You know those awful dark simpsons on youtube? I recently discovered they were originally hated by everyone, but the guy used bots and now theyre popular. It has to be the same deal for so much of this shit, including the comic in OP.

A big issue with these comics is they go on too long. We dont need that last panel. WE GOT IT.

Just for fun, I looked up relatable comics on Google to see when I'll find a comic that has an odd number of panels. The grand total was 32 images later.

Maybe it wasnt a result of them understanding humor, but being lazy af. That drawing of a pile of clothes. Jesus.
Since when do computers fix or layout networking architectures themselves. Only reason you don't dress up in that job is because you're either climbing through ceilngs or crawling under dusty shit to lay out cables.
Cut out half of this and you have a acceptably cute and silly comic.
I tried. Probably could have cut another panel or two for the sake of better composition, but eh.

A lot of guys have beards, you just notice it on these ones because they follow the fashion to a T and don't question why
It's like asking why the girls usually have a very similar "quirky" sense of style
It's lets them look "manly" while also making the rest of the look completely unthreatening. It's like adding a spiked collar to a neutered Pomeranian.

I am convinced most Cinemaphile posters are severely autistic and incapable of interpreting something they think is dumb
Yes its a bad comic but you should have zero trouble understanding what she's trying to say
>I am convinced most Cinemaphile posters are severely autistic
I think they're just a combination of poorly socialised and angry. If they were less wilfully stupid it'd be harder to complain about things.
This one needs a little more exaggeration to make the point. The first panel is off to a good start, but you could further into ridiculousness by having the hair coil around her legs of just trail off into the distance Rapunzel style. The second shouldn't be a normal haircut at all - maybe do the Charlie Brown thing and have one single squiggle of hair.
Problem is, the artist has fallen into the female comedian trap of "I want to insult myself for a punchline, but I dare not go too far or boys won't want to kiss me or sign up for my onlyfans anymore."
This, it's the female desire to constantly vet all her quirks and faults to make sure they're presentable and curate the discussion surrounding her
If you let people form their own opinions about your flaws they might not be desirable >Oh becky she has small breasts haha it makes her look like some kinda ugly gremlin
Whereas if you hit them to the punch first and psyop "Oh becky has small breasts haha it's so cute and charming and girly", THAT'LL be the new narrative
People realized they don't have to be funny or interesting if they can make some "wholesome" that others will smile at for one second and then immediately forget about

i once heard a saying
women cry most honestly in private, because they have nothing to gain
men cry most honestly in public, because they can no longer hold back
Weakness became strength after WW2. The idea not following the Nazi example and putting down the Japs and Germans down like dogs was a step above following their example and not shitting on them like WW1.
The shift in zeitgeist might be things moved away from the world is hell and its a better deal after death. You can shit til your dead or you can clean things up and make your own heaven.

It’s because the world is trying to decide what’s evil with these cartoon villains but it’s run by Satan. It’s cool to have unrepentant villains, but the truth is that evil can exist in the hearts of men everywhere and they’re sick of being brow beaten by others who are objectively worse.
It’s no good being an incel, but inceldom is a reaction to women fricking over the population, which in itself is a reaction to the population getting weaker and becoming more complacent in their sins.

Anon you're arguing with a woman, let me remind you that hundreds and thousands of women relate to female villains all the time

Ok. But I’m still interested in discussing the philosophical implications of identifying with a villain.
It’s human to identify with one. A good story suggests why you shouldn’t but a great one still does and explains why the villain’s outlook was so attractive in the first place. Isn’t that right?
Say for example, Jack Horner. If you have the ability to get everything you want, why wouldn’t you? But at the same time the film implies you won’t be happy if you continue to indulge in your own greed.

Most of your points stand but I can't understand watching a show made by Amazon, with the character cast reminiscent of a video game random character creation, the plot thickness of a puddle, and then identifying with the morally reprehensible antagonist as if he is somehow morally gray and the writers are "secret geniouses actually".

I'm not knowledgeable about Invincible or its fanbase, but usually how it goes with these things is that the characters take on a life of their own within the minds of the fans and they turn it into something more representative of themselves after having found things within the original work that resonate within them, but that requires these people to have functioning brains, and we all know that anybody who deviates too far from you specifically is a one dimensional cartoon character.
NTA, and not a celibate, but it's the same shit as armchair socialists from an outside perspective. A "system" in place has long-since abandoned those people, so naturally they want something where they have a chance at having an advantage over their guaranteed nothing. To the incels' credit though, they do somewhat have a point because of the porn industry and electronic dating turning relaionships into a disposable commodity for women. If a man cannot obtain a family from society, then wanting to serve society is worthless to him.
It's actually from a post apocalypse novel that isn't very good. No one read it, but it wasn't written as a study of civilizations or anything like that, it just sounded cool and now morons post it as fact because they don't know shit about the fall of Rome but they hate gays and want to blame them as weak men.
No one who reposts these comics wants to be awkward or helpless. The whole appeal of these is relating basic moments of awkwardness many people will have and framing it as both something uncomfortable and weird but also common enough that they aren't alone in feeling it.
>Twerking is a common enough occurrence in the average modern woman's life that they can make a #relatable Instagram comic about it as if it's a normal thing

like they cant get proper horny but they still need to appeal to the horny crowd, well butts are simple, not as sexual as genitalia nor as gender specific as something like breasts or muscle, they're perfect

This armchair psychology is so bad I thought the point was libshit shoes being cute and conservatives liking gritty shit was going to suggest conservatives were anti-cute but it leans on sex negative feminism and people hating coomer e-girl pedos with moronic political opinions.
I think it's different where millennials have a "I hate my life type of humour cause the world is going to shit and we will never lead normal lives or buy houses" whereas boomers aren't self aware and blame everything on everyone else, when in reality it was their generation that fricked up the world.
So many boomers have this ability to never learn/grow from their experiences and still blame and act like they are children, just children who own houses and get stuck in their sad lives when they were given everything.
At least millenials are entitled to being fricked over, we have been given the shit end of the stick.
Grandpa probably told jokes about 'wife bad'.
Periods are the most significant biological occurence with women's bodies through most of their lives. And they make up 50% of the population. Surely it would come up at some point.
What these kinds of "relatable" comics made me realize is that there are entire networks of creators and audiences that are wildly successful and popular by all metrics and yet never cross over into what most people here seem to think of as "the industry." There are people out there catering to their own large audiences that never intersect with the interests here. It's a good reminder that places like here, Twitter, or even Reddit are nowhere near representative of normalgays and instead represent a smaller group with a higher level of internet brain rot.

>Hours of nobody aknowlading his dogshit bait attempt he finally decides to respond to himself in hopes to getting the ball rollint
How cute
It's not working
Well there's not a lot to talk about with this one. He isn't even blaming anyone for the inflation, just saying it's there and it sucks. Which, i mean, it is and does.
The inflation line is running out of steam because even right leaning finance magazines are starting to say it's not just a mechanic of inflation, it's a product of prices going up across the board to ensure major corporations remain more profitable than the last quarter. It's an issue of reliance on stock prices. You can call it corporate greed because it is, but it's also our retirements being tied to 401Ks. That's not inflation, that's workers and consumers being increasingly burdered to keep the system afloat.
Yeah the CPI has only gone up like 20-30% over the last 4 years but food prices have gone up ten times that. The target audience for newspaper opinion cartoons aren't going to know the difference though.
It's not so much newspapers or their audiences, it's the fact that neolibs left right and center believe the free market keeps prices low. And that can be true for a moment; a service gets streamlined and marketed to a wide audience as cheaper than what competitors provide and then once they have foothold and competition is on its way out, they increase prices. It's actually easier to understand increase prices as a product of a want or increased profit than it is to comprehend inflation, we're just propagandized and fed news that discourages that thinking.
>Do people make money making these comics?
They get Twitter likes at least. >Is there a reason for it to be this generic?
Both Twitter's format and people's short attention spans (the former encourages the latter) make "gag-a-day" strips about "relatable" situations the most successful format, so why bother with anything more ambitious?
These type of comics serve the same purpose as newspaper comics i.e. inoffensive filler by design. Most of the criticism towards them is what people have been saying about comics like Family Circus for decades.
Why not? It's the same thing as "what's the deal with airline food?". It's the same as the comics people post on Cinemaphile where the punchline is "jews are evil" or "Black person love watermelon". The joke in all cases is "LOL, I relate to this. I feel validated as a member of this target audience."
>It's the same as the comics people post on Cinemaphile where the punchline is
No it's not the same because the comic in the OP literally does not have a punchline. Please explain the fricking punchline of that comic if I'm wrong then.
Neither do my other examples by reasonable standards. Note that even good comedy doesn't always require a punchline. In both the comics I'm talking about, though, the "humour" comes from recognition that the author agrees with you, confirmation that you share certain experiences and values with a group. It's more psychologically akin to laughing in relief than to the bait-and-switch of a classical punchline. Another place you see it a lot is when children bully each other: calling someone names for looking or acting different isn't funny per se, but picking on the loser kids IS funny, not because kids are sadists but because it reaffirms their place with the in-crowd. Oh-so-relatable comics are the more benign flip side of the same phenomenon.

I think it's more like they like feeling like they're part of something because they can't openly support ideas bases on their aggrevied homicidal memes. Chudjacks are based off the El Paso mall shooter who went there to kill brown people. There is no proper way to support that, so they can only post in memes with just enough irony to provide deniability to everyone, even themselves, as they would like to think what they post and think rightfully alienates them and dooms them to loneliness.

I'm saying other people do way less. Studying the memetics of ugly postmodern relatable misanthropic memes posted by people who hate postmodernism, love classical beauty, and hate relatable comics is useful because you can help to understand why its effective and how it happens.
It's like they're activists trying to be nihilists. They want the feeling of engagement and opposition without the responsibility of research and argumentation. It's all feelings because research and argumentation are against them. Even if they find something they honestly see as good evidence, the next step is to publicly advocate. Given that they're obsessed with killing trannies and goblinos and post themselves as a chud mass shooter, they would never want to speak honestly about what they want. So they need to hide behind the irony and absurdity, saying it all while retaining deniability and avoiding even defending their ideas anonymously.

You say that as if you yourself don't see the patterns, anon
We've all seen edgy but this isn't it, this really is a case
>Samegayging with the same tourist meme
Hey, newbie, your earlier posts are 2 minutes apart, and bragging about post cooldown for posts two SECONDS apart just says that you have your phone open and hit reply at the same time.
I kid you not, I've seen worse. This at least has 4 panels and color. I've seen shit like that with just some blob in the middle. Pic related. 64k views, 2800 likes. I still have no idea how to even achieve views in general without buying them.
Anon I cannot, by defenition, be a Shartygay because I have a brain, an IQ above freezing temperature and I am currently responding to you with coherent language and not going into fricking soijak rage attack mode
You've seen the damage that their ideology has done to their brains though, so you should want to avoid emulating their tactics at all costs.
Anon it's because I've seen it that I know this shit must require some predisposition and I cannot emulate it, it's like asking an ant to emulate the behavior of an infected ant, it won't infect it, it can pretend but I'm not pretending
Maybe you don't have the potential to ever be as bad as them, but if they're so bad, that's not a very high bar, right? You should strive not to simply be not as bad as them, but to never even resemble their level of stupidity and intellectual laziness in any way.
The people who like this crap are functionally moronic and never grew up out of elementary school.
Most of them also happen to be voting age and they WILL try to dictate national policies with this mentality.
You're right to be irrationally angry about stuff lie this. Liking Greb is a massive red flag that sails below people's radar.
The "people" who enjoy those have close to no personality and creativity of their own and so they latch onto what's relatable because that's all their minds can naturally process.
It's not a joke. Despite being called funnies, daily comic often just include things that must often happen. Seeing it's a common enough experience and the resulting feeling that comes with it, is amusing.
What makes these "relatable" comics fail for me is that they fail to sell the illusion that the character is actually alive. For me to relate to a character, I have to believe that they have a full life, and that's hard to convey with two-to-four panel gag-a-day strips.
The frick are you talking about? You've misunderstood even the basics of a memoir which I need to assume you're thinking these short comics are supposed to he. Holy shit, this site makes you moronic.
I'm calling you moronic for not understanding the concept of the genre. If the comic is about pushing when the door says pull, it doesn't matter how real or living the characters are. They can be skeletons or squares, looking like a moron by failing to notice instructions happens and you don't need fully fleshed out and realized characters from a long running series to do that. You don't even need four panels. You can take as many or as few as you want, the relatable feeling and vicarious embarrassment is still there.
I understand it, I just don't like them. They're relatable in the sense that some of the things that they go through are things that I go through, but the characters themselves are hard to connect to because they're not fully formed characters. A more advanced comic series can have these "relatable moments" sprinkled in while having developed believable characters, which I think does the job much better. >But these people don't care about artistic ambition, they just want to make tweets in drawn form.
Ok, I can't stop them from doing that, but I don't have to respect them as artists. I don't know why they'd need my approval anyway when they have thousands of fans who do like them.
The fact that a skeleton or a square could frick up opening a door doesn't need further background, the fact that absurd things also do something we do is more meaningful than a long narrative where someone fricks up the door.
I get it, if the intelligence of the character is more understood by the reader, the fact that they don't open the door correctly could be funnier. But then snarky anons say you spent 10 panels telling a joke that could be done in two.
>they fail to sell the illusion that the character is actually alive.
This continues to be dumb. So dumb you aren't defending it, you clarified it to mean something different.

>The fact that a skeleton or a square could frick up opening a door doesn't need further background,
But I personally need something more than "hey guys, look, you're not the only one in the world to frick up a door" to consider something to be a good work of art. >I get it, if the intelligence of the character is more understood by the reader, the fact that they don't open the door correctly could be funnier. But then snarky anons say you spent 10 panels telling a joke that could be done in two.
Because different people have different tastes. >This continues to be dumb. So dumb you aren't defending it, you clarified it to mean something different.
Do I need to use the exact same wording to describe something every time I'm describing it in order for you to recognize that I'm describing the same thing? I assume that I don't and you're just being disingenuous.

>"hey guys, look, you're not the only one in the world to frick up a door"
That's not what is being said or implied by these comics. It's not to feel more secure about it when it happens, it's that you already know it's something that happens and it figures that anywhere there are push and pull doors, it's going to happen.
You're not describing the same thing >A more advanced comic series can have these "relatable moments" sprinkled in while having developed believable characters, which I think does the job much better
Is describing a different genre.
Also you're failing to understand how the more fleshed out and realized a character is, the less relatable they become. The same goes for the settling. That is unless the person in question happens to reflect you more specifically by happenstance.
We likely wouldn't be having this conversation, I wouldn't likely have been so angry, if you didn't initially call simple format comic abstraction a failing. It's like saying the walking sign guy fails to be effective as a sign because the design is simple and lifeless when the simplicity is functional and more life would distract from the point and be unnecessary. You're telling the sign would be better if you have a better understanding of stick guy and his motives.

This is kind of getting off topic, but I think that eliciting a sense of relief through solidarity is the intention of these artists and is a reason for the popularity of these comics. >>A more advanced comic series can have these "relatable moments" sprinkled in while having developed believable characters, which I think does the job much better >Is describing a different genre.
I know that, and I like that genre better. >Also you're failing to understand how the more fleshed out and realized a character is, the less relatable they become. The same goes for the settling. That is unless the person in question happens to reflect you more specifically by happenstance.
Maybe for some people, but for other people, a fleshed out character who has a lot of differences from them but some similarities is easier to connect to than a character who is barely defined but doesn't have any major differences. >We likely wouldn't be having this conversation, I wouldn't likely have been so angry, if you didn't initially call simple format comic abstraction a failing.
I outright said that they fail for me, explicitly telling you that this was about my personal taste and not representative of everyone's taste. >It's like saying the walking sign guy fails to be effective as a sign because the design is simple and lifeless when the simplicity is functional and more life would distract from the point and be unnecessary. You're telling the sign would be better if you have a better understanding of stick guy and his motives.
The point of walking signs isn't to elicit an emotional reaction, and it isn't being passed off as a work of art, so nobody judges it as a work of art.

You described abstraction as a failure and put an expectation that is counter to what the genre is. It's not a failure because it was never a goal. You can say you don't like the genre as you're saying now, but initially you had framed the lack of scares and gory death in a romcom as a failure of those movies.
Also abstraction is what can make something more relatable, like the walking stick figure. The more detail and "life" something has, the less you can see yourself in them as they are their own separate things specifically meant to be them. That doesn't mean you can't relate to them, it's just harder as they have more factors for you to never be able to relate to.
>For me to relate to a character, I have to believe that they have a full life,
This is just untrue. You can have a preference, you can call cartooning and comics shallow, but what you're saying relying not on taste but weird expectation for a medium and genre. Sometimes the goal is just to show you where you can walk. Sometimes it's quick little comics about a situation. Sometimes it's fully realized characters representing niche demographics that you may or may not relate to, but find interesting or entertaining all the same.

That might be the case, and I get that the context is "fails for me" and then goes into "fails to create the illusion of life". If there is a neurological issue here, it should be stated because this would be one so big it would need to be disclosed before opinions like these so there's a better understanding what's going on.

You can't get away with saying this when anybody can just scroll up and see that I said "fails for me" in my very first post, establishing from the very beginning that I was talking about my personal tastes. >Also abstraction is what can make something more relatable, like the walking stick figure. You're saying that I might have neurological issues for not relating to comics in the same way you do. I could accuse the same thing of you, or accuse you of having them due to your intolerance of differing viewpoints, or your gratuitous aggression.

Instead of saying that techno should have a woodwind section and the genre fails there for you, you should say you like classical with some synth.
As a peace offering: You should Read Azumanga Daioh. It's slice of life with little relatable moments. Or maybe you can't relate because they're Japanese high school girls. Either way, it's a series of short comics with characters who get the chance to be "full of life" individually.
Or just read any blobby slice of life American tumblr comic since it's the same characters over and over based off boring things the boring people do. They're real, living, mundane. Does get morenl full of life than that but I have a feeling you were somehow being contrarian to that. I don't know.
This one is good, it's a past history of the artist and things that happen to her, even unpleasant and gross stuff involving a boyfriend
Best time to do art, honestly

>Instead of saying that techno should have a woodwind section and the genre fails there for you, you should say you like classical with some synth.
If, going with this analogy, the techno was made with the purpose of eliciting a specific emotional reaction within me and it didn't, but classical with some synth did succeed at eliciting that particular response, I don't think it's too unreasonable for me to say that the techno fails for me and then explain why the classical with synths doesn't. If I started telling other people that their emotional responses are invalid because they're different from mine, that would be unreasonable of me. I'll put your recommendations in my backlog.

That's fair, you were talking about an emotion, but the feeling of relating is accomplished by abstraction. If abstraction wasn't what you're needing and you were needing long form and "living" things, you would show an appreciation for the quirky slice of life comics.
I'm sorry for being an butthole, I just found that initial framing frustrating and hard to understand, not because I don't get that people can not like gag a day and perform long form comics, but that "full of life" isn't an apt descriptor and that you provided no examples.
So I'm sorry. If you're still following the thread, what do you like what fits within your tastes. Is it really just that problem genre?
What do you think if journal entries? A journal entry can be short and like one of these comics, but they are very relatable even when it's just "drank some water and it made me feel healthier than I actually am". It's even more relatable the less known the author is.
You can still be a chad while still having nerdy hobbies. It's mostly how you engage with it. If your entire personality is "I engage with [brand]" then you fail.
>women should have self respect and not regret not being a prostitute
Yes >men should have interests beyond consoom the latest thing, support the latest thing

Yes
>Also where's peach mom?
Nope. I'm sure Cinemaphile in no way relates to some b***h complaining about doing menial labor while someone else who is more successful, good looking, and more outgoing does all the housework while financially supporting them. No siree
>half the thread are paragraphs of text complaining about ꜱoyjaks
They're goofy, the edits are funny and they never fail to produce copious amounts of seethe, I like them.
>half the thread are paragraphs of text complaining about ꜱoyjaks

They're the 2016+7 version of pepes but more boring and cringe
Frog stamp colledting was based and fun. SJ collecting is weak and thinblooded
Unless this is some kind of inside joke its pretty damn bad. There's absolutely no point nor humor in it. It's like drawing a comic about a chef chopping a carrot for 3 frames and then saying something like :"I like chopping carrots because their better than potatoes". It's so fricking pointless and mundane, like it was made by an autist or ai.
the general quality of entertainment in the western-dominated world is piss poor and has been by design since the 1940s, I won't bore you with meaningless terms (or terms that have become meaningless by overuse from idiots who only repeat what they heard in an endless game of telephone from concrete idea to idiotic regurgitations) but the simple history is during the 1600s the King of England got scammed by early Ponzi schemers called the Virginia Company. This colonizing endeavor was a shit show, plagued with greedy oversight, they hired morons, pirates, idiots, drunks, and the famous. But, due to starvation and desperation, they also needed to hire 'real' workmen to do actual work, like carpentry or forging metal and these were the Polish, the Germans, the Finnish and many others which were less stupid, less destructively greedy, and less insane. Eventually, America became a strange back and forth between psychotic extremism and pragmatic utilitarianism that tried to make the budding nation a 'melting pot' of no distinct culture beyond a 'free economy of ideas'. So what is 'capitalism'? Started out as a confidence game, a scam, often on the rich, to promise infinite return but purposefully engineer failure so that more and more money is needed to fix it, the 'effort justification fallacy' that rules the world to this day.
If you're a slave you just run away. If you're a peasant or serf you abandon your loyalty to the lord first chance you see to make more from your life, but if you are allowed enough time to perfect your craft you will successively allow your labor to be sold for less and less money over time in desperation to be seen.
Learn a trade, that's a lot of time you spent and dedication to making something good, you want other people to show they appreciate it so you accept pittances and work for 'exposure' and you also begin to pander to their every idiotic request designed to make your work suck so they can undersell you more.
Hitler and Mussolini wrote big ass books calling what they were up to 'fascism' or 'national socialism' or what not, pages and pages of NONSENSE. In hindsight it's obvious from their actions they were looters, bandits, brigands, buttholes with rat line to Argentina. It doesn't matter they SAID they were trying to 'save' a nation and their people from imaginary threats, what they DID was rape, pillage, and act like your bog-standard warlords of any epoch.
Now think hard about 'capitalism' and realize it's the same. A lot of mindless drivel and arguments and principles and nonsensical 'trickle down' bullshit all trying to hide their actual goal: MLMs, scams, Ponzi schemes, the fricking Spanish Prisoner, these are soft racket confidence tricksters, they set up a summerhouse gambling establishment modeled after early French and Italian casinos and called it 'the stock market'. What they do is scam, it doesn't really matter what they call themselves or how they rationalize it. You buy the bullshit story and you get ripped off your whole fricking life or you don't and live free.
>knowing what you want 60 years from now
I've stopped making predictions for myself for like 5 years down the line, I'm impressed if she actually commits to this to her 80s
They truly have no idea about the depths of regret a childless 70-year-old feels, do they? You know that scene in LOTR where Theoden buries his son and barely contains completely breaking down? Imagine that but you don't have a shieldmaiden daughter and no happy memories from your kid's childhood to cling to (and a thought of afterlife with them).
I cannot imagine greater horror than seeing your body slowly fail with nobody left to care for you.
The performative bewilderment in these threads is like how religious boomers see anyone wearing a super hero t-shirt as an idol worshipper seduced by a pagan religion. It requires a disconnect that would be harder to achieve it weren't purposeful and convenient.
>Anon discovers normalgay
First day on earth, eh champ? You'll get used to it
You know those awful dark simpsons on youtube? I recently discovered they were originally hated by everyone, but the guy used bots and now theyre popular. It has to be the same deal for so much of this shit, including the comic in OP.
i think the average person IS a robot, that's why most of them can't tell this shit apart, they operate like fricking AI
You discovered how most things became "popular", congratulations.

>"artist" cope thread
Can we pleeeeease have a "cringy normie comic thread" that doesn't devolve into politishit just this once? please? i know homosexuals are still gotta master bait post but can we please ignore em and just have a funny thread? for christmas? just this once?
Im chokin on my own rage here. What the FRICK is the joke? You wear different clothes at home?
The joke is "aren't I quirky?"
Go easy on these people they're handicapped in the personality department, this is all they have
Is this a comic about menstruation?
It’s actually about unbabtised Womens demonic urges.
Yes.
>anons just mad they dont have a biological function that they can complain about
Kek
I don't think comics about random erections in public have mass appeal
Cinemaphile is that abusive parent that you live with but can't leave because you're "not ready."
The joke is "I'm put together in public, but I'm a slob in the comfort of my home." It's relatable to those that have jobs.
i have a job and have a hard time relating to those morons.
NGL, I have to move around in a suit in my job so I kind of relate.
You just like, don't get it! Anon!
I'm assuming this is from Instagram or some shit and the artist got a reasonable haircut.
Jesus.
Reminds me of the poop scissors or poop bag people
the what
You never owned a poop knife or poop scissors?
Don't tell me you also did never own a fingerbox
Just poop in the shower. Give er the ol waffle stomp.
Welcome to Shanenigansen, butthole still has fans.
IT isnt a job
Since when do computers fix or layout networking architectures themselves. Only reason you don't dress up in that job is because you're either climbing through ceilngs or crawling under dusty shit to lay out cables.
>moron
I am not a moron!
>The joke is "I'm put together in public, but I'm a slob in the comfort of my home."
THATS NOT A JOKE
>neopets.jpg
My homie
>tfw u never had a petpet or petpetpet
Cut out half of this and you have a acceptably cute and silly comic.
I tried. Probably could have cut another panel or two for the sake of better composition, but eh.
It is if you're a normie and you have a vested interest in seeming normal to the point that innocuous things like "wearing frumpy clothes in the privacy if your own home" seems subversive and comical. That's the whole point of the thread.
I did this as a joke but I dunno I kinda like it.
We should play a classic game of "how many panels you can remove from a comic to improve it"
C+A+D is easy mode
Actually an improvement
Haha, I dunno what the original was, but this one is legit solid.
don't know if rearranging counts, and i used MS Paint, but i tried i guess
I think it's pretty profound
you made it longer more complicated again, the "challenge" was to cut as much as possible and still have it make sense
pretty well done though
it's not just about making it shorter or longer, it's about the timing of the joke
There's no joke. Its just an observation. In public, you have to keep up with appearances. But in private, no one will judge you for being yourself.
it's not a joke it's a slice of life comic
>Im chokin on my own rage here

Sock comfy
Only God and the Doctor should see your toes
This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen someone complain about.
Drinking milk without putting chocolate in it. Black people having lighter coloured skin on their palms.

Not him but I absolutely don't, I live in a hot climate, socks inside the house is uncomfortable
>lives in a cold climate
>wears socks indoors
>lives in a hot climate
>doesn't wear socks indoors

I absolutely cannot stand being barefoot under any circumstances.

i don't think there's any dudeweedlmao implications
but careful saying that on Cinemaphile we have some stoners here and they'll reeeeee until your mom comes home about how it's litchurally impossible and weed never caused anything bad ever in the history of never ever
To this day I despise weed culture. If trump gets elected, he make every drug legal expect weed. Have it carry the death sentence.
I like how when weed became legal, anxiety disorders went way up and nobody knows le why.
That nice OP you should listen to the Duck Song on weed would really change your life
Yea definitely didn't have anything to do with a generation of kids raised on Xanax Adderall SSRI. It surely isn't how interconnected the world is how there's a camera everywhere you need paper work for everything unless your brown and gay. Nothing is quality anymore nothing is produced here anymore except useless opinions like yours and mine. You should write normie comics honestly you got that room temperature feel that makes the special
^ Weed user paranoid about cameras everwhere, while claiming weed doesnt trigger anxiety.
Fricking kek.
you're both right you gays
weed does cause anxiety, but the world is also rotten and so does every aspect of it, that's why people rush to use weed and then suffer even more psychological problems for it
it's an intertwined issue and you're both mega homos
*tips menorah*
Frick off. The Stoner comics thread is over.
why do these kinds of "soft nonthreatening relatable boy" dudes always have beards? is it compensation?
A lot of guys have beards, you just notice it on these ones because they follow the fashion to a T and don't question why
It's like asking why the girls usually have a very similar "quirky" sense of style
in every one of these "wholesome chungus relatable 100" comics with the boyfriend in it, though, he has a beard
I guess the chicks like beards. Hell, I'd grow a beard if I could.
It's lets them look "manly" while also making the rest of the look completely unthreatening. It's like adding a spiked collar to a neutered Pomeranian.
Hiding bad chins lmao.
I grow a full beard but shave the chin area so people know im not hiding anything.
They do it to hide the fact that they either have no chin or have too many chins.
I just really want to know how I can date an artsy girl who’ll make art and comics about our relationship. With how common this sort of thing is you’d think it’d be easier to get into.
Literally everyone has a bears now. I can't understand it, having a beard is so uncomfortable.
It’s to hide their weak, feminine chins and because they’re afraid of razors
>t. can't grow a beard
>t. can’t shave one off
There’s a difference to maintaining a beard and having one to hide your unmanly face
But
His is maintained? It's clean, trimmed, nicely rounded? What's the issue?
Idk why I ask I know you just wanna "ohmahgawshBecky" us about some e-drama
>spoiler
Forget it, I thought I had a good example. Like how despite keeping his beard well groomed, he doesn’t look like he lifts a single day of his life.
But I guess I’m throwing stones in a glass house anyway.
Your problem here is the silly face, not the beard, but you don't strike me as the kind of guy who's confident enough to take selfies anyway.
oh god he looks like a reddit mod
huh?
>hate stubble
>hate shaving
>thus beard
>Literally everyone has a bears now
I don't have any bears.
I'd die trying to get one.
Why is this cringey? Its relatable. But the comic the OP post? Looks like an Elsa Spiderman youtube video in comic form.
This comic is so heckin relatable!
Based.
>Hippie dress
>"Professional"
Says a lot about the mindset of the artist
This post says a fair bit about you too.
That I know what does and doesn't qualify as business attire?
The style is so simple they have nubs for hands, it's the simple shape of a dress. Are you autistic or am I for engaging?
Neither, but if you think that's what a "dress" looks like you might be moronic.
Those dirty hippies and their lack of fingers.
yummy
but how do they look in reality?
>Can we pleeeeease have a "cringy normie comic thread"

That's not even the problem with cutting avocados. The problem is that they'll sit there unripe and hard as a rock for days, then suddenly become full of grey and brown spots the moment they soften up.
>Never had a good avocado or is overweight loser who wastes too much time in the basement to check the fruit before it goes bad
I buy them, and I squeeze them every day until they feel ripe.
>Girls defending tiny dicks
I think shes defending buttholes that arent blown out. Based anti-homosexual comic.
Kelly vibes.
how did avocados join the circle of all things inane and NPC?

She needs to be bigger
>boyfriend before first date

Ted Bundy was the good guy after all.
whoever came up with the theory about npcs mightve been right
If you thought that was engaging, wait till you see pic rel
What the frick does this one even mean? You have long hair before a haircut and short hair after it? Yes, yes you do
Sometimes I think these people only make comics so that they can remind themselves they exist because they're such literal drones that if they don't approve every thought and action with the collective they'll forget how to breathe
I cant find any right now, but some really bad ones are the "what if video games used real logic". So fricking lazy and hack. I think your pic related type of comic is worse tho.
This woman's comics are the most baffling because at least, AT LEAST, most other #relatable comics try to utilize some kinda juxtaposition to attempt a bit of classic comedy, even if it blows big poon
Hers tho? It's just cause and effect
>I wanna cut my hair
>Ok I cutted my hair
>I wanna grow up and wear crop tops
>Ok I'm wearin a crop top
Other than that the only other thing she makes is "me ugly vs other girls pretty" and "how I think I look vs how I actually look" comics, the creativity of which is about as fertile as Hillary Clinton's womb
Its funny because she's calling herself sexy but she's ugly as frick.
That's a boy
No it's clearly not?
>planetprudence
>674k followers on instagram

Is this made by a bot?
She is depicting the common relatable experience of a hairdresser cutting off more hair than expected.
Dont women want short hair now because of feminism or some shit
Until the regret sinks in
I want women to have short hair because late 90s anime and early 00s videogames broke my taste in women, I have no issue with this
I'm amazed how many people don't get it. It's pretty basic
>feel like I have too much hair
>feel like I have too little hair
Well she did a shit job at representing that. There are loads of more creative ways to complain about shitty barbers.
it's stupid, but it's exactly as simple as the other comics. would have to be braindead to miss it
It's bad, bruh.
It doesnt work because women have hair cut that short since a century at the very least. Thats just a normal haircut. Especially today.
Are you moronic? It obviously means that her hair feels too long before the haircut and too short after.
This, it's the female desire to constantly vet all her quirks and faults to make sure they're presentable and curate the discussion surrounding her
If you let people form their own opinions about your flaws they might not be desirable
>Oh becky she has small breasts haha it makes her look like some kinda ugly gremlin
Whereas if you hit them to the punch first and psyop "Oh becky has small breasts haha it's so cute and charming and girly", THAT'LL be the new narrative
Right. Every single time the one on the right.
>guess where my other hand is
>shlick
People realized they don't have to be funny or interesting if they can make some "wholesome" that others will smile at for one second and then immediately forget about
I love Greb comics, frick you.
i wanna know what appeals to these people so much about being awkward and helpless
like is this fulfilling some kinda fetishistic desire to be coddled or something?
You are 1 step closer to understanding women, anon.
i once heard a saying
women cry most honestly in private, because they have nothing to gain
men cry most honestly in public, because they can no longer hold back
Weakness became strength after WW2.
Playing at minimum nets more gain then playing at maximum?
>billions must die.... strong times make hard men.... I mean...
That's literally the Viltrumites iirc.
What's the appeal of viltrumites to you incels?
Mid show btw.
>incels
bait detected, post disregarded, try harder bro we know nobody on Cinemaphile actually uses the word "incel"
I didn't feel like typing it out but here you go.
What's the deal with some young men identifying with evil? It's weird but I can't quite point it out. It's like they're trying to frame these unequivocally evil characters as something "kinda relateable anyone else?" as if identifying with them is the only way to show irreverence towards the world or something.
you're either baiting, in which case you don't deserve my response, or a woman, in which case you don't deserve my response and also post breasts lmao
Noticing and pointing things out within my group doesn't make me anything, homosexual
Anon you're arguing with a woman, let me remind you that hundreds and thousands of women relate to female villains all the time
The only reason anon can't comprehend why males do it is because that requires the ability to understand others having similar intentions despite superficial differences, which a low IQ individual like them struggles with
Yes it is, it's very human, and this childish notion that "you like bad character? You must be bad person!" is unbelievably moronic yet unfortunately evident it the world
>notion that "you like bad character? You must be bad person!" is unbelievably moronic yet unfortunately evident
It gets weird at some point and you should stop pretending that it doesn't. It doesn't take some mass cultural subversion to notice that a lot of people use those characters to 'jokingly' shoehorn ides that don't stand on their own, only trough some semi-ironic 'literally me' meme.
Stop clutching those pearls ma'am I can't get a good view of them breasts
Good one. I'm glad you're imagining women typing out responses you can't argue against.
>but the truth is that evil can exist in the hearts of men everywhere and they’re sick of being brow beaten by others who are objectively worse
I can't really think of anything worse than making your son witness you kill thousands of people for his 'sins'.
Most of your points stand but I can't understand watching a show made by Amazon, with the character cast reminiscent of a video game random character creation, the plot thickness of a puddle, and then identifying with the morally reprehensible antagonist as if he is somehow morally gray and the writers are "secret geniouses actually".
I’m sick of a lot of shows being labeled “secretly genius” looking at you Brick and Mortar and Buckcuck Frickman
I haven’t watched invincible, but that sounds bad. Yet isn’t Darth Vader redeemed even after killing an entire planet?
The whole appeal of these is relating basic moments of awkwardness many people will have and framing it as both something uncomfortable and weird but also common enough that they aren't alone in feeling it.
right when getting home
My daughter has this problem. She gets stuck in her own sweatshirts when she gets ready for bed. She's also four years old. This person is a moron.
Tight clothing + big hair or ponytail + lazily just pulling harder when it gets snagged instead of fixing it.
>4th panel
that's kinda hot
>Twerking is a common enough occurrence in the average modern woman's life that they can make a #relatable Instagram comic about it as if it's a normal thing
I'm amazed at dabbing and twerking's longevity.
It's like seeing someone do the fricking macarena
The joke is she isnt sexually attractive.
would both of them.
The me generation indeed.
I thought women didn't want to be plastic bimbos..
I like the bizarre thousand yard stare she has in all of these, I wonder why she drew herself like that, probably funnier than any of the jokes
i think the most offensive thing about these comics is the fact that these are the same people who insult boomer comics
this is the generation that thinks their shit smells sweeter than grandad's "haha kid click book" joke
at least those have a punchline and some kinda hyperbole, at least those follow comedic writing principles, at least grandad never told "haha that feel when your period comes, amirite?" jokes at the dinner table
The longer you stare at this comic, the worse it gets. The worst detail is her drawing a butt. We get it, le butts are quirky and relatable. c**t.
what IS it with these individuals and BUTTS?
i think it's just a perfect combination of simple humor and allowed horny
like they cant get proper horny but they still need to appeal to the horny crowd, well butts are simple, not as sexual as genitalia nor as gender specific as something like breasts or muscle, they're perfect
That logic makes sense. Safe sexualization.
They are also allowed to draw sexualized women if its in an "expectations" panel.
The biggest offense is the last panel. How he FRICK does her neck bend like that!?
what? it's really not that odd, she's just bending down and looking to the side
it only looks weird because her face has no dimension and perpetually exists in 2D space but without any charm or stylization, everything just looks like mush
Not that anon but i really dont get it either. Why is she suddenly wearing a turtleneck? I dont see it at all.
she's not that's her shirt
look the head is the round part and the little notch under it is the next bending into the rest of the body
......i still dont see it, but i'll move on.
Where are her feet supposed to be?
>mfw he unsheathes his wiener
I just had an anyeurism
Any photos of what this couple looks like
Gross
She's cute though?
"She" identifies as "they" whatever the frick that implies.
Why do you think I care thoughever
They are cute.
She also identifies as bi. I feel like she's vaguely queer, meaning she probably isn't going to fight to death over the label.
they're british
>haha we're childless
this is humorous but not in the way they intend
She redrew it recently
the butt looks worse
The whole thing got worse
>I'll sit on you
Now the artist missed a face sitting joke.
I'm stealing this thanks anon
This one is scrappy and looks like Great Value K.C. Green.
This one is more competently put together, but still pretty bland
Her anatomy in the last panel is really throwing me off
She looks like a severed head placed between a pair of legs
>I'll sit on you
>Doesn't sit on his face and frick his face raw.
Listen mate, if you've a girlfriend, you've two options.
1. Motorboat breasts when you are stressed.
2. Get your face sat on and motorboat ass when you are stressed.

>posts Cinemaphile character on Cinemaphile
>no you can't post Cinemaphile character on Cinemaphile
Listen buddy, but since I put 20K towards letting the show exist, I have the right to post my favorite character wherever and whenever I want. Don't particularly care about your politics, or your opinions. Keep your Tumblr mindset and your wallet empty you ignorant bigot whose brain to mouth highway has no filter for assumed bigotry and moronation.
NTA, but anyone who uses any form of ">how dare you post a Cinemaphile character/show on Cinemaphile" is probably not worth reading.
>people are actually getting enraged at this shit
>mad about the softest, most inoffensive nothing in the world
I bet Heathcliff makes you want to shoot up your school or something.
>Anon doesn't understand hyperbole
>heh, I was merely pretending
Even then any amount of anger or annoyance over something so stupidly innocent is gay and moronic.
NTA btw.
Ham is pretty sus
I actually like Heathcliff comics
>people are actually getting enraged at this shit
They're not, they're just feigning it because they think getting viscerally mad at normie webcomics is how you delineate that you are not a normie yourself.
Soft nothings piss me off.
If you have nothing to say, don't waste my time.
You gotta understand, Anon:
The people that b***h about cute, wholesome, inoffensive, interesting comics are the saddest fricking friendless loser virgins of the world that'll most likely delete themselves IRL this Christmas.
It's so inoffensive it wraps back around to being very offensive.
>folx that get mad about cute shit
Wait a minute…
This armchair psychology is so bad I thought the point was libshit shoes being cute and conservatives liking gritty shit was going to suggest conservatives were anti-cute but it leans on sex negative feminism and people hating coomer e-girl pedos with moronic political opinions.
Cute aggression?
?feature=shared
God I want Season 2 to be dubbed already!
no humor =/= anti-humor
Those comics were behind paywalls. People bought them with money.
why should you or I care
I think it's different where millennials have a "I hate my life type of humour cause the world is going to shit and we will never lead normal lives or buy houses" whereas boomers aren't self aware and blame everything on everyone else, when in reality it was their generation that fricked up the world.
So many boomers have this ability to never learn/grow from their experiences and still blame and act like they are children, just children who own houses and get stuck in their sad lives when they were given everything.
At least millenials are entitled to being fricked over, we have been given the shit end of the stick.
You're an idiot
Grandpa probably told jokes about 'wife bad'.
Periods are the most significant biological occurence with women's bodies through most of their lives. And they make up 50% of the population. Surely it would come up at some point.
>Pesto was sat on me but you missed it.
Honestly, the current one is an improvement but there's a weird sort of charm the original has that I can't really explain.
good...I have another low effort way to troll you incel snowflakes
start with more believable bait, el gaygino
What these kinds of "relatable" comics made me realize is that there are entire networks of creators and audiences that are wildly successful and popular by all metrics and yet never cross over into what most people here seem to think of as "the industry." There are people out there catering to their own large audiences that never intersect with the interests here. It's a good reminder that places like here, Twitter, or even Reddit are nowhere near representative of normalgays and instead represent a smaller group with a higher level of internet brain rot.

These are shockingly bad. Like, it's already a terrible genre of webcomic, but this distills it into a putrid essence. It almost feels like satire.
Having 6 watermarks doesn't help.
>Looked up Patreon

Are you 12? That’s not much money at all. Basic busking money.
The point is that it's wildly disproportionate to what's being delivered.
Give me $6000. To you it's not much money and you say I can busk for it, so give it to me. $6000. Paypal or bitcoin?
This type of gimme gimme mentality is why you're a poorgay.

it's like a step below Pusheen. at least Pusheen has cute art.
Genuinely just start making your own. It’s better than drawing your character in the white void for the hundredth time,
Everyone says my job is interesting. I wonder if I can make some shit comics based off that.
I did but I haven't posted it yet.

this comic suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkks holy frick it's like someone spent three years taking a fine arts course and specialty classes studying Franco-Belgian greats only to take the OPPOSITE LESSONS from all that fricking effort and study.

I laughed at how dumb it was with all the trademarks. There are more trademarks than panels, and it can easily be removed too
Do people make money making these comics? Is there a reason for it to be this generic?
>Do people make money making these comics?
They get Twitter likes at least.
>Is there a reason for it to be this generic?
Both Twitter's format and people's short attention spans (the former encourages the latter) make "gag-a-day" strips about "relatable" situations the most successful format, so why bother with anything more ambitious?
True. Please rate my comic's artistic value made in MS paint since I didn't want to use my Ipad.

Man this blows. Western comics is all capeslop or the adventures of lazy sodomites, sometimes both. And all the cool webcomics die in two years.
You're on thin fricking ice bud
These type of comics serve the same purpose as newspaper comics i.e. inoffensive filler by design. Most of the criticism towards them is what people have been saying about comics like Family Circus for decades.
Never understood why people found these funny

Nice blog
Oh-so-relatable comics are the more benign flip side of the same phenomenon.
>leftist fails to understand jokes

So many experts in female psychology on Cinemaphile, you guys must get all the ladies

Incels hate women, but covet femininity.

most of these fricking suck, give me boomer comics instead
This shit is genuinely funny, there's a solid punchline, I would personally just trim it up a bit to remove the line about getting offended because implications are funnier than saying it outright

It's okay if you're a shut-in who's never touched a booby, but you have to be 18 to post here.
Of all the arguments he implied in that post, this is the one you pick out? It's the most objectively true one
It isn't, though. When the urge gets bad enough, people will have sex with anything no matter how ugly it is. And even if you, personally, assert that you wouldn't, there are a thousand other men that would.
Humans have advanced to the point where propegation no longer has anything to do with our survival. We're not rabbits.
I didn't say it was objectively correct, just that it was the most so out of the things he implied. Way better things to dunk on in his post is all
Sorry, I couldn't understand the rest because I'm not a moronic incel.
It's not even objectively correct. When it comes down to the matter of survival, animals will have sex regardless of physical attraction. moron.
A woman cared enough to make a comic about it.

"Normal" people like big number. If something have big number attached, all non-playable characters will categorize it as good. This is their programming, they can't help it please understand. That's why it's important for playable characters to not use number exploits or it breaks the game for everyone

explain to me, give me a good fricking reason, right now, why mods can't site-wide ban soijaks the same way they do ponies or furries
it's arguably more cancerous, i mean literally, they're like a tomor, you can't get rid of em and they spread like a disease and kill threads
>it's arguably more cancerous
It's not. That's why, it's been explained to you now. They're remarkably stupid but they aren't comparable to ponies or furries back in the day.
So I know several people recently began noticing how soijak posters behave like a cult right? I mean whenever they start shitting up a thread they literally all act the same exact way
>Post soijaks
>Feel threatened, begin randomly quoting posts but never including the post numbers because I guess Sharty users think (you)s are upvotes?
>The soijak they use gets more and more random and esoteric
>They're particularly attracted to the strange, grotesque and quickly flashing, everything that moves really fast is appealing to them
>They don't leave, once a thread is contaminated they'll stick with it till it archives
This is like the effects of a goddamn fictional virus, could this be classed as a case of Mass Psychogenic Illness?
I think it's more like they like feeling like they're part of something because they can't openly support ideas bases on their aggrevied homicidal memes. Chudjacks are based off the El Paso mall shooter who went there to kill brown people. There is no proper way to support that, so they can only post in memes with just enough irony to provide deniability to everyone, even themselves, as they would like to think what they post and think rightfully alienates them and dooms them to loneliness.
It's just extremely effective propaganda, whoever wrote this has been driven just as mad by the soijaks as the people who post them.
Being driven by madness to study as disease is nowhere near the same as being driven by madness as a result of the disease's effects on their brain
If it starts making you suffer from crazy delusions as if you're infected by the disease, it is.
What delusions? Unless you're referring to this big ol metaphor in which case let me introduce you to the concept of comedic hyperbole
That's exactly what a shartygay would say in their defense.
Anon I cannot, by defenition, be a Shartygay because I have a brain, an IQ above freezing temperature and I am currently responding to you with coherent language and not going into fricking soijak rage attack mode
No, I would say being so assblasted that you make headcanons out of frequency bias is more mindbrokne than posting a meme.
>posting a meme
please say newbie, please please PLEEEEEASE say you think "soijaks are just a meme" because you're a newbie and that's it
because if not then holy moly my Black person ravioli
>please please PLEEEEEASE say you think "soijaks are just a meme"
Okay. They're just a meme. I remember when they were called "feels guy."
My god, grow a pair and knock off this tumblrina "oh wow I really can't believe like you have an opposing opinion LOL i can't even" schtick.
You really are a newbie arentcha
I accept your concession.
But it's used by people who bemoan "relatable" comics and postmodernism while championing aesthetics and classical beauty. The irony and hypocrisy wouldn't be an issue if it were truly irreverent, but there are real feelings and ideas involved.
True, it still doesn't make this a sci-fi plot about humanity fighting against an insect hive mind.
I don't see why not. Grand narratives about mind viruses and social contagion get taken seriously for less. People already seethe in paragraphs about people posting pictures of weed with their cereal and Rick and Morty so why not.
"Other people do it" is an explanation for why you might do something, but it's not a very good explanation for why you should do something.
I'm saying other people do way less. Studying the memetics of ugly postmodern relatable misanthropic memes posted by people who hate postmodernism, love classical beauty, and hate relatable comics is useful because you can help to understand why its effective and how it happens.
And it should also teach you what thought patterns you might want to avoid.
We've all seen edgy but this isn't it, this really is a case
they're bots, anon.
I don't know how popular this is, but it's cute I guess?

Hey, newbie, your earlier posts are 2 minutes apart, and bragging about post cooldown for posts two SECONDS apart just says that you have your phone open and hit reply at the same time.
You need to go back.

Hmmmm....
Cooldown timer, tard. Cope and seethe.
I kid you not, I've seen worse. This at least has 4 panels and color. I've seen shit like that with just some blob in the middle. Pic related. 64k views, 2800 likes. I still have no idea how to even achieve views in general without buying them.
there's no fricking way you bawds are currently defending soijaks as if they're on the same level as any form of art, this shit is a fricking anomaly
Please reply to the post defending soijaks.
And yet I am fascinated by them, this is a study, anon, I'm not making a moral statement about them I'm simply curious
Hopefully you will come out of this study wiser than you are now.
If my curiosity is sated I will be happy
The people who like this crap are functionally moronic and never grew up out of elementary school.
Most of them also happen to be voting age and they WILL try to dictate national policies with this mentality.
You're right to be irrationally angry about stuff lie this. Liking Greb is a massive red flag that sails below people's radar.
I'd rather have them voting than moronic frog posters.
Is it bad if I think that pic is genuinely funny?
I just personally don't understand how "OMG SO RELATABLE" is a joke unless if the joke itself is an over the top subversion of these types of comics.
The "people" who enjoy those have close to no personality and creativity of their own and so they latch onto what's relatable because that's all their minds can naturally process.
It's not a joke. Despite being called funnies, daily comic often just include things that must often happen. Seeing it's a common enough experience and the resulting feeling that comes with it, is amusing.
>there's no fricking way you bawds are currently defending soijaks as if they're on the same level as any form of art, this shit is a fricking anomaly
Until you actually explain how I'm wrong, this is just you calling me moronic for not liking a genre of comic strips.
You're not describing the same thing
>A more advanced comic series can have these "relatable moments" sprinkled in while having developed believable characters, which I think does the job much better
>That's not what is being said or implied by these comics. It's not to feel more secure about it when it happens, it's that you already know it's something that happens and it figures that anywhere there are push and pull doors, it's going to happen.
This is kind of getting off topic, but I think that eliciting a sense of relief through solidarity is the intention of these artists and is a reason for the popularity of these comics.
>>A more advanced comic series can have these "relatable moments" sprinkled in while having developed believable characters, which I think does the job much better
>Is describing a different genre.
>This is just untrue.
He says for him to relate. It might be true, you don't know what brain problems he might have.

Once again, it depends on the person.
>If there is a neurological issue here, it should be stated because this would be one so big it would need to be disclosed before opinions like these so there's a better understanding what's going on.
It's even more relatable the less known the author is.
>women should be sexy prostitutes and men should give up their interests and become dominant chads and they should all have 5 children
You can still be a chad while still having nerdy hobbies. It's mostly how you engage with it. If your entire personality is "I engage with [brand]" then you fail.
>women should have self respect and not regret not being a prostitute
Yes
>men should have interests beyond consoom the latest thing, support the latest thing

Yes
I'm amazed this thread only attracted SJ spammers and not tbe AM and BF comic spammers. Considering its a comics make me angry thread

Nope. I'm sure Cinemaphile in no way relates to some b***h complaining about doing menial labor while someone else who is more successful, good looking, and more outgoing does all the housework while financially supporting them. No siree

Unless this is some kind of inside joke its pretty damn bad. There's absolutely no point nor humor in it. It's like drawing a comic about a chef chopping a carrot for 3 frames and then saying something like :"I like chopping carrots because their better than potatoes". It's so fricking pointless and mundane, like it was made by an autist or ai.

they're inoffensive and easy to share. that's the only reason they're popular.
they're forgotten hours after a normie reads/shares them.
Bless you. It only took 454 posts, but God bless you.
why cant Cinemaphile have good threads?
the general quality of entertainment in the western-dominated world is piss poor and has been by design since the 1940s, I won't bore you with meaningless terms (or terms that have become meaningless by overuse from idiots who only repeat what they heard in an endless game of telephone from concrete idea to idiotic regurgitations) but the simple history is during the 1600s the King of England got scammed by early Ponzi schemers called the Virginia Company.
What is the joke?
What is this even trying to convey I dont get it. Is this the normalgay version of moeblob slice of life anime?

I've stopped making predictions for myself for like 5 years down the line, I'm impressed if she actually commits to this to her 80s
They truly have no idea about the depths of regret a childless 70-year-old feels, do they? You know that scene in LOTR where Theoden buries his son and barely contains completely breaking down? Imagine that but you don't have a shieldmaiden daughter and no happy memories from your kid's childhood to cling to (and a thought of afterlife with them).
I cannot imagine greater horror than seeing your body slowly fail with nobody left to care for you.
Do you honestly have kids, dough?
What an absolute pussy.
What are they saying?
Still more tolerable than any political "comedy" shit
I like seeing threads like this. It makes me feel more confident in starting my own webcomic.
The performative bewilderment in these threads is like how religious boomers see anyone wearing a super hero t-shirt as an idol worshipper seduced by a pagan religion. It requires a disconnect that would be harder to achieve it weren't purposeful and convenient.
