This movies just dont work anymore, yes part of it wokeness but a huge part is also the fact that is you wanna see some naked girl you dont need to wait a comedy movie to do so.

yeah, back then seeing naked girls was harder so having it in a movie was an amazing experience.

I feel like there is something more, there's an artistic part of eroticism that is just not present in porn that appears in those movies, that's what I want to see

probably because you didn't know if there would be nudes or not so it was a big surprise. Also you follow the characters for a while and you get to know them so its like seeing a friend you know nude for the first time in a tasteful way.

I think just because seeing nudity was harder back then. There is some overtown window of sexualization at play in human behavior. For example take vtubers, they never show their face, sometimes tbey will do hand cam streams and they show off thwir hands while they bake or draw and the chat goes crazy. Im pretty sure some of those dudes got a hand fetish from it.

then why do you have a zoomer's understanding of the past? you're the one repeating shit you heard someone else say without stopping to think if it makes any sense. these are movies aimed at young men and young men already had infinite porn at their fingertips in 2004, it was not any harder to see some breasts than it is today.

Because its true, in 2004 the internet was not modern. Half my friends didn't even have internet. In 2004 i think i had dial up, i remember because i was so excited for it but once we got the kit my dad couldn't get it to work and we had to wait like 2 weeks for a tech to come to the house. We used to go the house of this one specific friend when we needed internet. Even if you had internet you couldn't get good video, certain not video the quality of a movie reel. When the Spider Man 2 trailer came out i remember leaving my PC on the whole night to be able to load the trailer in like 140p. Maybe stop talking out of your ass.

in 2004 i was in high school and like 80% of kids had broadband internet, including me, and i was poor. this was also in eastern europe. in like ~2001 i only had dialup but i was already looking at porno jpegs online, plus kids were trading burned cds of shitty porno mpegs from kazaa. if you didn't have access to online porn in the 2000s you were either africa-level poor or africa-level stupid

online porn was already huge in 2000s, and essentially mainstream by 2004, which is when eurotrip came out.

                >In 2000, 70% of young adults used the internet
and that's exactly the target audience of sex comedies. and before you say "used the internet" might mean the school library, maybe, but then again half my school looked at porn on school computers

even if they did, a lot of parents used filters to block porn, but I'm guessing you guys had 200 IQ as kids so you hacked your way around them.

                Anonymous

in my experience most parents didn't, and even if they did the filters were limited (like it would block common porn urls but not kazaa or whatever) and anyway all it takes is one kid without a filter to download "rocco soccer gangbang.mpg" and burn it on a cd for everyone else. and then there was other shit like hentai vns, i distinctly remember playing some in middle school in like ~2002 and talking about them with other kids.

but you do understand that other people had internet access, correct? and that there were breasts on the internet? and also that there were porn magazines sold on every corner and dvds/tapes you could rent? so "it was hard to see breasts in 2004" is not really true at all, is it?

lmao. Yeah man I'll just go buy porn magazines and movies as a 14 year old. Holy frick you're stupid. Plus I wasn't necessarily referring to Eurotrip, but earlier stuff like Road Trip or American Pie.

              Anonymous

no, if you're 14 you just look at breasts online like i just said. plus most of the audience of those movies were over 18 and perfectly capable of buying porn. we're talking about whether these movies functioned economically as porn replacements and no, they didn't, that doesn't make any sense. people watched them because they wanted to watch them and the breasts were icing on the cake.

              >Plus I wasn't necessarily referring to Eurotrip, but earlier stuff like Road Trip or American Pie.
buying a ticket to road trip/american pie was already not the easiest way to see some breasts in 99/00, even if you were underage. american pie literally includes in its plot he fact that (turbo low quality) camwhoring was already a thing in the late 90s. also, did you people just not have friends or something? even pre-internet, the easiest way to see breasts has always been "my friend's older brother gave us these magazines" and not watching a movie hoping a nipple might show up.
