You would think they would've thought about the casting and done chemistry tests before giving the part to Susan. George's wife didn't need to be an established character, it could've been anyone, like a new girlfriend introduced at the start of the season which was implied was the perfect girlfriend for him but he was resisting. Actually on that note they did an entire season with her as George's girlfriend. Surely they knew what she had to offer then? The story about not being able to bounce off her comedically doesn't make sense.
i recommend the entire interview though. Jason Alexander comes off as a huge prick pretty often, but it makes it more interesting that he gives zero fricks.
funny that the rest of the cast thought he was nuts until they worked with her though. I'm sure Michael Richards was on his side entirely because he was a grumpy frick on set too
in the last couple minutes of this one, he says a couple times that it was a "rough year off set" between Jerry and the other actors. I was always curious if it was about residuals or if some other shit had happened. I know in another part of an interview he says Jerry "made it right", but the two didn't get along well near the end
i don't know what you watched, anon, but he comes off as professional as possible here. it's kinda funny though. the other actors not believing him about how they don't mesh and then they finally work together to see he's right and they decide to kill her off. it's a plot right out of the show.
The Opera, I once watched it incredibly blasted, high off my mind, and I never laughed at something the way I laughed at it. It was the episode that made Kramer the closest to the dude who was basically Kramer in my apartment building
probably not very long. someone in HR would probably notice immediately. one time i snuck into my girlfriend's school to have lunch with her and my other friends. i was caught within five minutes because some lady that worked there "knew every single student that went to that high school"
I've seen a dismissal letter someone posted here (although might be be fake) after faking credentials. They were fired after like two days and the former employers were seeking financial reimbursement for the time spent interviewing a candidate that was unqualified.
Kramer didn't really fake credentials though. He just went there without any interview and pretended to work. Which is hilarious.

the entire bit is so genius, especially with Jerry being sad at home and acting like a neglected housewife. I always hated that the "it's your third day" line ended the joke entirely, when a second before Jerry was acting so depressed.

>Sounds like you were a bit unlucky.
He was 36 at the time.

1. The race
2. The episode with poppy
2. The one with the doorman
2. One where Newman interrogates Jerry
2. Also the one where Newman needs Kramer to lie in court for him
Ya I don't remember a lot of the episodes names. The Lloyed Braun serenity now episode was great too.
Heidi Swedberg states that the residual income she gets from reruns of the show does help her out, “It doesn’t pay my rent, but I couldn’t pay my rent without it.”
Strange how she moves in with him rather than the other way around. We never see her apartment other than George walking up the stairs to it but presumably it's much nicer than Geroge's.
I honestly have no idea why anyone would watch this overrated garbage. >zoomer
I’m 44 and hated this stupid ass show when it aired. Curb Your Enthusiasm is a patrician choice.
I never understood the complaints about her and how she didn't fit. I thought that was the entire point. I don't mind that they killed her off, but the wedding subplot and George desperately trying to get out of it were some of the best parts of Seinfeld.
Them being married for a couple of episodes, George accepting it and then Kramer telling him about alimony would've been fricking amazing. Then you could do George trying to bait her in an affair so he could get the money, some wacky shit happens, and George ends up getting caught and has to pay her.
Shit, it's basically what they did in the fake reunion.
agreed
It was one of the best parts of the show because nobody actually cared.
They should have just ended the series there. It captures the essence of the characters and show so much better than the finale did.
he should have killed her with a gun
Jason Alexander hated her and refused to work with her anymore.

Isn't that what marriage is like?
Yes but you can't just kill them for laughs when you can no longer stand them, so marriage is much worse.
Wait, you can't?

i was talking about the entire interview, not just that clip. he does come off as pretty condescending towards the actress in this one though
Without the aid of a parking garage, what are yall favourite episodes?
1, Soup Nazi
2. English Patient
3. The Marble Rye
4. The Pin Number
5. The Urban Sombrero
The Bootlegger
The Opera, I once watched it incredibly blasted, high off my mind, and I never laughed at something the way I laughed at it. It was the episode that made Kramer the closest to the dude who was basically Kramer in my apartment building
The Dinner Party
I like the one where Kramer pretends to work at a buisiness and still gets fired.
Always makes me lol. Also I wonder how long someone could really go with that strategy.

This really needs the reply "That's what makes this so difficult"
The one where George really gets into the Vandelay Industries bit, think it was the two-parter with Keith Hernandez.
1. The little kicks
2. The bizarro jerry
3. The foundation
4. the betrayal
5. the movie
the library
the contest
the jacket
the note
the puffy shirt
probably others but i think of lines from these the most often.
The Opposite is kino. I also have a soft spot for The Jimmy and The Pledge Drive just for their endings alone.

>One where Newman interrogates Jerry
easily one of the worst episodes in my opinion, with that scene being the only good thing about it.
the one where george poses nude is one of the worst? what are you on?
yes. it was another one of those cartoony george episodes late in the series. all the other plots weren't funny either
>The episode with poppy
which one?
Poppy is sloppy?
Chinese Restaurant
Cafe
Marine Biologist
Dinner Party
Masseuse
Tbh I can't choose, they kinda all blend together now because I haven't really watched the show in years.
what's the point in responding then?
I liked what she brought to George's character, but it was clear they were running out of ideas for her.
The Frogger
The Pool Guy
The Library
The Junk Mail
>what's that?
>the outlet? that's where the electricity comes out
>oh you mean the holes
shoutout to The Pothole
>hoooooooly cow!
Heidi Swedberg states that the residual income she gets from reruns of the show does help her out, “It doesn’t pay my rent, but I couldn’t pay my rent without it.”
that's really sad, imo. are bit actors averse to getting normal 9-5s when it's literally over? I guess I might be as well but a man's gotta eat.
Okay woman lover
They should have killed her the second she appeared on screen.
George being married could've been good, but George awkwardly interacting with Susan's parents after she died is also really funny.
After watching the show so many times since it came to Netflix I like her, her acting. And somehow I'm oddly attracted to her.
What gets me with the Susan plotline is I thought George would want to go through with the wedding because she's rich.
>oddly attracted to her
you're watching too much porn, she's a knockout
he doesn't fully comprehend the extent of her wealth until the foundation is made
Strange how she moves in with him rather than the other way around. We never see her apartment other than George walking up the stairs to it but presumably it's much nicer than Geroge's.
probably a lost episode where George feels less masculine because she asks him to move in with her. actually sounds like a decent premise
Would make sense considering he feels completely emasculated when a girlfriend beats him at chess.
I've got a great name for our kids. Real original. Want to hear it. Seven!
It was funny
my late parents were pissed when they killed her off.
just fyi
what's the deal
I honestly have no idea why anyone would watch this overrated garbage.

She had to die
They killed her? I thought he picked his nose and turned her into a lesbian.
