I'm gonna take the guess that they didn't frick in that episode but they fricked between this episode and the next one. Lois was back at her place and Clark had Jimmy at their place, so unless they fricked in the alley I can't really see anything having happened at the end of the episode.
I've got to be honest, I kind of like this take on things. I wouldn't want it to be the standard but its nice to see a Lois that is actually not portrayed as being unable to get that two people she spends most of her time with are the same person.

I honestly like that they’re not dragging out the ‘will they won’t they’ in this. It’s Lois and Clark, you know they’re eventually going to get together. Why drag it out? Plus, so few cartoons really navigate character dynamics for new couples, since having the big happily ever after kiss at the finale is so common. It’s refreshing.
It’s going to get canceled and written off by next year for sure, but it’s nice that they’re trying something different.
