They made a live action Jeeg movie and I've never seen anyone on /m/ talk about it?
And yes, this is actually based on Steel Jeeg, it's not just something that coincidentally happens to have the same name. I'm surprised, because Jeeg is awesome, but it's not something you'd expect to be well known enough to get a live action movie.
Because it is not /m/.
It is capeshit story, and the villain fricks a troony
that is pretty evil anon
It's pretty good, but not actually an adaptation of Jeeg.
It’s really only in name only, it’s not actually a live action adaptation and the main character names himself after the title hero of a show he was watching with someone he is protecting, it’s just a generic superhero movie and he only puts on the mask right before the credits roll
>gaijin slop
I wouldn't watch it even if it had actual robots in it.
>"It's bad!"
>Have you watched it?
>"N-no but I don't need to!"
Every time
>how can you tell shit isn't tasty if you haven't eaten it? 🙂
You will never be Japanese.
Why would I want to?
Japanese exist to provide quality entertainment for me, something gaijins can never do.
I know full well how much of a hellhole modern japan is.
I’ve seen it and loved it.
It’s about some guy who gets super powers thanks to radioactive waste IIRC. He’s obsessed with Jeeg the anime (has a collection of figures and DVDs) and calls himself Hiroshi. The villain is crazy and has this weird as frick dance number at some point. Waaaay better written and memorable than your average Hollywood capeshit
It’s fun, has great action and crisp cinematography. Not an /m/ show per se but as a film buff I personally loved it
I mean, it easily mops the floor with the average marvel and DC crap but it's still not /m/
That's like saying Kamen Rider isn't /m/.
It inherently isn't.
It took decades before any sort of actual mech appeared in it.
And yet it's always been allowed to be discussed here. So I would contend this is also fair game.
>always been allowed
Mods being morons was this board's problem since day 1 yes.
Well, if you don't like it, no one's forcing you to stay here.
It's not. It has elements but it's not /m/.
it's not but they're allowed to hang around
It's like what if someone with laser vision calls himself mazinger after its photon beam
It's like that MTV version of The Maxx where everyone thought he was just some moronic janitor at the end.
Ran out of [1] images, necrohomosexual?
Seems like it got deleted for low quality this time around
The fricker deleted it after his post timer ran out.
Also, the same shit happened with the last Aldnoah Zero thread.
That homosexual would necro the thread with some random letter and delete the post right afterwards.
And he did that for MONTHS along with the usual image-necroing everywhere else.
The mask is off and it’s exactly on who I suspected it was all along , Necrobumper has digivolved into GHOSTBUMPER
By now I also wouldn't put it past some hired Pajeet who keeps bumping those threads to make the board look more active than it actually is.
I noticed that there are tons that always get necroed with some half-assed sentence that reads like it was written by a moronic 4yo and contributes nothing of real value to the thread.
No Hes been here for years and gloats about it on /tg/. Hes not hiding the fact Hes the ghostbumper now and has returned to his old habits(by deleting posts. How and why he spends a living doing this is beyond me
I know this thread got necroed and trolled but can we talk about the weird ass versions of Jeeg? In the Micronauts line which was an adaptation of Takara's Microman line (a subline of which became Transformers) they somehow got Jeeg and turned him into darth Vader
And Europe made weirder toys with Jeeg but I cant find him. They turned him into some barberian heman pirate thing and an alien horse
Why was Jeeg so popular? What made it stand out from other mecha anime at the time?
Magnet toys were cool as frick
