she's always done, she just integrates them more than she used to.
Why didn’t they sell?
Not enough young adults buying graphic novels in 2010/2011 I guess. Shame too, while they’re both extremely rare I’ve heard both Peppermint Penwell and Widgey Q Butterfluff are hilarious
Where did it go so wrong?
You can sell it was going to go downhill immediately just by the noses
when he became obsessed with the lesbian chick at the expense of the protagonist, and also just gave up on actually finishing the series.
I tought it ended pretty well, it's too bad their new project sucks, I tried to get into rock rocks, but it got so boring after the melody arc
Boo boo homie no one cares about a shitty web comic.
Sounds like a western problem.
Maybe if Americans weren't such prudes you'd be able to go from doing silly webcomics to doing porn to being a published creator.
To people questioning why certain porn related dilemmas are so common, it's because porn is bad you morons.
More like
>Artist makes a SFW comic
>Nobody fricking supports them
>Bills to pay
>Turn to fetish commissions because it actually pays
>Original audience gets butthurt despite never functionally supporting the artist BEFORE they had to resort to fetish shit
You have no room to complain you panhandling homosexual.
Pretty much this. Now draw breasts or GTFO.
Sigh.
(. Y .)
>Artist makes a SFW comic
>Nobody fricking supports them
It's massivly expensive compared to buying a book.
With a halfway decent audience, you could make a living even if they all just gave $1 a month.
Charge a fortune for crappy art, become popular, get into drama and then disappear forever.
>extreme fetish porn artist has a black girlfriend now, stop drawing extreme porn every week and only draw vanilla porn once a month every month.
Why is it always a black chick?
>why does the extreme fetish porn artist have an extreme fetish?
uhh
If liking black girls was extreme I'm not sure the anon will be sad. Extreme is the stuff you see on /d/.
Same, frick i loved his rape porn drawings
Sounds based as frick. WGMI bros.
Who are they?
Why do burgers have such a fricked up relationship to porn? It's like they have only two mode where they either pretend like it's the worst thing in the world or have a meltdown and go full on 40s-cartoon-caracter-sees-a-hot-woman.
Because it's all israeli made here in the US and they're constantly pushing the envelope into weirder shit. For example fricking your step sister fantasies are now 98% of all pornography. Nobody asked for this but now no one has any choice.
I dunno, why do Euros put gratuitous nudity in their comics?
because they are somehow simultaneously way freakier and way more respectful about sex and nudity
because people outside the US aren't reeeeing autistic prudes about sex and nudity
Burgers are founded by a religious sect that left England because they thought the British were getting too horny.
I'll never understand why westerners are always so angry at porn artists, one of the most enjoyable manga I've read in recent years was drawn and (mostly) written by a porn artist, and it's got excellent action, great characters, an interesting premise, and great art.
>No SEX
Won't read
better be giving a name.
Ajin
AKA Sato the Terrorist's Wild Ride
Real shit:
That manga should have been called Satos Wild Ride. Didn't give a shit about the protagonists. Sato the pacman playing, psychopathic, immortal sadist was the star of the show. It was always "what the frick this guy doin"
Sato is a great antagonist, but I also liked Nagai and a few of the other side characters.
It's just that they're all completely overshadowed by how much of an absolute fricking madman Sato is.
Ajin has some top-tier shootouts and set pieces.
It's almost like an 80s action film in manga form.
>774nanashi
So are these real names or aliases?
Because you can't work under pseudonyms in the western comic and animation industry.
>Because you can't work under pseudonyms in the western comic and animation industry.
Lolwut?
That's not fricking true, fricking Youtubers like FGTeev have published comics under their youtube handles.
>So are these real names or aliases?
>774nanashi
No clue who that is, but his "name" is literally "4n0n5anon" in Japanese, so...
Protestantism made everyone too damn virtuous. We are taking about a country created by people who demolish the original Shakespeare theater, even the ones who don't call themselves religious still operate under this moralistic thinking where everything have to up hold to standards.
>Superman doing community services is now bad according to EastvsWest gays
This I read kemono giga the other year and it was a wild ride.
Jack Cayless?
> Lustgard stopped working on that beautiful nordic thicc assed girl 3d model and is now making extreme fatty renders on patreon.
It hurts. It hurts so damn much.
god fricking damn it
i wanted more
>Create artist handle to draw extreme shit
>Turns out that coonsuming extreme shit and producing extreme shit are totally different
>Don't want to spend hours drawing gaping e-girls
>Draw pretty tame stuff
>Job pays well enough to where i'm not suffering for money
>Don't draw for months on end because i'm lazy or have no inspiration
>tfw stuck in a cycle of doing nothing or sketching for 5 minutes and then not drawing again for a month
I'll give it to coomer artists, i wish i was as productive as they are but when you're hungry you'll do anything.
shut the frick up and draw some smut b***h.
I DONT WANNA!
I'll tell your Mom.
Shut up and draw e-girls, prude
I know the pain of this motivation loop. Except in my case I draw exclusively for my own enjoyment, so I don't feel any sort of external pressure to work. Just the crushing disappointment in my own lack of drive.
>Don't draw for months on end because i'm lazy or have no inspiration
>Just the crushing disappointment in my own lack of drive.
Why is there no cure for this?
I'm feeling you.
This is your brain on leftist zoomerism. Addicted to drawing stupid shit. Give me a fricking break.
shut up b***hes, you don't draw. None of you do
You aint kidding, coomer artists are fricking built different.
Whenever I take a brake to cooldown I come back to do pin-ups and vainilla and I have to build up my degeneracy all over again
of all the sad words of tongue or pen the saddest are these 'it might have been
Can you explain what made this a shark jump to someone considering picking it back up?
I'm not above looking at or even saving pornographic art, but I will never, ever support a pornographic artist. I hate them and want them all to starve. I'm not particularly fond of non-pornographic artists, either.
follow some non-western ones
>Posts vanilla porn
There's nothing wrong with that....post the horrors.
>webcomic has a decent following
>For a treat every so often the artist draws some cheesecake
Path 1:
>Takes the furry pill
>Original web comic is cancelled, their output is nothing but gayshit furshit
Path 2:
>Takes the politic pill
>Original web comic is cancelled, their output is 100 tweets per day.
I hate this is more common than one could imagine.
>furry pill
Wouldn't this be inevitable though if your comic has anthropomorphic shit in it though?
>politic pill
This one's worse and I'm pissed that there are so many that fall into this camp now. It's even worse when it's both pills too.
there's nothing wrong with being a porn artist.
is this mock up or legit book?
Reinbach is both a) a halfway decent artist and b) aware of his own audience. He draws the things he's good at and the things that people like. The result is a porn artist who makes good porn for people that are willing to pay for it AND has enough wits about him to not radically deviate and draw bizarre shit on a whim that would alienate his paying audience. An artist with business sense.
The only webcomics I’ve read is:
>Camp Sherwood
>Solo Leveling
>Omniscient Readers Viewpoint
-and out of these three, only one is really a porn comic. Your mistake is expecting a freelancer to have enough support drawing SFW stuff compared to what NSFW artists get. you either die as a safe artist, or become desperate enough and turn into a politics/smut artist.
's nothing wrong with being a porn artis
>I'm currently trying to make my way being a porn artist.
Oh I don't draw. I use Photoshop
Link?
Is that the one about the giant maid?
>webcomic was a fetish webcomic the entire time
>and normies couldn't even tell
Do what you will, I've already won.
There is literally nothing wrong with being a porn artist. It's good money and that's all that matters.
You're right, there isn't.
don't know much about webcomics and shit but I've been enjoying the latest pages in tmutb. lovable comic, i bet that if more comics were like this your industry would have far more readers.
Like what? Horny?
yes
I always forget this is still going. Stopped following it years ago it feels. Pops up on most popular on sadpanda now and again.
Yeah, seems to fit a pattern.
I would much rather churn out a few pinups a month than work some soul-sucking retail job.
Could you really make a full-time wage from a few pics a month? Like what 4-5? Shit man I can draw a bit, that's tempting.
Just riding whatever's popular at the time is an easy way to get a following quickly.
what exactly is considered porn art? If I draw passionate kissing is it porn?
For me if there are no drawn genitals then it's not porn.
There's borderline porn, stuff like Parallel Paradise which is literally as close as you can get to being porn while still being published in a non-porn magazine, but it's not quite on the level of real porn.
I think for America it's "softcore" and "hardcore" porn.
2 characters fricking, anything else is just NSFW.
The only requirement is if it was created to make people jerk off to it. It doesn't matter if you see genitals or not.
I'm making this post for other anons to jerk off to.
If that were indeed your goal with this post, then it would be considered a pornographic sentence. (pornographic novels do exist) However you're obviously just making shit up to make a point or something, which negates your proclaimed intentions.
>artist draws porn you like
>they no longer can create that same porn because of fear of losing Patreon bucks
I hate this shitty stigma
blame christian culture and conservatives
>blame christian culture and conservatives
not in this time
>it's not the conservatives fault!
PayPal being puritanical goes back to Peter Thiel.
>muh Peter Thiel
Shut the frick up, you whiny twitterbrained turbohomosexual
>His favorite porn artists aren't all on fanbox/subscribestar already
Only a matter of time until Patreon outright bans all porn.
>Only a matter of time until Patreon outright bans all porn.
Because that plan worked out so well for Tumblr and OnlyFans
It's not patreon's fault. The owner has gone on record that he personally doesn't give a shit about whether or not people draw NSFW art. They're being hogtied by the credit card companies.
If they don't purge the more "objectionable" NSFW stuff, then companies won't do business with Patreon. They had to make the tough call, otherwise they'd end up punishing all the video essay people and podcasters that make up like 90% of their revenue.
It's a shit situation, but it's the credit card companies that are being b***hes about this. Patreon is just as much a victim in this case.
>but it's the credit card companies that are being b***hes about this.
Don't get it, is just with it or only ones that doesn't belong directly to adult topic.
My bad I lost (?)
I wish these guys would just let coomers coom.
There's plenty of degenerates in the local markets to make money.
no but it certainly makes it harder for criminals to export kidnapped humans since there's more vigilance in who and why enters.
Is it truly so bad that I just want to wank to my next door neighbors masturbation videos and well drawn boobs on a cartoon character now and then?
No but it's basically your typical, held down by a combination of genuinely wanting to stop a niche amount of bad shit AND plain old bureaucracy to line a chain of pockets.
>Is it truly so bad that I just want to wank to my next door neighbors masturbation videos
Why not just frick your neighbor?
there is no neighbor, I'm just saying if some random girl wants to put up videos of herself for people to coom to, I don't see any problem.
Anon is too introverted, a virgin, and she has a boyfriend.
Convince them to have a threesome with you for her OnlyFans.
>I just want to get off to e-girl nipple transplant porn in peace, what the frick is so wrong about that?
>don't want to bother making a twitter account
>porn artist only takes commissions on twitter
>find some artists at Paheal, Gelbooru or Rule34.xxx
>Follow the links
>They only have a Twitter account and no dedicated gallery
"Content of value" is just a palate cleanser in between getting your dick wet.
True shit
>inherently a vapid medium as it is exclusively for the purpose of
Art is bad when it's for sensory indulgence?
You're a moron.
That's a lot of words to say that you have a psychosexual disorder, anon.
>tries to defend art as worthwhile
>uses anime image
You just have problems you haven't reconciled inside your own head.
a futurama gif is any better?
Not him, but Futurama is the one that had a writer's room full of PHDs.
>a writer's room full of PHDs
credentialism. of course. the saving grace of our times.
>most of argument revolves around saying dragon ball is bad like this has anything to do with what was being said
The image is irrelevant to any point I was making, I don't consider Dragon Ball to be the apex of artistic expression.
Swords teased #4 but wimped out and went back to #3
Good, his art is disgusting.
The problem is when you don't START doing porn. If you start as a porn artist you can coom whenever you want and keep your head (and seminal vesicles) clean when it's time to work on your webcomic.
>bawwwww someone moved on and caters to someone else other than me for a living now
Cry about it
Love how Jerk Douglas is always making coomers seethe because he outright refuses to draw any kind of porn whatsoever. Makes him immune to this.
It's tough out there. Money is money, and no one is getting hurt.
After reading such a beautiful and concise takedown I actually kinda feel bad for him now.
But soon... soon it's the EnnuiGo guy's time.
Coom spells doom.
Ennui Go's artist draws porn? Last I checked he was just making a tabletop game
Yeah, there's masses of uncensored pages on their Patreon. Good luck finding them off though
Ennui go has been doing porn for years, and it hasn't dipped into degenerate fetishes at all.
>and it hasn't dipped into degenerate fetishes at all.
You mean the weird balloon people is just bad art and not a fetish?
Sounds like you just don't like the art. That's a you problem.
Didn't Doc start going LESS lewd stuff in ennuigo?
That comic is going in reverse.
What I'm gathering is that coomers are more likely to pay for the content/art they want while fart huffers want everything for free. Things might be a little different if the fart huffers cared enough to outbid the coomers or at the very least attempt to help put food on the table for the artists.
There is nothing wrong with being a coomer
The MIA author always puts his fetishes in his work at it looks great
*SNIFF
What the hell is the sun supposed to smell like anyways?
Like a hot rock on a summer day or something?
Imagine seething this much over some person on the internet.
I would never charge for my art. Doing it for money would remove the fun of it.
Why coomers have such standards? The art of whoever that fricks is in OP is shit. I would never even consider spending my money on shit art.
Because when you have very few people who do the thing you like, you're probably more willing to pay for it unlike regular vanilla normies who have billions of people of varying quality and styles who put their shit out for less than pennies. Thats the basic concept at least.
So its either stop being a degenerate coomer, or pay up to get your fix anyway you can.
vanillagays and prudes are broke homies or just cheap don't get mad when the guy with the pancake fetish can pay for shit
>Cinemaphile despises people who can draw
Not only people who can draw, Cinemaphile hates proactive people.
Can't be more than /ic/
>read fetish webcomic
>art's a little weird at first but it hits the right buttons so no big
>backlash to an out-of-place non-con scenario creates opportunity for character development that makes the story all the better
>then it veers a little too hard into plot territory even for your "plot with porn" liking and swamps itself with worldbuilding infodump upon worldbuilding infodump
>returns to fetishy goodness after the anime bullshit arc is done
>teases a new plotline only to meander to the point of forgetting about it multiple times
>previously hanging plot thread returns and becomes the new focus of the story
>luckily it's more fetish stuff so that's all well and good
>except you decided to restart reading the comic so you could fully appreciate the course it's taken all over again, warts and all
>tumblr porn ban and wish-washiness towards reposting on the author's part make it impossible to continue on top of your intrinsic procrastination
>not to mention new comics being Patreon-exclusive
>author's other comics are either too fast-paced, too vague in what's going on, or go literally nowhere after a single strip
>pic related would be (and is) so much better without the John Oliver-level explaining of the joke above the panels
>author ODing on meds in a 40% suicide attempt and a request to the only other person you know who reads it to stop sharing new material with you in an effort to stay spoiler-free leaves its present fate a complete unknown
>real shame, a BDSM webcomic about latex-wearing lesbians sounds like fun
Life's tough for a Collar6 fan like me.
