they should have made a series of movies set in the "Bay City cinematic universe", Starsky and Hutch could have been followed by a Barreta, a Kojak, a Columbo, etc

>the big towels are on the top shelf
Best bit, in an ok film.
Why did so many shows back in the day have a car that was basically a character itself?
Because cars used to have character. Especially American made cars.
Name 5
Magnum PI
I miss when heroes drove American.
Starsky and Hutch
Vega$
Columbo
Mr. T is the only one still alive isn't he
George Peppard is the only one who's dead.
No shit? Damn.
Lance LeGault, who played Colonel Decker is also dead.
The Rockford Files.
Green Hornet's car
was just reminded of that god awful movie with that homosexual stoner israelite
I hate that homosexual, Awful person
Because America's economy isn't centralized around the capital port city. Economic hubs are scattered all thoughout, and the development of individual motor vehicles keeps the wheels moving.
When do you think they'll start playing reruns of Dukes of Hazzard on CMT again?
They already have in Australia.
Nice
Because Americans are obsessed with cars to a point their entire infrastructure was redesigned around them. It only makes sense that this expanded to making entire TV shows and movies around “look how cool my car is, bro!”. It also explains why doing the same thing with boats and plan never became as big of a deal although they did got some mileage out of it during brief periods of interest.
The US invented car manufacturing... what the frick are you talking about? Its integral to the American ethos because of this fact. In addition, to the car being a symbol of freedom.
Building your entire infrastructure around cars is why you have such shitty city planning that instead of walking five minutes to the corner store you need to spent an half an hour going just one way to buy milk and everybody is stuck in suburban deserts where you can’t get anywhere without a car.
Where do you live?
Damn bro you sound poor as frick
Why did he type I ride the cuck bus over and over
Because that’s incredibly based, that’s why.
Beautiful post anon. USA really did used to be number 1.
Car films made good money back then
Because normal people were still catered to.
Thanks for telling me something I could've figured out on my own. You're a real benefit to have.
Oh. The stories we white people have. I had this best friend, y'all. Kid was atrip.
theres never been a "city" cinematic universe and it sounds like a great idea just to feature all these loosely connected places and characters
It's San Francisco. Starsy n hutch. Bullitt but gay & a TV show?
>Bay City cinematic universe
In Raymond Chandler's stories, Bay City was code for Santa Monica, a beach city due East if Los Angeles.
How does having the original Starsky and Hutch affect the continuity of this universe? How does it make sense for actors playing rebooted versions of other characters to be the same characters as the characters who are played by the original actors who played them? This could be a physical principle of this universe, but there is no precedent established for how it could be possible. It makes sense with Charlie's Angels, but here we have to assume doppelgangers are a natural occurrence as long as someone takes on the role of another and assumes their identity. Like if original and reboot MacGyver were both in the same universe.
It sucks how many roads and intersections there are. Man.. if blokes could just live and work in their vicinity society would be so much better instead peanut next door has to start his piece of shit Hyundai at 4:30 in the morning to get to his job by 7. That being said bike c**ts are annoying as frick too.
