Iron man trilogy is only as good as it is because it they were made before the MCU became overbloated with nonsense, so they actually get the priviledge of just being straight up Ironman movies.
>make the soundtrack exclusively 60s/70s/80s songs >cast vin diesel as a tree >have human man fall in love with sexy alien woman
people ate this thinly veiled capeshit up. I firmly believe we will never see the type of autistic mania that the leadup to endgame brought ever again, it was insufferable
Yea, I mean, I'll be honest; I actually don't even remember what 3 was about. I just vaguely remember it being a little less good than the first 2. Maybe it was trash lol, Marvel movies all blend together for me now
1 was good because it was different
2 was good because it had heart
3 lost the plot and made everyone miserable as they go against their own message
Killing animals is wrong... unless they're ugly.
>1 was good because it was different
Where this notion came from? It is not any different from the Avengers or the latter Thor movies. Not in tone, characterization, or style.
>Use of music >Starting the movie with a family drama >Having the cast hate eachother then slowly start working together as a unit
Different at the time, studios are still trying to emulate it with the borderlands movie.
I give you the use of dad rock as a device and soundtrack but everything else is a fricking trope constantly repeated in superhero movies.
The first Avengers literally start with the heroes hating each other and arguing among themselves before finally putting their differences and grievances aside to stop the bad guy. Hell, they repeat the formula two more times in the sequel to the point where you as an audience wonder if they were friends to begin with despite the characters spouting that bullshit.
I think the first one is genuinely quite good.
The second one feels a bit directionless at certain parts, like how they had no idea what to do with Drax or Mantis, but it has important developments for several other characters and carries those out well.
The third one has dissonance between the plot being tragic and the tone still being upbeat, the characters are rushing the save the life of their friend who's dying on a table and yet there's still a joke happening every minute. It's the same problem Thor Ragnarok had. Some aspects are also pretty clunky like how Adam Warlock felt really tacked on, like they remembered last minute that they had to include him, But it does wrap up very nicely, it's a shame Marvel won't leave it well enough alone.
It's definitely the most successful sub-series in the MCU.
True. Gunn is a hack and his DC will flop hard.
There may be something to them but it's not for me, the first movie has an 8 on IMDb
They are the most fun and genuine flicks to ever come out of the MCU garbage pile.
Captain America trilogy and Iron Man trilogy mog them hard.

i have rewatched gotg 1 and 2 and no desire to rewatch cap or iron man so you're wrong

This. The sense of suspension of disbelief on the part of the public that these films enjoyed will not return.Gunn is done with DC.
1 and 2 were great, 3 was OK. They're not exactly cinema masterpieces but they're definitely among the best Marvel movies.
Three was the worst marvel movie made yet, and I say that as someone who likes the first two.

Raccoon guy's past and animal rights
that can't be right because GotG3 doesn't hinge on you having watched one of their streaming shows
I would say 1 was great, 2 was good, 3 was kind of shit
I like the third one. first two are alright but never cared that much for them.
I'll never understand why Gunn refused to include Nova in these movies. I feel bad for anyone was a fan of Adam Warlock
Gunn hated Nova for some reason. He made fun of the character before.
>I feel bad for anyone was a fan of Adam Warlock
Thanks bro. But I already was hurt as a fan of Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Groot, Drax...
But Gunn is the only capeshit director be comic-accurate!

They're okay. The animals' story in 3 is compelling.
For me it is the television dialogue that Gunn writes for these films but it seems to me that he has never worked on television.
Rewatched them recently, i think 2 is my favorite simply because of Baby Groot and better music, 1 and 3 get quite boring at times
still the best of marvelslop tho
I rewatched the first one recently and it doesn't hold up as well as I expected, Lee Pace was wasted. I hope the 2nd one is better.
