because it's the designated villain house while gryffindor is the designated hero house
>Why did Dumbledore abuse his authority?
Because he can.
Centralization. Not even once.

Jokes aside, Mao wasn't alive around the Tiananmen square massacre
>Hitler disarmed the citizens
>gives every man a K98k
huh?
>Whatever it wants
Fricking based.
Weak governments are for pussies.
how do you explain the UK
>UK
>Not committing massacres of its own citizens
Pick 1
dumbledore was a cetain way and had a predilection for harry
Harry was easier to manipulate if he was content and trusted dumbledore to have his back. He wanted harry to have a nice life if it became necessary for him to die for voldemort to be vulnerable.
>nice life
>living with the Dursleys for most of his life
>What did you do to me Anon?! TELL ME NOW! I can't remember anything of the last 3 hours and the living paintings said they heard you using the memory charm spell before walking out my room
Imagine beeing headmaster of only school in all of britain. One of most prestigous and ''safest'' places on earth.
Then oops, one of your teachers, turns out to be reincarnation of Hitler who tried to acquire ultimate power. He is only stopped because of some eleven y/o and his friends. And the same 11 y/o after saving the world dont snitch to your boss or news about your blunder. He did you a solid, you have to repay him somehow,
is Voldemort is hitler then who is Harry? Anne Frank?
Stalin.
Snape had been being a corrupt butthole nuking every other house for years, if anything it was overdue for Dumbledore putting him in his place.
imagine using obliviate on students right before an exam they'd do so poorly hehehehee
hahaha Yea would only use that spell to prank people nothing else hahahahah
To~ be fair McGonagall took 150 points off Harry and the gang (her own house) even though they were with Hagrid.
But if Draco hadn't ratted them out then Slytherin would still be fifty points ahead (down to forty with Neville's ten points). and win fair and square
Hagrid wasn't a teacher then, imagine Bart sneaking out of class to go smoke weed with Groundskeeper Willie. Wouldn't have cut it.
Dumblefrick favored the Golden Child chosen one nepobaby harry over the house that won via talent and merit. It was part of his long term grooming plan- boosting Harry's self esteem + creating a rival in Draco for him to motivate himself with
SCARED POTTER!?
>griffindor defeats wizard hitler
>slytherin wins because they are better at stupid sport and 1st grade reading
people would riot
But Hitler was the good guy.
Nobody knew wizard Hitler was even involved. For 99% of the audience, Harry, Ron and neville got a load of points for an undefined reason. That's the reason there should have been a riot
The system is meant to encourage academic performance and participation in extracurricular sports. It is simultaneously completely unfair to the other kids (who don't even understand what really happened) and absurdly low-stakes compared to what Harry and his friends accomplished.
It's a book for children
>tries to befriend Harry right off the bat but gets rejected and treated like an butthole
>retaliates and pranks and calls names to Harry and his friends
>somehow he's the bad guy
>wins the house cup legitimately along with the rest of his house
>snatched away and given to the special chosen one who's been an ass to you the whole time
>somehow he's still the bad guy
I'm surprised Harry didn't cuck him too
to befriend Harry right off the bat but gets rejected and treated like an butthole
Another way of looking at this is
>be on the way to your new school in basically a new country
>meet new kid on the train who has loads of family that go there
>he's super nice even if he's a fricking ginger
>you talk for hours, learn loads
>get to the school
>some kid comes up and laughs at your new friend for being ginger (fair) and being poor
Draco was being an butthole and got treated as such.
Pansy bros we won
?si=ioj-M7YkCWSfPfng
>has a playlist for medieval music
We definitely won
NO SCORE DESIGNATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION
Harriggi Riggitini
>Mr Potter, Miss Granger and Mr Weasley, you have all done the school, the government and the entire world a great service by stopping He Who Must Not Be Named from returning and wiping out all the Mudbloods.
>HOWEVER Professor Snape informs me that Mr Malfoy answered a really hard Potions question.
>harry, hermoine, and neville lost 150 points for being caught outside at night investigating ways into the 3rd floor corridor
>they then got 170 points back at the end of the year
>150 points were refunded after being wrongly deducted meaning they only got 20 points for stopping voldemort in real terms
HOWEVER
>draco was spying on them that same evening
>told the teacher about students breaking the rules
>20 points were wrongly deducted from slytherin for this upstanding behaviour
this puts slytherin 20 points ahead of where they should have been, and since griffindor only "won" by 10 points they should actually have lost the 1991-1992 house cup by 10 points
they lost the points for smuggling norbert, which was a pretty moronic plotline. hagrid really did deserve to be in mindrape jail
very comfy plot
wizard penal code is insanely scary I always thought
>do minor crime
>get short sentence
>in torture chamber that leaves you permanently traumatized or without a soul if you're unlucky
Genuinely intrigued by how they will approach the new HP adaptation.
Will they reuse sets? Brand new soundtrack? The series has it both easy and difficult.
Difficult because it is difficult to replicate the type of cast that wants to be in this for 10 years without suffering many losses.
And easy because the adaptation of the movies can be greatly improved.
I hope they keep Hermione cute.
>I hope they keep Hermione cute.
don't worry, they won't
hermione will be a gross Indian or something
the fanbase has already accepted that hermione was always black, emma watson is going to apologize for taking that poc role before she ever apologizes for her car
