when the engineer sat in the chair and a CG "breathing tube" connected to his helmet to represent the snout of the original jockey I actually got legitimately pissed off
I just might but if it pisses me off you’ll have to live with yourself knowing that you did a wrong. If you can handle that weighing on your conscience I’ll give it a go
I love Alien 3, but yea basically anything else is fake. Alien 4 barely makes sense, cloning Ripley…and not killing them all after then events of the first two movies…
AVP is canon though even though it’s a cheesy movie.
Ridley Scott is a hack that got lucky with a couple of great scripts. He's got an eye for visuals but could'nt distinguish a good story from a bad one if his life depended on it.
Yep made the universe feel bigger and more mysterious to just leave it the Space Jockey as an unknown. Lots of franchises do this kind of thing where they try making everything connected and it just ends up hampering creativity.
Don't have to worry anymore.
Engineers are a plotline in the Alien's franchise that has been abandoned, and utterly eradicated with the sequel to Prometheus.
It's been a utter shit show to say the least.
The Engineers are larpers.

It was way cooler as some ancient unknown elphantine race who got fricked by the xenomorphs and not the creators of humanity retcon done in prometheus
Just ignore everything after the first two movies, it's what I do
I actually enjoyed Alien 3 and that’s why I refuse to ever watch it again because it was a time and a place and I’ll never be 16 again.
Watch it man. It's firmly good if you go in knowing what it is and isn't.

Best thing about 3 is the game soundtrack
The SNES version had a good soundtrack too.
HR Giger's art is stupid and it's only good when other people use it as concept art and tone it down in to something less obvious
"Inspired by HR Geiger" is kino, idk if I'd want to watch something that actually looked like his drawings all the way through.
Tetsuo the iron man is that basically
>and tone it down in to something less obvious
Are you one of these morons that call H.R. Giger's art "pizzagate shit"?

>eye for visuals
Judging by House of Gucci and especially Napoleon he lost even that. The dementia is progressing.
The wrong Scott jumped off a bridge.

What a disappoinment this was.
>actually, the weird looking giant alien was some really tall pale human with cancer
Space jockeys are not engineers.
Engineers came later and appropriated the space jockey technology.
Don't have to worry anymore.

It's the maaagic of cinema, my boy!
Because they're not meant to be the same moron.
We all know and accept that Prometheus isn't canon.
And bottom is clearly not any type of flight suit.
the og was part of the ship. not just some guy that can get out and take his trunk off.
The Phantom Menace of the Alien franchise.
Bio-pilots that becomes one with the ship is such neat concept. I like that concept in Farscape, but the pilots looked so doofy...
