These two reboots of classic cartoons will end on July 27 and 28, one day apart. Any final thoughts on them?

Looney Toons cartoons are mostly really bad.
Mickey one is great all the way
Ones a great example of how to reboot an ancient franchise the other is not. Can you guess which is which?
Mickey Mouse?
the mickey one is really good why are they ending it? hasn’t the style of that show been the direction the brand has been going in for merch and the theme parks? if they end it they’re just gonna have mickey toddlershit again
Disney budget cuts and preventing seasonal rot. Much as fans love Retraux Mickey, do you want it to be like Spongebob?
Spongebob is one of the best modern cartoons on TV right now. It could either be like Spongebob or better than Spongebob, but if it's worse, it may as well not exist.
>> Rot up the wazoo made worse after the original creator's death
>> non canon spinoffs
I don't care for shit like Camp Koral or that shitty looking Sandy spin off, but you have to admit the the Patrick Star show and Spongebob itself still looks good. There is no post-creator rot.
Imagine people stopped making Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck just because Walt Disney died. That's what people are asking for when they say no more Spongebob just because Stephen Hillenburg passed away.
Mickey Mouse wish their animation was as good as current Spongebob, fricking Spongebob having better animation than Mickey Mouse itself is fricking embarassing.
Looney Tunes Cartoons could have been great, and in some instances the animation is, but the actual writing holds it back severely and oftentimes the animation is still cheap.
WW of Mickey Mouse was genuinely fricking hilarious and I'm sad to see it go.
I liked Rudish's Mickey Mouse. The designs were fun and the stories and action was great, so was the slapstick.
Never saw an episode of Looney Tunes Cartoons.
Hasn't this series of Mickey cartoons been going for like 8 years now?
10.
Although I did see this webm.
Shit animation and very predictable, but still funny, even if the gag's been done a billion times.
Was half expecting them to actually grow old together surrounded by half-rabbit kids.
WW Mickey Mouse was some good shit. I always enjoyed the "foreign" episodes they did.
Looney Tunes Cartoons might as well not exist.
Will Rudish make a Mickey Mouse movie?,Is the only thing that TWWOMM franchise hasn't done, i mean i kinda get that Disney and him wanted to give it a rest in 10 years have done:
>5 seasons of the original show
>2 seasons of the revival
>3 specials
>1 cruise ride
>1 ride for WDW and Disneyland
>Merchandise
It's the only thing left
Maybe he wants to make new things now.
The Mickey Mouse cartoons did slapstick better than the new Looney Tunes
Honestly, I feel like both are about as good as you could hope continuations of these properties could possibly be- and they still feel just utterly culturally irrelevant.
Ralph Bakshi was right. Fricking sick of bugs bunny and mickey mouse cartoons, they're good but the world doesn't need any more of these fricking characters. its done, its over, make new shit, please on god PLEASE
Mickey mouse was great. Gorgeous art style, lots of good jokes, even the animation was really good despite being tweened. Genuinely sad to see it go.
Looney tunes cartoons, on the other hand was boring as shit. It just made me want to watch the original shorts more. The art style is pretty nice, at least, but that's all it really had going for it. Not much of a loss. Hopefully the next Looney Tunes revival will have people who know how to actually write comedy working on it.
Looney Tunes Cartoons isn't dead yet, the Porky/Daffy movie is still on the way. Thank god Mickey Mouse is finally over, can't believe this piece of shit take lasted for over a decade
Shit take, you need your ass kicked.
>Looney Tunes Cartoons isn't dead yet, the Porky/Daffy movie is still on the way
Will Rudish make the MM13 movie as a send-off?
hope the mega sucess of Mickey to reboot another character or get his 3 Dog Band greenlight at Disney.
They seems to have a good relationship
Disney has this rule of making female mcs for their animated shows, Rudish has to genderswap them and age them down to teenagers to get the greenlight like Thurop Van Orman did with the mcs of North Woods, who changed them from orphan kids to orphan teenagers.
You can make one or two females and still make the concept work
>3 Dog Band
Rudish made THAT?
Hmmm... now that I think about it, some of the designs and animations do feel similar.
>Figment movie for Disney+
>Seth Seth Rogen
>Could've had Paul Rudish make this over Seth
I seriously would like to see a movie about the thought process of an executive just to get an idea on what's going through their heads to make these decisions.
>Darkwing Duck
>TaleSpin
>Figment
>Boys and Invincible forums mention that Disney is planning with Rogen to make more reboots of Disney IPs with the Disney Afternoon as big entry point
How do we stop him?
This but unironically why the frick are some people praising the Mickey Mouse shorts? Shitty animation full of tweening, a bunch of stolen jokes and plots from other shows, no funny jokes, it was just crap
still mad they made goofy look like a drug addict
Design is based on his original appearance.
That fricker loves his heroin!
Those Mickey Mouse cartoons are amazing and I'm surprised Disney allowed them given how Mickey shows personality in them
I think this is the right place to say it.
Gonna say something genuinely controversial.
I hate Mickey's voice.
The current one or just in general?
I guess in general. I actually didn't hate it for a while, but then I realized what's stopping me from rooting for Mickey more than I already do, and it's his voice. Let his voice evolve, for God's sake! He doesn't always have to sound like he got his fricking balls chopped off!
Let Mickey's voice be DEEPER!
Also, let someone draw Mickey looking a bit older in some official capacity.
Mickey's voice is one of the most iconic parts of his character so it isn't going anywhere.
A character is more than his voice. His actions, his personality, his design, his motivations. Mickey's voice may be iconic, but that doesn't mean he should remain so static in character. Mickey's changed and evolved before, he can do it again.
At least Mickey's voice is understandable.
Look at Donald, who cannot be understood if the voice actor has to speak quickly for him.
I think Donald's voice could do with some work, too.
Mickey Mouse 2013 is legit really good. I was honestly surprised how good it was after I gave it a chance. Good jokes, fantastic backgrounds, and amazing callbacks to the theatrical shorts.
Can't say the same for LT Cartoons. Looks okay in stills, but the animation is off putting like adult party cartoon. Writing and jokes fell flat most of the time. Removing guns is stupid too if you're gonna have so many eps with elmer and sam in them.
Give us background waifua at least
I’m glad I’m not the only one who wasn’t charmed by the LT reboot. It just felt off and boring. Side note, would they ever do new classical music ones for modern audiences? I could see that being a fun project
Mickey Mouse 2013 is kino and the best version of the character since Runaway Brain
LTC isn’t as bad as the rest of the replies say and looks beautiful but it is a massive mixed bag and honestly a bit of disappointment. Definitely one of the better LT revivals though.
Rudish's Mickey Mouse was mostly good until we hit all those weird vore episodes. The new looney tunes cartoons was a very hollow attempt at recapturing the magic of the classic shorts. I dont think anyone could recapture that magic nowadays. They would have been better off doing something in the vein of TLTS again. But that would require experimentation and Warner hates that.
At least Rudish mickey didnt have any fascination with gross butts and gore like LT
yeah I agree, it goes without saying I prefer Rudish Mickey. The half dozen LT shorts I saw were all fricking awful. When they're not reliant on gross out gags they subject you to this heinously stale and rigid humor that makes 70s Looney Tunes offerings seem fresh by comparison. There's also this attempt to flesh out gag characters for some reason. It all just sucks ass. The Looney Tunes Show and Duck Dodgers set a good precedent for the Tunes franchise. Like Batman, reinvention was their key to success. But they ditched that for a boring halfassed attempt at making classic shorts again. Part of me thinks the effort would have gone over better if they atleast tried to use some of the more obscure toons in place of the iconic menagerie but I could be wrong in that respect.
Damn, you’re really harsh on these. You must off gotten really unlucky because they’re actually some genuinely good ones, Like the Monkey Bird or Hare Ribbin sequel. Those are the ones we’re they were firing on all cylinders.
Feel like if these shorts weren’t made for streaming and instead were made for theaters and were released sparingly they would turn out much better. I feel if they would actually took their time on them they would be great.
I didn't realize that Johnny Ryan worked on the Looney Tunes Cartoons
Mickey Mouse was pure shit, don't care what the homosexuals here say.
Looney Tunes was fine for what it was.
Big mad? So sad! Too bad!
So basically mickey will outlive looney tunes by an entire day. Based as frick
Mickey's show is 100% top-tier 100% of the time, though I assume I've blanked on a bad one somewhere.
Looney Tunes wasn't very good overall. I mean, it was probably "good", it just wasn't enjoyable, and it's kinda dull to try to recreate 1:1 an old thing like that, and the Fudd gun controversy was just the final nail in the coffin.
LTC has some really good character designs that I feel do a great job at capturing the "vintage 40s aesthetic"
Consoomers, we got too nostalgic.
Both are good, but if I'm being honest Paul Rudish's Mickey blows the Looney Tunes Cartoons out of the water. Like, it's not even close.
At least the Mickey ones gave the main 6 more personality than they've had in awhile...
Looney Tunes Cartoons is the best Looney Tunes project since 1957. Mickey Mouse (2015) is the best Mickey Mouse cartoon, period. I don't understand why either of them are ending.
Rudish's Mickey Mouse was pretty damn good. Would’ve been nice if it could’ve kept going but I’m with happy with what we got.
