>season 1 >wahhh why are you doing superhero stuff >season 2 >omg you're so cool for doing superhero stuff... but I'm just not as cool as you so we're breaking up
I mean I guess she's better but I still find her bland
>>omg you're so cool for doing superhero stuff... but I'm just not as cool as you so we're breaking up
not really, she said she feels alone when Mark is not around, she has noone to talk to about that and worse yet, b***hes like anissa can use her against Mark
By doing a complete 180 and sweeping all her prior actions and sayings under the rug with no explanation or reference to them. This being after completely ruining the character on every level from the comics. Nothing was "fixed."
>People think off-screen 180 is character development
It only works for characters we haven't seen for a long while and aren't that important. pic unrelated
it's so funny how they tried so hard to make Isaac "redeemed" and yet he just came off like a hypocritical coward
I hope his village got burned down and his head is on a stick rotting
Anissa is just playing the long game.
She knows Marks balls will shrivel up if she goes around killing people.
His sperm will be hers. She just needs to wait for the right moment.
>Threatens to break Amber's neck and kill everyone in the place >She says that Viltrumites do not like to kill, with "some" exceptions (obviously her) >She only let him live because General Kregg gave her the mission to go see how he was doing, not to kill or conquer
>THEY MADE ANNISA A GOOD PERSON
Anon, are you stupid or do you just not pay attention to what you're looking at?
If Thragg told Conquest "hey, go bring me a milkshake from the Earth and pay appropriately without killing anyone"
Conquest would obey because thats his fricking mission
Anissa was willing to talk in the comic as well, The scene of her trying to convince Mark and helping him save people is right out of the comic, except there she threatened Debbie instead of Amber.
it feels like they missed or forgot the whole point of Amber. She was a "perfect" girl for human Mark but didn't care for Invincible though she tried to go with it as long as she could before ultimately failing. It also pretty much marked the end of his human life. Not sure what they tried to achieve with the cartoon changes
Why don't these showrunners make pretty women? If they want to get black people to watch the cartoon, why didn't they make the only black girl in the series pretty? They need to do like the old school of animators, look for and have real people as references, they could use a young black actress as a reference like Marsai Martin
I think Amber looks fine. She looks more attractive in the second season somehow, I don't know if that was intentional or just a result of the personality change
They've subtly softened her facial features and made her eyebrows less arched and are dressing her in softer, more feminine colors instead of the green army jacket in S1. She looks less angry and less militant in S2.
Maybe it's a supposed to be a meta thing about why it's a terrible idea for superpowered people to date regular people? When she started dating a superhero, her original independent Season 1 personality was subsumed and she became a supportive girlfriend whose entire personality is built around being the supportive girlfriend waiting around for her superhero boyfriend to come home. She can never fully be part of his world or understand what he's going through and she will always be a liability. It's a cautionary tale about how difficult it would be for a regular person to date a superhero and illustrates why these two should 100% break up because this relationship isn't healthy or fair to either of them.
It depends on your career. Are you expected to basically be on-call 24/7 and if you do have a day off, is your boss going to come find you wherever you are and demand that you go deal with whatever situation has just popped up? Will people that you deal with at work try to harm your loved ones just to get to you?
It’s to make the Virtrumites look better with their proposition and make Mark stronger for sticking to his principles.
If Anissa came out being a bigger b***h it’ll make the Virtrumites feel bullshit with their mission.
Is not fixing. It's just writers writing drama.
When characters are coming together, make them not get along for tension.
When characters separate, make them get along, so that it seems tragic.
This is basic stuff. Writers do it all the time.
The showrunners are friends with the voice actress Zazie Beets so they expanded Amber's role and changed her appearance from being a blonde like in the comics.
>Zazie Beets
she's a mutt why is amber a full black in the show then? i though the writers/show runner/Seth Rogen were trying to match the "races" of the voice actors with the characters
>If they made her too light-skinned people would b***h about it on Twitter
So? people still b***hed on twitter about amber and not cuz of her skintone but her personality
Don't care still skipping all her scenes.

shits fricked
She is one step away from becoming a Gwen stacy for Mark
And now that Annisa and therefore the Viltrumites saw or know that information, she is already a target
>Posts video game character I really like
D-don't post e-east origin images, anon. It's against the board r-rules

they made anissa a good person aswell which is stupid considering it takes until her death to say sorry

they just made her personality do a 180 flip without zero explanation as to why.
They also still gave her extra importance for no good reason

Can't the same be said of any career?

I've never found a job that didn't work like that.
Low skilled labour often times don't have a say in the matter
Unless you're a doctor or something where your job deals with life or death situations, you don't have to answer your phone on your day off.
you're giving a seth rogen production too much credit

Oh shit my bad I thought I was still in the Anissa thread lol.
What does it matter? Doesn't she just drop out anyway?
Mark eventually ends up with Eve and they have a daughter together who inherits Mark's powers
.
Terra is a perfect precious cinnamon roll.

>fixed her
she's still alive and a c**t, so no they didn't
>fix character and make racist seethe like no tomorrow
Best timeline. I hope future shows pick up on this recipe for success.
-1/100 bait
And yet she's still black.
mediocre black characters makes you happy, good for u
Superior black character makes you seethe. Also good for me
We know eve is end game, why must we continue with thr charade

People also complained about the raceswap.
It's the one drop rule, if someone has so much as one drop of black blood in them they can voice even the darkest of black cartoon characters
> Looks at OP pic
> She's still black.
> Leaves
No they didn't
She's still black
